Currently, all of our seating is outdoors, and we provide a unique experience in the heart of downtown Petaluma. Our tables are nestled in the courtyard of Historic Hotel Petaluma and sprinkled on the popular sidewalk of Kentucky.     Loved all the oysters - both raw and cooked. The appetizers were great to share. The short ribs and mashed potatoes was also delicious.

    Absolutely adore The Shuckery and recommend it to anyone I meet. Who doesn't love happy hour $2 oysters 3PM-6PM daily. (They are closed Tuesdays.) Their fish tacos, baked oysters, and desserts are amazing! We used to really love the tuna tartare on the regular menu, but sadly they've updated their menu recently and it's no longer there. Still a wonderful restaurant with exceptional food, and friendly attentive staff who just instantly make you feel welcomed. Thank you for having us again!

    Feels like an adorable find in France or Spain. Menu is awesome, unique wines, super generous hospitality. Was there twice this week. Shovanny is wonderful, and so is the whole team!

    Customer service is excellent and the food is delicious, we got the whole fish for 2. Fish was super fresh and large, black rise we especially liked, the creamed spinach was more cream than spinach, we loved the salad with the melon too. I thought the pumpkin spice whiskey sour was delicious and had just the right spice.

    The place was very pleasant, at 5:00 when we arrived. By 6:00 it was so noisy that the three of us could not hear one another. The waitress was very pleasant very accessible and the food was wonderful.

    We enjoyed sharing several dishes: oysters, salad, cauliflower wings (addictive!), and clam linguine and all were delicious and nicely presented. Our server Sina was warm, friendly and had excellent familiarity with the drink and menu items. She provided excellent service with a delightful touch of humor. This is a small restaurant in the historic Hotel Petaluma with charm and style yet a relaxed and unpretentious atmosphere. A great place for a single at the seafood counter, a pair or a group but make a reservation as this is a popular spot!

    The seafood selection platter was exceptional. Everything was perfectly fresh, prepared well, and super tasty. The wine pairing was out of this world. Servers will new, so still getting their "sea legs" (sorry could not resist). I would highly recommend. The outdoor courtyard seating is lovely and will only be open til the end of October, so get there as soon as you can.

    Great oysters, get there b4 6pm for the happy hour prices, linguini w clams outstanding as well. Service was fine on a pretty quiet day. Corkage $25 Only complaint was the 4% service charge added to the bill. We do not live in CA did not appreciate that and thus the gratuity was reduced. Food and service 5 star

    Enjoyed outside table to celebrate birthday dinner for my best friend. Excellent wait staff (adored her attention and suggestions), exceptional food, and beautiful ambience. Will definitely return.

    We had a great meal with excellent service in the outdoor dining area. Our server provided valuable guidance in ordering freshly caught seafood. The oysters and the halibut were amazing.

    Our server was amazing she remembered our faces from our last visit super fun but sad to see her go home shortly after the first course. Tuna tartar excellent Pinkerton oysters great flavor clams linguine so good the Halibut was way overcooked so dry I could not swallow it they kindly brought out 2 more filet overcooked on one side asked for a side of sauce that was served with it and it was brought out cold. Don’t order the halibut but everything else was great

    What a wonderful spot in such a cute town! Our server Sina was truly amazing. All of her recommendations were spot on! We enjoyed oysters and the ‘tinned fish’. A totally new thing for us to try! We enjoyed the sardine pate and scallop. If you are a seafood or, these are a must!. We then enjoyed the whole rock fish. Sooo good! Cocktails and wine were also fantastic! We have told everyone we have met how amazing the Shuckery is!

    The service and the food was impeccable. However I do wish that the menu had a bit more variety/selections since we don’t eat oysters. The fish tacos were excellent. Luckily, a friend told me to order them since they were not listed on the menu. We will definitely be back.

    Always a great meal and wonderful staff! Love the focus on tinned fish and the whole rockfish offering - a delight to behold, eat and feel the sustainability-value placed on using the whole fish.

    Had a reservation, seated on time. Server was prompt with water and drink order, We had a variety of oysters and happy hour apps (cauliflower and bread basket) in addition to a few other sharables (ceasar salad and shrimp louie). Everything was just right! Sat on the patio - noise was fine. Will ne back!

    Although we live 25 minutes away in San Rafael, we go to The Shuckery often because it's our favorite restaurant. The cocktails are very good, the many different dishes we've tried have all been great, the service is always wonderful, and everyone is so nice there. Their clam linguini is the best I've had anywhere, and the poke bowl is to die for! We only wish it were closer to home!

    We had... Whiskey Sour--- Delicious, though serious drinkers might have wished it boozier. Happy Hour oysters--- delighted my wife. Della Fattoria Bread Basket --- Beyond delicious! Came with a little bowl of oil, sun-dried tomato, roasted garlic, herbs. The bread itself was perfection. Our waitress said it might well have been the best she'd had. I don't know where I've had better, and it was even better dipped in that mix. The Catch --- Perfectly done salmon, perfect asparagus, on quinoa with another sauce... All richly flavorful, beautiful, completely scrumptious. Conservas -- My wife tried two. They came with thin-sliced, firm bread. She liked 'em! I'd bet she'll try more conservas next time. This was her first go at the tinned (must not say "canned"!) delicacies. We feel lucky to have restaurants of this caliber in our little town. The Shuckery might be the best of that distinguished bunch. Very good service. Hard-working (it was Saturday evening), yet gracious. She checked in often, answered all our questions.

    The seafood never disappoints and the happy hour oysters are always top quality and from varied places but excellent! The whole experience is just fun and always special. We love the patio but the interior is warm and cozy and always convivial not to mention the hotel lobby area with its wonderful bar and gathering areas where one can eat and drink as an option. Overall the food is absolutely excellent, the wait staff seem to be as excited about the food offerings as are the guests, not to mention how impressive and indetailed and knowledgeable their presentation of the menu is and how fine the service consistently is. It’s a favorite for us and our family members who wish we could eat there every night!
