Really wish this place was in my area!! This is the kind of place that would thrive in Collegeville! I mean, it’s only an hour drive, but I’d legit be there all the time if I were nearer.
Right off the bat, beautiful restaurant interior, especially the stunning bar. Bright and cheerful without being overbearing or passé. Modern and yet somehow cozy. Loved it! The chairs at the tables... hello, something very unexpected: you think you’re going to sit on a simple wood chair, but your butt is greeted with soft leather cushion! Nice touch. Followed by terrific service, with a kind and patient server and support crew. Love that, especially!
We tried a bunch of offerings:
-Malanga Chips + Tzaziki :4/5
-Cheese Curds: 4/5 (They arrived a few minutes after their fry, meaning the jam soaked a bit more into the cues and the cheese hardened faster than one would like- but that’s nitpicking—-otherwise, delish)
-Chicken Parm 5/5
-Bucatini pasta accompanied the Chx Parm 5/5 **The restaurant really kept the customer’s satisfaction in mind and allow us to sub out of red sauce for the pasta and try the fontina cream sauce. They basically gave us a side pasta of another dish- the White Bolognese, which was so gracious. And even more delicious!
-Chicken Skewers 5/5
-Plain Tots 5/5
-Zesty Cucumbers 4/5 (a bit salty)
- Vegetable Lasagne 4/5
-The Shelby Burger with fries 100/5! (By far one of the best burgers I’ve had, ever... and that’s serious. I love thin patties because it gets those crispy ends when cooking on the flattop grill— I was in heaven. As was my hubby, who’s nickname growing up was “Burgers”. Really, this was the highlight of the whole shebang)
-Cucumber Gimlet 4/5
-Coffee martini?? Can’t remember the name 5/5
We really enjoyed ourselves. The husband hasn’t shut up about the burger and it was MY meal! 😂
Please consider expanding south. We need places like you to make our lives better. Tired of national chain restaurants that suck. Shelllbbby!!
The bill definitely did not coincide with the food that was served. A prime rib cheesesteak should be exactly that not a stuff piece of toast! You pay 15.95 for a cheesesteak you should at least receive something of hoagie size and let me tell you this cheesesteak was NOT! Awful. The only good was the appetizer and the French fries oh wait the lobster Mac and cheese my son in law had was good but it was Mac and cheese the lobster was hard to find and lacking in quantity for sure! Everyone hyped this place up and I’m not sure why it definitely will not be a place We will return too 😝👎🤬
Probably only the third time I have been to The Shelby.
There was a beer pairing dinner going on in the rear of the restaurant so the noise level escalated as the night went on, but the service, attention and food was very good. Definitely go back again!
Great food and atmosphere. Stylish design, professional service.
Far too noisy. Couldn’t hear talk across the table. Will not return for dinner. Will try lunch and see if that is less annoying.
Everything was excellent. I wish they would bring their BLT back onto the lunch menu. I was told a few months ago that this was going to happen but it never did.
Wonderful food and surprising ambiance for restaurant in a mall.
The service was great and the food was very tasty. Their drinks are always very unique and flavorful.
Not a very welcoming or pleasant dining experience. Put us at a table super close to the next table even though the place was only a quarter full at that point. Asked to be moved and were give attitude by the host who muttered that they have a lot of people with reservations - like us! Our reservation was through Open Table. Maybe they see this as a lesser reservation??
Food is just ok, nothing special. It’s a restaurant in a shopping center, way too much attitude given what they have to offer.
Pass it by, too many other better options locally where the customer is appreciated.
Delicious food and great service! Just a moldy smell upon being seated —not sure if it was my napkin or the fact that the side wall was open to the outside weather ?? —but otherwise, a great experience!
Excellent service and delicious food!
Chicken Parm was big and tasty
I love the vibe of the place. I had a rice bowl with tofu and it was fantastic.
From the time we walked in, we felt comfortable. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We all loved our drink & food.
Always great service and excellent food.
There weren't many tables busy that evening, nevertheless we were waiting more than a hour for the food after ordering. The waiter did not make any attempt for an apology or make up for the waiting time. We brought guests with us. My wife and I were embarrassed for proposing the place....
While the food was good, the amount of food for the prices was not a good value. We ordered wine and had the smallest pour I've ever had despite the higher than usual price for a good but not great wine. Plenty of other places with better food and lower prices.
Best meal I have had in a long time. Get the Chicken Thighs. Blew our minds away how good it was. Service was great and Clint the manager was present and made his way through the dining room talking with guests and helping out the staff. Perfect for date night, business meetings or social gatherings with friends and family. A real treat that you will want to experience again. In fact I went twice in the same week. Great work by all and we will be anticipating our next meal from The Shelby. Until we meet again Bon Appetit!!
It was just ok.
If you want a expensive meal go here, the food was good the atmosphere was 2018 hipster lots of people there.
We had a great evening at The Shelby. The nachos were unique and delicious. My husband thought the lobster macaroni and cheese was outstanding (and brought half home-generous serving!). I had the Turkey burger which was unexpectedly spicy. Beer list was great! Our service was outstanding. We will return.
Wonderful happy hour drinks! Very good food and service!
One of our favorite restaurants in the Lehigh Valley. Especially the Sunday brunch.
Was a great experience. Definitely will be back!
We always enjoy dinning at The Shelby. This time around we brought our daughter, who has several food allergies. They were more than accommodating and she had a fabulous dinner.
The menus is very interesting and I love that they can accommodate allergies and dietary issues. The food was fresh and delicious and the service was fantastic.
Had a great meal! Tried a veggie pizza this time and it was out of this world good. Love coming here
Food ok but not great. Overpriced.
Awesome as always!!
Our swordfish entree was delicious. Nice selection of draft beer. Service was prompt and friendly. It was nice to be at a place with some vibe where there were others enjoying food and drink on a Sunday late afternoon. Some places are pretty deserted on Sunday.
Another great meal!! Had brunch sat out and enjoyed the gorgeous weather .
Great food and service, but it's a bit loud and not always conducive to conversation. Nonetheless, we'll be back!
Modern decor, very good food selection & service. Clean, relatively quiet, over-priced cocktails (this is not NYC or Vegas 5 star hotel). Food prepared well & nice presentation. One of the better restaurants in the Lehigh Valley. Yes, I will return
Great place with good food. Definitely a great casual place with good food.
GORGEOUS decor inside & out...very airy & flowery with soft background music. Menu had many varied items. Hubby started with large, delish bowl Matzoh ball soup. Then, had Shelby burger which had 2- 1/4 lb. burgers with several toppings & fries. Loved everything. I had Greek salad which was chilled & very refreshing. I also had fried cheese curds which were unique since they were topped with grape jam, peanuts, & bacon bits. It took me awhile to acquire a taste for this unusual combo. Large portions allowed for take-homes.
Meal, service and ambience were excellent. Being handicapped, iappreciated being seeated near the exit .
Great food and service for our anniversary!
While I usually love this place, my last meal was a disappointment. The usual Avacado toast has been replaced by a substantially more salty, less delicious recipe. The usually thick and moist gravlax type salmon was shredded, very salty smoked fish and I had maybe a teaspoon of Avacado. Disappointing as this was a real favorite.
I like when a restaurant does not have a million items. They concentrate on a few items making them well. The desserts are too big for me. The mixed drinks are delicious. Appetizers menu is right up my alley! Did not get entrees so can’t vouch for them. Overall nice! A tad noisy though.
Food Was very good. Service was great.
