one of the very few organic restaurants in midtown. the interior is a dump but quality of food and inexpensive prices make it a super place. i am pleased to have discovered it. there is NO excuse for restaurants not serving organic eggs for brunch so thank you.
This restaurant is high quality in all respects - always welcoming host, warm inviting atmosphere, interesting nautical details in the interior design, good quality wine list, and outstanding food. It is one of those restaurants where the chef knows what he is doing - not only the seafood, - fish, oysters, scallops, but creative salads and “pirogis” are really good.
It was very good, but we did not realize that there was a special menu and that the regular menu would not be available. Both of us had looked at the menu online and were looking forward to things that were not being offered the night we were there. What we had was very good though, and it's a very sweet place.
Local reliable standby. Good food at reasonable prices. Casual neighborly ambiance.
Have eaten there many times and food always excellently prepared and presented. Very warm ambiance and friendly servers. Every guest taken there has always wanted to return.
the surfburger is very good and was cooked just the way I asked which is medium rare. the coffee is ground to order and also excellent. it was my second time there and this time the service was very lax and we waited what seemed like forever for our main dishes. the staff was apologetic and gave us a complimentary dessert and our friend an extra glass of wine which was the right thing to do.
I enjoyed a delicious lunch with a dear friend and The Shadmoor was just the place for us to meet. The service is great, delicious seafood and an environment easy to talk! PS: you’ll find the restrooms behind a hidden bookshelf wall!
Wonderful restaurant and delicious food. Great for lunch and dinner
Wonderful cute casual space with quality food.
my first time here and it was very pleasant for lunch. had the tuna crack appetizer and a glass of arborino wine, and my firend and I share a side of asparagus risotto which was excellent with many nice chunks of asparagus. nevertheless with tax and tip my share came to over $44 which is a bit steep despite the high quality of the food. and did I mention the restroom tucked behind bookshelves? how quaint and delightful is that?
Excellent service, delicious food
Nice dining experience food good atmosphere good
Thanksgiving dinner was so delicious!!
1st visit. Cute, warm and smallish space with nice vibe. We were impressed with the fish.
I picked this spot because of location (close to my job) and hood reviews. The service was attentive and kind, and
The food was OK. With all the good attention we received from the waitstaff, I expected more of the food. We had a shrimp appetizer, which was pretty tasty, and mussels, which were somewhat flavorful, but not outstanding. Honestly, the best thing about the meal was the sautéed spinach. My Pinot Grigio was good, and my dining companion seem to enjoy his beer and glass of Pinot noir. I was glad that we start to small plates, rather than an entrée, once I tasted the quality of the food.
Have been here before. Food is delicious and service is very good. Highly recommend you give it a try
The server was inattentive and spike so softly that we could not hear her. Food was fine; nothing outstanding.
