I have been looking forward to coming to the Shed for the first time for over a year now. As a way to ask my bridal party to be apart of my wedding, I invited them and my family to brunch. Everything was decent. The service was great up until we were getting ready to head out the door. We spent a good amount of money on food, drinks, and desserts. As a bridal party favor, I brought personalized stemless champagne flutes with festive gift bags and tissue paper. Juan, the "bartender," approaches one of my bridesmaid and whispered "did I just see you put one of our glasses in your bag?" We were all immediately appalled. His excuse for falsely accusing us was that he was "protecting his inventory." I felt profiled and embarrassed that he would think we would steal his glasses. He spoiled the end of what was supposed to be a very special moment for me and none of us appreciate it. I will never give this place my business again!
We went for brunch on Sunday. The place was completely empty. The host sat us at a 2 top table, but when we asked for a 4 top - we got attitude. He said, "If that's what you need." There's no one here! Lol I got the good morning sunshine or starshine breakfast. The potatoes were not good; it's like they were made when they opened & sat there until someone ordered them. The eggs and bacon were ok & the biscuit was dense but I ate it cause I was hungry lol And the guys in the kitchen were so bored they were damn near taking a nap on their station. Not a good look.
Would definietly suggest stopping by when you are in the area. The service is absolutely sensational, and every single thing I ate was amazing.
Came for brunch... The food was overall good but a bit skimpy. The service was also lacking - we got seated fast but were slow to have anyone bring water or ask if we wanted drinks, etc. Grits are so cheap and I only got a shmear on my plate (got the shrimp and grits). When I asked for more grits, I was charged $5 for a bowl and we were finished eating before they came out. I told the server I'd already finished my meal so I didn't need the grits anymore, and she reluctantly got the manager to take them off of the bill. Wished the experience had been better but not sure if we will try it again.
We visited this restaurant for Father's day. It was quite loud, crowded and waiter looked stressed and overloaded. My husband stated they did not give him enough grits even though the dish was shrimp and grits. My daughter was not happy to receive only one French toast. I was satisfied with my brisket dish but not having to summon the waiter for a refill on coffee.
Ate at the Shed this past Saturday. The restaurant was pretty empty. We had a great bottle of Rose which was on special for $20, good value. The fried okra appetizer was delicious but the meal went downhill from here. We ordered the kale Caesar salad which was just okay. I had the scallops and my husband had the redfish. The scallops were a little salty and the portion was really small. My husbands fish was also just okay. Service was good. Probably won't be coming back here.
The welcome is both warm and friendly with efficient service and great food. Each visit is always at the highest levels for food service and food quality.
Great food and awesome experience even saw a celebrity while we were there
Shared the Parmesan-crusted chicken and arugula salad- plenty for two and tasty.
Always reliable. Hands-on ownership, delightful staff, great craft cocktails and a carefully curated wine list. Love stopping by on a whim to eat at the bar or planning a birthday party at the place.
We live OTP and it's always worth the drive in to eat here. It's always lively and busy, and the servers are friendly and attentive.
We always enjoy our time here!! Amazing food and staff and atmosphere too. It's one of our favorite spots in Atlanta!
Celebrating the Shed's 9 years as a delightful neighborhood restaurant where you can always find good food and good service in a friendly atmosphere.
One of our favorite places for a quiet date night. Rick our waiter is always great and makes us feel at home.
I always have a great experience at The Shed. The staff is welcoming and knowledgeable about their food and drinks. We have attended several of their wine classes and they have become a tradition. This particular visit was to partake in the Scoutmob deal of a kale salad, 2 cocktails, 2 burgers, and their homemade ding-dong. OMG, it was a tasty and indulgent line-up. They barrel age their own bourbon and tequila--a must try. The burgers are juicy and pair well with the bacon jam. The ding-dong is not your store-bought bore, but a decadently rich chocolate. You won't go wrong with The Shed.
Our server was wonderful.
Nice family style menu for Mother's Day.
Great service and great food! I would definitely recommend
This is a great place to come for brunch. The bottomless mimosas are a good price. The kitchen does close at 3:00pm so if you're planning to hang out in the afternoon make sure you come well before 3!
Our server, Rick, was very pleasant and always around when we needed him.
Our timing was bad as unfortunately a delivery hadn't made it and two appealing entrees weren't available.
We asked about the gazpacho and heard there were 3-4 pieces of shrimp in it. We ordered and were so pleased to find 4 large shrimp in our soup. Unfortunately the soup was a bit too spicy and vinegary/tart, so we quickly tired of it after the initial interesting bites.
The beet salad was very nice!
The dessert was outstanding. Our party of 4 tried four of the desserts and they were all yummy. Probably the best cookies (hot from the oven) we have ever had.
The food was very good - I had salmon (cooked just the way I like it) over polenta with cherry tomatos. What was nice, everyone was so personable - our waiter, Chris, made my cousins feel so welcome. It was my cousin's birthday and it felt like we were being entertained by an old friend. They recently moved from San Francisco & said The Shed would definitely be on their list to come again.
Expensive for a family of 5. Very small food portions for the price and even smaller meals for kids. Beautiful restaurant and standard service.
It was ok. I liked the old menu better. Wasn't impressed with the pimento cheese grits.
The food was okay---heavy dressing on the kale salad but it tasted fresh. We ordered the carrot cake for dessert which took 30 minutes to arrive. After much apologizing, and exposing that the kitchen had lost the carrot cake (?!!), the server took the charge off the bill but did deliver the cake. I gave a low mark for overall service but our server was very good.
Really nice spot!! Great ambience!! Superb cuisine!!!!
Love the place! We went during the weekdays. Same tasty food with quieter ambiance. Plus, more attentive service.
Great food and service. A few things were a bit on the salty side but overall, it was great. Tried many different dishes and topped it off with their Signature Ding Dong and Farmhouse Ale. Would definitely go back!
First time there. Great service. Food was very tasty. Menu was great.
Consistently reliable - great food, drinks and seamless service.
Service excellent. Food ok. Ordered Lamb Shank and Burgers. Could have been seasoned more. But overall, nice dining.
Food could have been better for the price. I don't mind the pricing but if I'm going to pay $24 for cod it should taste better than a Gordon's fish stick
Nice neighborhood restaurant, low-key and casual with good food and drinks. Nice place to go on a date, or take your family, and the service is very friendly and fast.
Overall, great experience here. food was thoughtful, delicious and well presented and very timely. Service was prompt and impeccable without being at all stuffy. Definitely look forward to returning.
Love the $3 Wednesday Sliders! Brussel sprouts and mac 'n cheese are great sides.
Our sever Alex was great and personable. Definitely won't be our last visit.
The desert was one of he best we ever had. The food was delicious. 3 glasses of wine, two appetizer, two entries, and two deserts were over $140.
Valentine's Day Price Fixe was a terrible value, KC Strip was dog food. Lamb Tartar was tasteless. Dessert was okay.
We dine here often. The great food and service keeps us coming back.
They are great at seasoning food and pairing wines. Sometimes things can come out slightly overcooked (steak) but for the most part it's a great restaurant with good food and friendly staff
