   Booked afternoon tea for 3pm only to receive a call that morning to say they are finishing at 4 so we had to bring our booking forward to 2pm. The carriage was really designed and thought out comfortable seating, surroundings and ambience, waitresses were very attentive, however, the food was a bit disappointing, fillings in the sandwiches were excellent but the bread although of good quality was dry and the scones came with nutella spread & marmalade..........really! whatever happened to cream and Jam? All said we would visit again to try lunch but probably not afternoon tea again.

   Beautiful setting lovely food service amazing , my only gripe is I would like Solid avacado on sourdough not puréed but would definitely visit again.

   Excellent breakfast we really enjoyed it , really nice children’s menu for the little ones , great service it certainly will not be our last visit , looking forward to our next visit .

   Delightful place for lunch, including an all day breakfast. Good selection of food and drinks, with plenty of non-alcoholic drinks on offer. Pleasant staff, wonderful surroundings and comfortable 'First Class' railway carriage seats.

   This was our first experience of The Sidings. It was a really wonderful occasion - excellent, luxurious and well thought through design of the carriage and extremely smart and polite staff giving excellent service. The breakfast was the icing on the cake, beautifully presented and served. There was a lovely atmosphere, unhurried and efficient and, overall, an occasion to be remembered. Needless to say, we will be visiting again when we have family visitors into the county. I have only one minor criticism. People negotiating their way into the “window” seat find it difficult to get inbetween the arm rest in the centre of the seating and the table. Perhaps arm arm rests that could be raised (as on aircraft) might be of help! It was, overall, a lovely experience and I look forward to visiting again.

   The inside of the carriage was lovely with interesting maps outlining the route of a local railway. The seats were lovely and comfortable which made you think you were in first class! The food was delicious and the menu catered for all tastes. Lovely, helpful staff just finished off the whole visit nicely. I will definitely go back.

    Great experience, the food was lovely, staff were attentive and friendly. Highly recommend. Soft drinks menu was pretty limited, no options for a diabetic who wants a cold soft drink
