Amazing halibut. The deep fried pork ribs were delicious! The halibut ceviche was also extraordinary!
Dinner was great we had salmon and halibut. Service was excellent !
Absolutely loved this place, will be coming back every month!
We shared a few small plates for the table and each had our own entree. For the table we had the lamb lollipops and meatballs I especially loved the extra charred on the lollipops. Because it was a Wednesday night, some of their bottles of wine were half off. We ordered a pinot which complemented my salmón entree and my husband’s pork chop.
Staff was very attentive and friendly and made our dining experience very enjoyable. So much, we went back for breakfast!
This is our second time coming here, and we had an even better meal than last time. The buttermilk pork ribs are excellent, as is their pork chops. But they were eclipsed by the butter cake, which is phenomenal.
Food was excellent. The chef is definitely good at his work. Would like more booths.
Decided to try the Shore Room for Friday afternoon cocktails and snacks. We ordered various food items off three of their menu’s, the happy hour, small plate and dinner. All of the food was delicious, in particular their lamb chops were incredibly tasty. Throw in the location, on the patio by the river and the result was an excellent TGIF experience. We’ll be back!
I had friends come to town from rural Nevada. I wanted to take them to a place that had some history. The old Shore Room was in the old Riverside Hotel. It was part of downtown Reno for decades. The new Marriott remodel is excellent and to bar restaurant area with outside tables is perfect when the weather is optimal. Food was great. The only issue I saw was that they are understaffed and the staff present looks stressed at times. I guess this is the post Covid/ unemployment benefits issue. I would still highly recommend this small boutique hotel and restaurant without a casino.
First time here. Joe was attentive and overall awesome. We'll be back
Quick service, great riverfront seating with plenty of shade!
Great food great service and definitely will be back. I only wish you had more vegetarian options.
We enjoyed our meal but noticed that there was very little front of the house management as far as clearing tables and our food was sitting out for quite awhile before it was brought to our table.
Very good food, service and ambiance. Great patio overlooking the Truckee river. Very cool lounge and bar.
Great food, service and location! Have never been disappointed!
Different happy hour menu which we liked. Love the bar and restaurant ambience. Sergio was a wonderful server...very attentive and pleasant. Food was very good as usual.
Always a pleasure to visit the Shore Room. From valet parking, through the host stand, waiters and helpers, everyone is friendly, knowledgeable and helping to make your visit a pleasure. We sat outside on their very pleasant deck overlooking the city. I’d mention our table number, but I want to make sure it is available for us! This is one of the half-dozen restaurants in Reno that we regularly enjoy.
Was tasty and enjoyable. My only feedback would be that I would have liked some leafy greens in my Greek salad.
Very good overall. While the patio was not it was unfortunate large trees got in the way of the river view. They could’ve used a trim.
Very limited menu and very over priced. Drinks were ok-nothing to brag about.
This is a very innovative and tasteful restaurant. The server, Saeed, was extremely helpful and caring. I loved the white wine Sangria and the skordalia. The Greek meatballs were great, but I have had even better before. The Caesar salad was very elegant, but I am not sure how fresh the lettuce was. Overall a great experience.
High end dining in a relaxed atmosphere. A true hidden gem. The food and service are top notch. If you haven’t been, I highly recommend.
Another great night of the show room. Thank you.
Birthday dinner everything good
Great ambiance on the Truckee River. Good food, great service.
We ordered the Greek appetizers. Amongst the best tasting ever. Server was outstanding. One of our favorite restaurants in Reno.
It was amazing! Such great food and service. Wonderful setting for a celebration.
Taste and presentation were both great. Service was top-notch. Highly recommended.
Not the fine dining experience we had hoped for. The decor is lovely, but the restaurant style is very laid back & casual. All other patrons were dressed very casual (we missed the memo & came dressed nice to celebrate our anniversary). Food was very good, but service was a little spotty. Again, just not the fine dining experience we expected (that may have been our fault for not doing enough research). I would still come back for brunch, but don’t go here expecting to have a super romantic/classy experience. P.S. the lounge is really cute, but was quite crowded with guests who were enjoying cocktails from the bar there. Very nice, but very casual.
This place was recommended to us by a friend for date night and we loved it. Food, ambiance, and service. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
Food was good - but if you're having dinner, the same appetizers that are on happy hour are approx. 2X the price, fyi. And the appetizer portions (hummus and tzatziki) were sparse as well. Service is amateurish at best, and I don't need a floor show with my meal via an overly familiar waiter.
In a place where entrees are $30+ (noting that the $34 pork chop I had was very tasty), I shouldn't have to ask the busser/backwaiter to mark our table between courses, and refill our waters during the meal.
Wine list is both uncreative and pricey (which one expects from a resto attached to a hotel, but they could make a better effort here, and have some old world selections that pair with the food. Server wine knowledge was really bad.
In addition, they should have proper stemware. No burgundy or bordeaux glasses - just a big, clunky AP glass. It was explained to us that "the people from the wine crawls keep stealing them." Well, whatever --> as a diner who is paying corkage (which was not even waived when we purchased another bottle from the list), that ain't my problem, and at this price point, I would expect better.
In summation - I like the Shore Room - but will only return for happy hour.
We met some friends walking to the restaurant and asked them to join us. Shore room accommodated us and we’re wonderful!
All the food selections are large portions. We have been there at least a dozen times with gaps in between, so we are sure different cooks each time, but still nicely presented. Siera & Kaitlyn shared with us on the champagne mimosas that the best taste is the cranberry/ lemonade mix, they are NOT wrong.
The service was very good. I was very pleased with my server. My food portion was good and I was pleased with my options. But I do have some suggestions.
For the Bottomless Mimosas , please have smaller glasses and a smaller pitcher. And for the Flourless Chocolate Cake, maybe have a smaller slice.
Great food, great service and beautiful location
We were looking forward to a nice night on the town on the river. We went as a foursome, with an early dinner at 5 pm on a Saturday. We were 20 minutes early, and they said they wouldn't seat for dinner until 5. No problem. She suggested we wait in an adjoining room. There were no cocktail servers, so we got our drinks at the bar and sat down.
The bartender certainly wasn't surly, but absolutely deadpan. No pleasantries. Strictly, what's your drink, here's the bill.
They seated us at 5 pm, and we had requested outside seating, but the weather wasn't cooperative. Much too windy and warm. We asked to be seated inside. There definitely wasn't a crowd for dinner inside, and it took an inordinately long time to get seated 5-7 minutes, when we could see plenty of open tables. It could have been they didn't have enough servers, and they had to make accommodations, but unlikely.
The staff as a whole didn't seem cohesive. The service was adequate, but no enjoyment in their work. We weren't in their way, but it seemed off-putting. It's hard to put a finger on it.
The food was fine, hot and as advertised, but the menu as a whole seemed to try too hard to be exotic. Prices reflected that.
The atmosphere is just short of warehouse. It was loud without too many people in there, and as it got busier, it was almost too much. And if you have a dining room on the river with a glass wall, it would seem that someone would want to make sure the windows were clean. No one had. They were smeary and dirty.
Not interested in a return trip and would not recommend for others.
Food was fantastic. Wait staff was very friendly. Definitely will come back again.
Loved the vibe! Amazing views and service, and the food was so delicious. Totally recommended as a brunch spot along the river!
Charcuterie was dismal. Cheese selection was mediocre. Only one type of cracker and it was a plain water variety. Only two meat selections and one was almost dead/expired. Hamburger was fine. Fries were good. Drink selection was great.
The service was excellent. Morgan was attentive, but still gave me space to eat in peace.
Interesting vibe here-the restaurant is very modern, with river side seating, great food. Then there's the bocce ball crowd inside, families having fun, great place to watch a game. It's all easy to enjoy.
