Here at The Ship Stock, Chelmsford, we pride ourselves on delivering friendly hospitality in a warm and friendly environment.

At the Ship you can enjoy excellent dining and a wide range of beers and wines while taking in the beautiful views of the countryside. We use locally sourced produce and everything is homemade.

In the warmer months, take the chance to relax in our lovely beer garden with a refreshing gin or a pint of craft ale. We now feature 6 booths on our terrace area perfect for all year round.

We came for Sunday lunch and the food was absolutely amazing and great value. The starter or halloumi fries were the best I have ever tasted!!!! The first table we were seated at I could feel a draft so the staff were happy to move us without any fuss. Will defo be returning, highly recommended!!

Good well-cooked food. Only problem was, we should have asked them to go easy on the chips, as there were far too many for my wife, and unfortunately she had to leave more on her plate than she would have liked. Good service, and friendly people.
