Our server Matthew was outstanding! It was great (belated) my boyfriend's birthday dinner! Thanks.
We went there to celebrate my mom's birthday. Everything was superb! Our server, Tara was very friendly and went out of her way to accommodate us. The food was amazing! My mom loved the Miso Butterfish and the Spinach Salad. I too had the Spinach Salad along with the Chateaubriand with a Peppercorn Sauce and it was cooked to perfection. We could not ask for more! The valets were very friendly and just completed a wonderful evening. My mom wants to go back for Mother's Day. I've already made a reservation.
Service was EXCELLENT, Wagyu Tomahawk SUPERB, Misoyaki Butterfish absolutely YUMMY and the salads?...AWESOME! The wine list great but perhaps some less expensive bottles should be offered. Our wine was wonderful but pricey.
This is without a doubt one of the best restaurants in Honolulu. The food was perfectly prepared the way we wanted and the seasoning and taste was excellent. The service was also spectacular. Top all of that off with great views and an awesome sunset, what more can I say?
The friendliness of the staff and the excellent food made this a very enjoyable evening.
Good place for a special occasion. Service was great and especially the view & atmosphere was fantastic!!!
Staff was pleasant, but they forgot a couple items ordered
View of Ala Moana beach is beautiful.
Tables are spaced far enough where conversations aren’t overheard.
Music was heard, but not blaring making conversation difficult
Overall, very satisfied
Family dinner for my brother’s birthday. The service was excellent and very accommodating for the two young kids. A pianist played the entire night which added to the ambiance. And a complimentary lilikoi crepe brûlée for the birthday boy, which was delicious.
We were celebrating our anniversary and The Signature made this day extra special for us! Our server, Rebekah, was awesome and attentive. We had the wagyu ribeye tomahawk steak and it was cooked perfectly! It came with truffle mashed potatoes, and we also ordered sautéed mushrooms and seared scallops. At the end, we had their lilikoi creme brûlée. Everything was delicious!!!
I would highly recommend trying out this place!
As always a pleasure to dine here. The food was excellent as well as the service and the price was right on with what you got. I would and do recommend this restaurant and when in Honolulu again, I will come back.
I think the atmosphere is wonderful but it is very pricey. I don’t feel steak is hard to make. We went there to celebrate my longtime employee’s birthday. The Waiter was not that friendly.
A wonderful place to celebrate our daughter's birthday. We enjoyed excellent service and delicious food. And what a breathtaking view!
Excellent service and live piano music in addition to food and drink.
We did have problems with service at the outset. The server never asked if we wanted freshly ground black pepper for our Caesar salads, and we could not, for a lengthy time, get the attention of our main server, or anyone else, to bring it. All in all, the flavor of our steaks was EXCELLENT. However, I ordered medium-well, and my steak was on the RARE side. Since it is somewhat dimly lit in this restaurant, I did not notice this until I had eaten half of the steak.
We had a very wonderful time. It was soft and tasty, it was the best delicious steak.
When I visit Honolulu, I definitely want to go again.
Signature is an expensive way
This was not the first time eating there. Their appetizers are always good, all of them and so are their salads and soups. My favorite however is the poke and French Onion soup. For my entree you can't beat the Bone-in Ribeye! I never had it cooked wrong and the taste is outstanding. There is a downside to all of this goodness, I can never finish my meal if I had an appetizer and soup before my steak, there is just to much.
The scenery from on top of the Ala Moana Hotel is spectacular especially if your there in time to see the sunset as well as Friday's firework's show from the Hilton Hawaiian Village.
You must go and try this place if you never been their.
The food was delicious from appetizers to dessert. The food is so flavorful and cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back!
Overall experience was good but I found the piano play loud. Also service was slow at times due to the large wedding party.
Everything was amazing from the view to the food. I have been searching for a great steak with a good amount of seasoning and sear and finally found it. We had oysters on the half shell, lobster bisque, truffle mashed, lobster Mac and cheese *the best ever*, and creme brule. All outstanding! I had a basil lemondrop Martini that was also outstanding.
The only criticism would be the piano music was too loud to have good conversation.
We had a fantastic dining experience on Saturday evening. The Signature is a wonderful place with a great view and even better food. We can attest to the Butterfish, ribeye and rack of lamb! Worth saving up for another visit, but it is expensive.
Very nice birthday dinner. Nice complimentary dessert. Plan to go back!
Everthing fine, except, the Bernaise Sauce that came with the asparagus and my ribeye came to our table "clumpy". Asked Danny, our server, to replace the Bernaise Sauce. 10 mins later Danny advised by the time the Chef makes the Bernaise Sauce, I would be done with dinner. Yup...thats it.
Very romantic place. We went there for our anniversary. Our table overlooked Waikiki and the ocean which was really neat. The food was pricy though but taste really good. My husband loved their lilikoi crème bulee!
NY steak and Caesar salad were excellent. Great service provided by Jordan. Hope to be back on a return trip to Hawaii.
(Note: I was using the no-longer-sold Costco gift cards—$100 for $80. Not sure I could afford to eat here very often. Expensive but nice quality)
All of the food was wonderful... and came promptly. We both had the seared furikake ahi. Perfectly done rare on mine. My date (birthday boy) wanted medium. 👀😱 He was pleased too. Came with garlic potatoes. Ordered a side of grilled Asparagus that we split., and each had a glass of house the wines. The house pinot and merlot were both excellent.
Our server was lovely... our only advice would be to maybe be a wee bit less in a hurry to clear the table while one of us was still eating?
The asst mgr Ivy came to make sure we were enjoying out dinners, and had a nice chat. On our open table online reservation, had been able to request a quiet part of the restaurant, with a view, which is exactly what we received. Had also mentioned that it was a birthday, and they graciously provided a delicious lilikoi brulee dessert with fresh blackberries and strawberries as garnish.
All in all, worth the money, and a nice choice for a romantic/special occasion, in my opinion.
Went for husband and i wedding anniversay! Ambiance and food was great! This place is on the 36th floor of Ala Moana Hotel so view was nice as well.
We were just there for a light meal and enjoyed the French onion soup.
My boyfriend and I had decided we would treat ourselves after several bad weeks of work and being frugal. So I made a reservation here for a Saturday evening at 6pm. Everything was fine, except we waited somewhere between 45 minutes and 1 hour after we were seated for someone to take our order.
My boyfriend and I were already getting ready to leave when the waitress came out and we told her we had been waiting for such a long time. She was very apologetic and both managers came out to apologize and offered to pay for our appetizers and drinks. The service was fine after that, but in all honesty and I don’t mean to be rude, but I don’t think we’ll come back here.
I’m sure it was an accident and I’ll admit, it seemed very busy that night. However,$ there were maybe 3 or 4 couples/groups that came after us that got to order and get their meal before we even got to put in an order. While we are very thankful for their apology and service afterwards, we won’t be coming back here for a while.
Made reservations ahead of time, got to the restaurant 20 mins early and were shown to our table, the servers were great, never rushed us and they took real good care of our dining party. All of the appetizers, main dishes and sides were excellent as well as the drinks
This was our first time. Wanted to wait a while before trying it and it paid off! Our experience was better than expected. We used to go there when Aaron’s was there and the view is still awesome. The food tasted excellent and the presentation, timing and service was spot on. It’s a little pricey but hey it’s an upscale steakhouse with a view! The portion sizes were a great value for the price though and they even give one serving of truffle mashed potatoes with the meal! My only slight disappointment was that it was my husbands birthday and I thought I had noted it on the open table reservation but it must not have been noticed. Anyway I sang to my husband and pretended there was a candle! But we’ll be back again!
Ambiance was amazing, spectacular view with great food!
Not a big deal but I needed to call for confirmation. Earlier in the day or the day before would have been nice.
Great food, good service, great ambiance.
Although the service and ambience was beautiful, the food was alright for an expensive meal. The wife became very sick after dinner (ate the filet mignon) and was in the bathroom throughout the entire evening and following day. She was miserable! I normally don’t write hypercritical things but it pained me to see her like that on our wedding anniversary night. On a positive note, they were generous to give us a lilikoi creme brûlée which was delicious!
The food and service was excellent.
Very worth your money. Food was prepared well. Steaks were awesome. Staff very friendly and attentive.
While I would usually give this restaurant 5 stars, this time I just can't. I ordered the Miso butterfish which was a disappointment to me since I've had better. The miso sauce was just a sauce put over the fish while it was cooking, and the flavor was just not great. The fish could also have been cooked a bit longer. Next time, they should marinate the butterfish. My husband was satisfied with their scallops and their crabcakes. The service was attentive, as usual, and because the view is always great, they got A pluses in those areas.
