The food was very good. The location is amazing. Our service was slow and the waiter seemed uninterested in us. Not sure if it was because we had a our children with us or for other reasons. I wanted it to be a special experience for my children and it fell short of that goal.
Lunch was delicious. Waiter was outstanding. Only negative was that we ordered spinach and it was too salty. The waiter removed it immediately and took it off the bill. Beautiful restaurant. I would go back in a heartbeat.
We went for a special occasion. The location is as good as it gets in midtown Manhattan, probably one of the best locations in the city! Food was very good, but the whole, simple seafood is what made give 5 stars.
Service was outstanding, as it is rarely seen in the city.
First time to this restaurant and I must say, it was outstanding!!! First off, my server, Kim , was amazing. Good waitstaff always sets the tone for the experience and the tone was set from the moment I was greeted. Kim was knowledgeable of the menu to the extent that I would guess she was an avid fishermen in her spare time. Her recommendations were spot on. The chowder was not only tasty, but the perfect amount, it left you wanting more, but didn’t spoil you for the next course. Oysters were fresh and vibrant, I could have eaten 20, but 6 was just right...I bounced between choices for my main course, halibut? Salmon? ...crab cake? I inquired with Kim regarding my quandary and without hesitation she said “crab cakes” ...Let me say that as a Virginia boy, I know crab cakes...or so I thought...holy Schnikes they were good! I mean outstanding , baked, not fried, light but heavy with lump crab...outstanding experience here and the location was awesome. A nice Tawny to wrap it up was just right...oh and key lime pie ! I will be back!!! I have already recommended to friends who made a reservation already! Sea Grill is legit, but the “Sea Girl” Kim, made the experience so much better than just great food. Cheers!!!!
Very relaxing environment with choice of indoor /outdoor seating on the ice rink level of Rockefeller Center. Food was good for the price point. Great ambiance and service. There's also entertainment in the form of a band which I think will run all summer through.
Excellent excellent excellent. The location, quality service and amazing menu added up to the best dining experience for our trip to NYC.
I’ve dined at the sea grill on several occasions and love the seafood selections. The server was amazing. He kept us abreast of what was happening with our meals and thoroughly reviewed the menu choices.
Despite living in NC for decades, somehow managed to miss this spot until now. So glad to have found it. This is NY classy dining. Everything was presented creatively, prepared expertly and served flawlessly. View is from below to street level looking up at Rockefeller Center through a wall of glass. Outdoor seating is also available, but it was a little too warm for us.
Soft crab special was a menu addition, and well worth the detour, if it is on the menu when you go.
Tables are well spaced, and conversation was easy -- something that often doesn't occur NYC. Definitely recommended for grown ups looking for seafood in midtown.
I was blown away by the quality of this restaurant. In particular, our server Costa made our evening. He was a gem. So knowledgeable and friendly, attentive without hovering, and a joy to interact with. His recommendations were all perfectly on point. The food and drinks were all delicious, not a single thing was less than an 8/10. The atmosphere is lovely as well, beautiful interior and a nice view of Rockefeller Center for great people watching. This is a don't-miss dining experience.
Staff was great. Food was outstanding. Our server Costa deserves a raise.
This was our second visit in 2 months.. had a great meal paired with Rose wine... wonderful evening, great service and incredible table side acoustic guitar!
This is a tired restaurant -- tired décor and not-particularly interesting preparation of food. It is, however, in a convenient location if you're going to be at the Center. Services, however, was very good.
Great place to eat before taking in a show at Radio City Hall. The Price Fixed Lobster Diner was a Great value . Food was visually appealing plus tasted great. Service was impecable.
A rare find. Waitress was VERY ODD. Food was excellent, but waitress was bothered we ordered pre-fix menu. I felt unwanted in restaurant. Wanted to love it, but confusing to enter and managers eyed our party entire evening.
good for any occasion, whether dinner with a friend, business partners or more romantic reasons.
Our evening was perfect, The food was exceptional. Creative and delicious😋 This is one of my favorite NYC restaurants.
Our Waiter was excellent. Can’t wait to go back
This is my fourth time at this restaurant and I've yet to be disappointed. The food is always exquisite and the service impeccable. I can't wait to dine here again.
The food and service were wonderful as always. We have never been disappointed at the Sea Grill and would recommend it.
Had a great experience. Highly recommended. Elegant but not stuffy. Creative menu.
Costas is a friendly, kind, knowledgeable waiter. Excellent service! The food is top notch.
My former girlfriend (now fiancé) had been here on a trip to NYC and we had a great experience. We came back last weekend, and everything was even better than the first time. The atmosphere is very nice and laid back being around Rockefeller Center, and the diversity of the surroundings makes for a good background for a great dinner. The staff were all very kind, from the gentleman who took our reservation and seated us, the the waitstaff. The waiters were absolutely on point, very friendly and made us feel at home, and whatever Costa makes, the man deserves a raise, one of the best waiters I’ve had. All of the food was fantastic, everything from the Duxbury oysters to the seafood chowder and, the monkfish and couscous was to die for! Overall, an excellent dining experience in a wonderful city. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone who would like to enjoy great food in NYC.
Love the sea grill! We come back to dine when in NYC. Never disappoints....food fresh and delicious.
A fantastic diner with an amazing service. I enjoyed my dinner and the food was fantastic. I would raccomend to everyone.
all of the above, special occasions, everyday elegant dinner or business or date. Evenings are probably less for business dinner.
The ambiance is generally quite nice with a view into the RickCenter ice rink or a vivid bar/restaurant scene. On our day there, large tents with lots of darkening and construction-like views, it seemed a little drab, almost unpleasant to look at. We changed our seats to have that towards our back.
Took friend for birthday lunch. Had mushroom purée soup which was very good. Friend had seafood chowder which was equally as good. I tried Durate (1st time) and it was delicious, my friend had a seafood stew with corn and bits of bacon which she’d loved. The Sea Grill treated us with wonderful service and it has a really nice atmosphere. Would definitely go Again.
Very nice experience. The service was exemplary. All of the personnel were friendly and efficient. We enjoyed the visit and intend to return soon.
We had an awesome meal here. Every single thing we ordered was outstanding. Super fresh seafood and some really tasty inventive approaches, plus the straight-up whole fish and sushi was also great. When you go, ask to be seated in Costa's section. He guided us through some tough choices and is just an outstanding server in every respect. Made our night, actually.
Took my wife out for dinner before going to a performance at Radio City Music Hall
The service was impeccable. Never had better.
The food was very good the service excellant
The restaurant is hard to find, unless you know where it is located before hand. We called to find the location, and no one answered. The table was ready upon our arrival, the service was superb, but the food was mediocre at best. My surf and turf was very disappointing as the filet was overcooked and tough. This location is a tourist destination with a great view of the skating rink. Not recommended for a foodie.
Always nice bright place to have a business lunch.
The Sea Grill was a marvellous experience from start to finish my daughter took me there for my birthday and the food was amazing as were the waiting staff will definitely go again when in NYC
The Easter brunch was so expensive and so poor !! I expected more
Late Good Friday lunch at start of Easter - Passover Weekend for an older couple. Staff enjoyed our fun interacting through the floor to ceiling windows with the Rockefeller Rink ice skaters. A very pleasant leisurely lunch with good wines and good food. Particularly recommend the spaetzle with cream sauce side dish, cold jumbo shrimp ordered by the piece, simple crab cake, olive rolls. Excellent service. The Patina Group has done a fine job enhancing The Sea Grill.
Great setting especially with a view of the ice skaters
I have eaten here many times and it's always outstanding. Fine food, excellent service, and beautiful décor. bbbb
Excellent food and wine with very friendly service.
We had a wonderful dinner with a table near the windows overlooking the ice skating. The meal was terrific. I had the salmon along with a few others at the table. It was prepared perfectly. Highly recommend dinner at the Sea Grill.
