First time in downtown Petaluma and the Shuckery. We were seated at the bar and realized early on that we had a fantastic view of... the stuff you don't want to see at a restaurant - the messy sausage being made. Dirty rags laying around, opened drippy tupperware containers, random sauces dripping off of a scale... just not cute. I could understand if we were watching the food being cooked, but this scene was NOT that. I asked about the profile of the sparkling wines per glass. Was told they were both "bone dry" so ordered a glass only to have it taste sweet & fruity. Then the food came. Decidedly meh for $40+ per plate. Otherwise it was fine. Decent service and vibe. Just not worth the price tag.

Great seafood including old favorites and creative new "spins." Loved the octopus and the fresh oysters. Attentive service without being intrusive. One of my Petaluma faves.

The food was quite good and enjoyed by all. The waitstaff was professional and courteous and knowledgeable regarding the food and wine. They surprised my 94 year old mother with a perfect little dessert treat for her birthday, which we had at the restaurant. My only issue with the restaurant was the noise level, which I didn’t notice but my mother at 94 is hard of hearing and my brother is deaf in one ear, and they noticed immediately. We just spoke a little loud and made sure we were speaking directly to them. All in all, a wonderful night which we enjoyed.

Great food - get the Halibut it was amazing! And the oysters were sooo fresh and tasty. There wasn't a bad bite at the place.

I think this was my favorite meal at Shuckery since it opened. I had my 6 oysters on the half shell, but for the first time I had the Poke Bowl and it knocked my socks off! And the creme brûlée was on the money.

Everything we had there was great from the oysters to the fish tacos. The waitstaff was terrific making our time there a lot of fun.

We had delightful dinners, my wife enjoyed a beautiful fresh Poke bowl and I had the best Halibut dinner with lovely roasted veggies. Service was great and wines were delicious.
