    I do find it annoying when a host brings the bill while you’re still eating. Drinks we’re pricy, but only one was made well from our party of 4. I’ve had better experiences in the past at The Shore.

    Really cool spot. However, nothing was overwhelming good, and I didnt feel that the $180 meal was worth it.. We got the meatballs, they tasted like everyday, ordinary meatballs and were served luke warm, almost cold. We got this pork appitiezer, it was not good, actually it was kinda gross, thankfully they removed it from our bill. The filet was good but everything else on the plate was meh... The desert saved it, very tasty, very tart, nice fruit, it was like a flavor explosion, like how I expected the rest of the meal to be. I didnt leave thinking, "I cant wait to go back there." It was good, but not worth the money. The drink menu was decent, but the bar tender was pretty distant, not really welcoming at all but made a decent drink. The table for 2 was really small, uncomfortably small. We were there around 530pm, in Nov, the river is not visable at all, just the lights from the parking garage across the street. I was hoping for an awesome experiance, and didnt get it. I would have rather bought groceries for the next week. Sorry yall....

    My rainbow trout entre was bland & served maybe room temperature. Disappointed. My husband's steak was well done & he had ordered med rare. He enjoyed the Caesar salad & it was a nice big portion.

    Made to wait, albeit not too long, for no apparent reason. Cordial, accommodating waitress mitigated some of our displeasure. Prices much higher than they should be, considering the venue's ambiance...probably designed for visitors rather than locals. Lived here 46 years. Won't be back.

    This is my fiancé and I’s new favorite spot! It’s in a great location right next to the Truckee river. You can eat indoors or outdoors (with firepits). We went to celebrate my fiancés birthday and our new engagement and they treated us like queens! The server Paulett was so incredibly sweet. She made sure we had everything we needed and then some, bringing us champagne and a birthday/congrats card!! Wonderful people, amazing food, and an overall beautiful experience!💛

    One of the nicest brunch places in Reno. The patio is stunning with river views and fireplaces. We ordered bottomless mimosas but felt neglected by our server when we asked for refills.

    What a beautiful evening! The sunset, the firepits, the river view... the drinks, the food, the service - all fantastic for celebrating a birthday! We will definitely be back; locals say the brunch is a MUST and so we will!

    We enjoyed a nice table by a window with spectacular river views beyond the Fall foliage. The service was quite prompt, and we enjoyed several tapa-style selections, which was perfect for us. Each bite was memorable and - no need to hurry, so we were able to truly savor each taste. The wine selection was also impressive, and it was an excellent date night, thank you! Oh, and yes: the cloth napkins folded in the shape of the State of Nevada was a very nice touch!

    We have been to The Shore Room many times, but this time was extremely disappointing. My husband asked for a Shrimp Cocktail, which had always been on the menu, but he was told they only serve that in the bar and he couldn't get one. I had always loved their grilled Caesar Salad, but they no longer prepare it that way. It served in a soup bowl and was marginal at best. We both ordered the flat iron steak medium rare, but they came out very well done. They definitely had an off night, but I doubt we'll ever go back. The manager offered to bring my husband a shrimp cocktail after we were halfway through our entrees. Too little, too late. It's sad to see such a nice restaurant go downhill like that.

    Excellent food with variety of selection and value. Very friendly and accommodating service from all staff. It is an energetic atmosphere which may be good for some, but a detriment for someone that is hard of hearing.

    Food was very good. Service has deteriorated significantly. Not sure if they are understaffed or the staff is just not as attentive a previously. Previously, Shore room seemed to have a show package or menu. Now, you are lucky to get what you ordered.

    Have eaten there several time. However, this dining experience was very disappointing. Food was very good as always. But the service was terrible. Our main course was forgotten. We had to ask for it. It appeared our waiter had forgot to place our order with their kitchen. Also, we were not checked on through out the evening. We had to constantly ask for water refills and our dishes were not picked up until we ask a busboy to do so. I only hope when we return service will be corrected and back up to the high standard we had come to expect.

    The restaurant was spectacular. The small plates were perfect for a shared dinner. The drinks were also very very good. The MUSIC was too loud. They turned it down when we complained but it was still too loud. We want to enjoy a beautiful dinner with some table conversation no with raucous music. You have a classy restaurant with great food and the loud music just detracts from the lovely setting. Turn it off

    Positives: delicious food, small plates and some entrees, good selection. Great service, attentive yet unobtrusive. We sat inside and it was too loud, especially considering it was midweek--it was hard to hear conversation. Outdoor tables have river views and some have firepits, if we go back we might try sitting outside if weather permits. Would recommend if you don't mind a loud dining environment.

    Enjoyed our dinner very much. Food was great. The service was better than I've had anywhere lately. We were on a tight schedule to make a show at the Pioneer Center, and our server helped ensure we were able to be served quickly.

    We had a wonderful time with our Table on the patio overlooking the Truckee River. The View was amazing, the food was spectacular and the service was excellent. We cannot say enough about how wonderful the Shore Restaurant is.

    Decided to stay at the hotel on a whim. The food was superb! I love that it is a la carte, and the dishes are smaller portions. I tried the Caesar salad, Tomato Tart, and the chorizo-stuffed quail. Outstanding! Gracious and attentive waitstaff.

    The food was wonderful and nicely prepared. It was all very fresh. Restaurant was clean and inviting. Views were nice. Service was good. The reason I am giving 4-5 stars is I put in the reservation notes we were there for a friend's birthday. And we were celebrating. Not only did that not get acknowledged, but I figured that they would bring out a complimentary birthday dessert. I had to mention it was my friends birthday to the server. On top of that, I guess there is only 1 dessert, and she brought it out, and we still got charged. So, that didn't really set a great celebratory tone.

    Small plate (Tapas) style dining. Every dish was tasty and nicely presented. The lamb was perfectly cooked, but the ribs were a little dry. Salads were large enough to share with 3 people. Bright dining room with lots of energy. We had a wonderful dinner experience.

    Food was delicious! Servers kept delivering entrees for other tables that were not ours. Other than the confusion, we had a good time. Wish they would plate for 4 instead of 3 when your are with a table of 4. Having to order additional plates for all of us was annoying but we managed lol

    I was surprised to discover this hotel is in the Bon Voy collection. Despite the hit or miss reviews, I made the reservation. The view of the Truckee River was serene and appealing. The dinner unraveled because of the service. The waitressed seem a bit unsure as to how to answer my questions regarding the wine list. When I asked for a dry white wine from Italy, the recommendation was way off. I realize everyone's tastes are different, so I wasn't too concerned. The octopus was chewy, despite the recommendation that it would not be. The desert menu was limited and not very interesting and by that time I wanted to leave. My request for access to the Wi-Fi caused a lot of confusion for the waitress and was only resolved when someone - I'm going to assume he was a manager, since he did not introduce himself - entered the password. I was disappointed pointed to over hear the hostess present the daily special to the table behind me, which I would have ordered had I been presented the option. Inconsistency with the service warrants three stars - but I would come back for the view, but not on a Sunday night.

    This was my 3rd time going to the Shore Room. The food as always was delicious, however the service was a bit lack luster. Felt like the wait staff would rather be anywhere else but there. Not sure if I will go back.

    We always have a great time having brunch at The Shore, the ambience is always top notch. This time, my food was only okay. I ordered brisket hash, and the brisket was utterly meatless. Just giant chunks of fat. The service was very slow, and no one refilled my water, which had bugs floating in it from being outside. We had to wait a half hour for our check. Very unusual.
