   This was a nice find and the food was very good. The pork chop was incredible! The service was good but we had to ask for a couple of things more than once. In hindsight we should have requested to sit on the side that was exclusively restaurant as opposed to the bar side. We made reservations weeks in advance for a nice dinner but we felt a bit like we were on the sidelines of a bar crowd. Overall we would go back and recommend it to others.

   The Standard Spread was outstanding but additional toast points for the spread would have been preferred. For dinner, we had the chicken and dumplings, the chicken was fantastic, and the glazed carrots were delicious. Oh… the lemon drop had a unique dehydrates lemon which was out of this world as according to my girlfriend. More than anything, our service was brilliant. Thanks to Margot, she gave us a tour of the rooftop, which we will visit next time. Many thanks for an enjoyable dinner.

   The dining area is lovely. I had the house burger which was delicious. My husband had the pork sandwich which was packed with flavor. One person in our party ordered the ceaser salad. He would have preferred for the chicken breast to be cut up rather than served whole.

   The server, Mustafa, was extremely attentive and welcoming us in many languages! His recommendation on wine, a fruity and dry Sauvignon blanc was excellent! The king salmon was beautifully presented in an exquisite pistou sauce, on a bed of asparagus done to perfection, cubed flavorful potatoes, and big white beans melting in the mouth! Not to mention the crunchy note of the salmon skin.The desert, a crunchy yet soft puff filled with an hazelnut “ fondante “ light cream accompanied with chocolate twists was literally out of this world and so good looking! What a wonderful eating experience!!

    Very good service but the food was weirdly underseasoned. I had high hopes. Also the vibe is sort of weird. Too bright lights - didn’t feel cozy or romantic though the design is lovely.

    Although the restaurant didn’t have any vegan options on the menu, the chef accommodated me with custom (and delicious) options. Moustafa (sp?) provided great, both friendly and laid back, service. I’ll certainly return on my next trip to Sacramento.

    Enjoyed the atmosphere until needing to use the restroom. All gender restroom that had Men and Women using at the same time/multiple stalls. We would not have eaten here if we knew of this setup. Was very uncomfortable for my wife and I. Also did not have many cabs to choose from and the one we ordered was out. Pork chop was a little over cooked but presentation and overall dish was very good.

    Super yummy! The interior design is stunning. Very luxe contemporary. We came for lunch and cocktails on a Saturday and I was sad to see not that many people inside. Perhaps because a lot may be put off by the pricing. I would definitely say 7th Street Standard is high-end. It is worth it if you have the means to pay for a pricey lunch, all of our food was quite divine. I had the brunch French Toast and I'm still thinking about it, too yummy. We got a round of their specialty "Pear'd Back" cocktail which was very interesting and we all agreed it would be the perfect cocktail to unwind with on a chilly night, the hint of pear and cinnamon really worked well together. All in all this place was gorgeous and the food was very good but also relatively expensive. Four people for brunch with 1 cocktail each was a little less than 150 dollars before tip, I definitely wouldn't be able to justify spending that much on lunch for anything other than a special occasion, which it was. Just a gorgeous place though and our waiter was very friendly.

    The staff was very accommodating when I requested to add more people to my group for our Easter foodie dinner. However this correspondence was via voicemail and email since no one answered the phone either time. The restaurant is beautiful and the bar is very handsome. I know it's a new place so very few people were there and while the staff was friendly they did seem to move quite slowly. Several people from our group got up to get their own drinks from the bar which is not my idea of good service. We also ordered 2 bottles of champagne for the table and often resorted to pouring bubbles for ourselves. We all agreed the starters and entree's came out with gorgeous presentations but the flavors overall were underwhelming and sadly bland. Luckily the desserts were beautiful and scrumptious. Kudos to the pastry chef. Upon our departure we had a very hard time finding the valet person to retrieve our car. Finally, I approached the front desk of the hotel for assistance and they were able to track him down and our car keys. For the the near future I would go back but only to sit at the bar and would only order desserts. I'm sure they will improve overall in time. I just expected more since their rating was 4.5 stars.

    We had Easter brunch here for 7 people including 2 children. Everyone loved their food but the service was not great. Our waiter didn’t smile once or even really say hello. He was slow to come around to check on us and rarely filled drinks. For the high prices and beautiful location we expected friendlier and better service.

    $65 12oz Wagyu Ribeye was surprisingly underwhelming. The only Wagyu part of the steak was the word “Wagyu” written on the menu. The chicken and dumplings was not as bad, but the dumplings were more biscuits than dumplings. Overall, the vegetables were good with occasional chunks of salt, but all the proteins on our table were not worth the price tag. The food didn’t do Justice to the great service and nice decor.

    This restaurant is a great addition to downtown Sacramento. The food has been excellent and the service as well. You are made to feel very welcome here -- everyone is friendly and gracious. At our most recent meal, two servers who had helped us on earlier occasions even came by to say hello. I think this reflects the restaurant manager's commitment to make diners feel appreciated. The location is great, and the overall ambience is lively and very cosmopolitan feeling. It is often a challenge for a restaurant to balance great food and service with a casual and friendly environment. The 7th Street Standard has managed to do this really well. Highly recommend.

    Super tasty and creative food! We loved the asparagus salad, baked toma cheese, and pakora starters. The halibut and lamb were both full of flavor and amazing main dishes. And the pastry chef did not disappoint: the chocolate tart and the cream puff were both great and the Japanese custard was so delicious! Our server was friendly and attentive without being obtrusive. Overall very comfortable vibe in this restaurant.

    It is a very pretty restaurant, the staff is trying very hard, the menu is very limited without any specials and the food was bland, under seasoned and over cooked. The extra sides made no sense with the entrees, a lack of cohesiveness. Disappointing. There are fabulous restaurants in the area - Camden, Ella, Paragary’s, Grange, sadly this did not stack up.

    The write ups for the restaurant are correct, the food and service are very good. My friend and I had the duck rillette, morels and pearl couscous and braised lamb, along with a bottle of wine. All the dishes were very good. The couscous tasted like spring. It was light, fresh and all around wonderful. The check for the meal was a bit more than I’m used to, but costs have gone up and I don’t think the tab was more than the new reality. If you can afford to go, go, it’s worth it. My friend and I will be back.

    Overly large floor space, with a chilly corporate decor, 7th Street Standard wasn't exactly the romantic restaurant we were hoping for. On the positive side, the service was very attentive and friendly, and the entrees were solid (nice preparations of halibut and lamb shoulder). Less positive were the appetizers (two of which featured the same pickled orange peel slivers) and the price for the meal, which should have translated into a more memorable experience.

    We were pleasantly surprised on our first visit to this rather new restaurant. We had a reservation so we were seated promptly next to a window facing L St. Our waitress was very attentive and the food was very good. My wife said her steak was cooked a bit more than she requested. The rooftop lounge was really nice and we cannot wait to return for happy hour during the coming months.

    The expectation was high which I will take into consideration, and the drinks and food were very good - just not the over-the-top Michelin Star trained chef dishes we expected. Most of the appetizers were a bit disappointing including the Duck Rillette and the FALL SQUASH HASH-PORK BELLY. The YUCCA FRIES AND MUSSELS were excellent although there was not a spoon offered to serve the wonderful sauce, nor any sort of bread to sop it up. Everyone enjoyed their dinners or Salmon (excellent), a special Filet, the Ribeye, Monk Fish, and the famous Chicken & Dumplings. The chicken was mediocre, but the sauce and dumplings were fantastic. Overall very good but not up to expectation - this might be our own problem. The service could have been a bit more attentive and engaged - fine in general. The parking situation is pretty poor. You really need to valet at this location and they don't seem to have enough staff or experience. They live cars parked along the curb so that there is not room to pull in.

    Spent Valentine’s Day here yesterday and ordered off the chefs menu. Everything was so delicious and the staff were so friendly. Absolutely enjoyed our experience and will be sure to come back to try their regular menu.

    My husband and I had the baked toma cheese, the braised lamb, the halibut, with the lemon tart for dessert. We also had the Scarlet Letter and the Honey Badger cocktails. Everything tasted amazing, and the wine recommendation was great.

    The place is beautiful, love the bar. Convivial bartenders. Elegant cocktails. Delicious food, the entire menu looks amazing. Chicken and Dumplings are highly recommended!! Can’t wait to return and try more dishes. The perfect meet up for business meals or cocktail with friends.
