Composed along the expanse of Swansea Bay, flanked by the Gower Peninsula and Brecon Beacons, within striking distance of the fertile valleys, coastal plains and farmland of West Wales, the Waterfront City of Swansea sits at the beating heart of nature’s larder. Bounties of the season from land, sea and pasture are at our fingertips.
Our daily changing menus reflect a constant creative evolution, making use of local produce at the very place and moment of their seasonal prime. This begins in the kitchen and is realised at the table; Egalitarian, convivial and accessible to all. Full in heart and generous of spirit.

Monday 14th July will see the meeting of two great nations, French food with Welsh produce at our restaurant. We will be welcoming my great friend Henry Harris of Bouchon Racine (ranked number 5 in the UK’s top 100 restaurants) for a four course feast with drink on arrival, all served family style at The Shed on the evening of 14th July. We ate at the Shed twice last year and it excellent. This time it was still great food but a bit quiet (maybe because of the rugby)

Staff are always so lovely polite & helpful. Weather was gorgeous so we sat & ate outside. I chose the veggie option this time which was very tasty. Booked again for July!

Bold flavours and interesting ingredients as always. Ox heart was much enjoyed by my guests. Good and knowledgeable service. Decent wine list. Specials selling out which is a positive thing. Great puds. Another good evening at the Shed.

What a treat!! Amazing food, staff friendly and accommodating. Even gave us a glass of champagne on arrival as I had mentioned it was our pearl anniversary on booking 🥂 Had a table on the pass, brilliant experience, will definitely be returning ❤️

This our second visit. First was for my partner’s 72 birthday, and Friday was with friends celebrating their 30th Wedding Anniversary. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Can not wait to return. Again many thanks to all the Staff. D Dallimore

Very tasty three course lunch. The staff were attentive and dealt well with the needs of a vegetarian, coeliac, who eat off the set menu. We will certainly be back.

Excellence is the best way to summarise The shed, an innovative menu serving fresh local produce in time with the seasons paired with a laid back but detailed service from front of house makes this place a must try and one I will be coming back too again.

We had the best Sunday lunch out ever after the Swansea Half! We chose the Gower lamb with Yorkshire pudding as an extra. It was of exceptional quality: ever so slightly pink, extremely tender and an unforgettable flavour. The Yorkshire pudding was outstanding (and my wife is from Yorkshire) as were the roasties and cabbage. Even the desserts were raised to a higher level than in most places; we had the pavlova and panne cotta. We just wish we had a Shed in Bath because we’ve got nothing to touch this and even London might struggle.

We booked a table for the two of us for 7pm on Saturday night. We were in Swansea as my partner was competing in the half marathon on the following day. We called into the restaurant at about 5.30 to ask if it was a problem to eat a bit earlier. This was not an issue and we were shown to a table immediately. We both ate three courses from the a la carte menu. My wife had the shredded pork then the plaice with a few fries. I went for the fresh mussels followed by braised lamb. Both courses were beautifully cooked, nicely presented and despite being pretty full up we had light desserts, plum sorbet for me and coffee ice cream for my wife. Great food well priced. Most of all though was the service. The team were attentive, informative and just lovely to chat to. Great evening and thanks to you all, front of house and in the kitchen.
