I had a great time celebrating my birthday here. Our server was super sweet and kind. Answered all our questions about the food, th wine selection and dessert. The bar manager also took time to talk with my boyfriend about the wines they had in house. Since we were a bit indecisive we ended up get the tasting menu which was perfect, if you like a variation of flavors. In addition we got some oysters and hamachi shots as well as their uni soul dish. Definitely would come back if we’re in the area or celebrating another occasion.

This was my first time eating at this restaurant and I am so glad I chose this place to celebrate my friend's birthday. The service and food far superseded my expectations. The ambience was lovely and food and service outstanding. The employee's keen attention to detail sets this place far above many others. The evening was really special and I am extremely grateful.

We have been fortunate to be able to remain customers of The Sea by Alexander's for all of the "Sheltering in Place" timeline, and we will continue to be loyal patrons for as long as there is a The Sea Restaurant. It has been our sanctuary of sanity in a time of madness. We are truly grateful.

Amazing service provided by all the staff, specially Joana and William, they did an outstanding job accommodating any request to make our dinner just "perfect" . They received us with a glass of champagne to celebrate my birthday!
We had hamachi shots and dungeness crab cocktail as appetizers, my favorite was the hamachi shots!
For main, we had miso black cod with half lobster tail (special request) and wagyu ribeye, both of them were delicious.
I requested a french martini cocktail that is not in their menu, the bartender didn't hesitate on doing it for me, and it was very tasty!
They also had a dessert surprise for my birthday and a cotton candy with a berry infusion , the best cotton candy I have ever tried!
Joana recommended her favorite coffee and I was very pleased with honey latte, barista really knows how to make microfoam!
My boyfriend is a coffee lover and was pleasently surprised on the taste and freshness and flavour of their monoco coffee.

I must say this is by far one of the best fine dining I've had, I chose this place for my husband's birthday and set reservations in advanced. We showed up and had the best service and food was outstanding and the ambiance was beautiful. We will definitely be going back. 5 stars for sure

Super innovative menu, expertly designed dishes, and super professional staff. An absolute delight of a dining experience.

The Sea by Alexander's is the seafood sister of Alexander's Steakhouse. While they feature seafood, they have nearly as large a selection of steak as they do seafood, which makes it a good place for me, at least. I like seafood, but I prefer clean, simple presentations, rather than more elaborate dishes. It might be a great idea if TSBA had one or two SIMPLE fish dishes.

I had the Cab Prime New York steak which was perfectly done and served with polenta sticks where were nicely done and very tasty. The tomato compote was a bit sharp, but the Cab sauce mitigated that. My companion had the scallops which were excellent.

For dessert, I had the Mandarin Souffle which was flavorless, and complemented by a Creme Anglaise, which was bland. If they are going to make an orange souffle, they should probably use Cointreau or Grand Marnier, and add some to the Creme Anglaise as well. This was not worth $20. My companion's dessert, a raspberry panna cotta, was MUCH better, very tasty and beautiful. Coffee was excellent.

It's our first time to this restaurant and to celebrate our anniversary. It did not disappoint. We did the five-course tasting menu, and they were delicious. By the fourth course I'm so stuffed already, and I need to taste their desserts. They gave us 3 desserts (5th course, Anniversary dessert, and a cotton candy). I would certainly go back to this restaurant again.

We went to The Sea for my wife’s birthday. The food and the service were both exceptional.

This is the 2nd time we went here for our anniversary. The host gave us a "happy birthday" note. That was not the Alexander's standard I'm used to. Another disappointing thing was the whiskey list were cut to 2-4 choices. The list from last year was impressive. The server said they had a new bartender and everything changed. The kings of old drink saved it for them. It was very delicious.

We were all very disappointed with the foods especially seafoods, the crab and lobster all fried food, I can eat those fried sea foods at pier 39, no need to go to a expensive restaurant to eat it. and the black cod was horrible. The truffle fries just like regular fries, and I was really excited to try the soufflé, but still disappointed, the soufflé was not crispy at all and too sweet. We ordered two chowder and we already told the server no bacon, but they still added into the chowder. Very disappointed. We paid $600 but the foods quality was not worth that price. I don’t think I will back to that restaurant again.

The food was very tasty! Maybe just a little less salt on the lobster rice but the fish was amazing!!!! Fresh and light and just seasoned perfectly!

So excited to be back at the Sea. We have missed our favorite spot since the pandemic shelter in place took over our lives. Can't wait to go back again.

It was an outdoor dinning experience, overall it's great with excellent services, food is super delicious. Highly recommended!

Terrible food. The cotton candy tasted the best in the entire evening. Negative values overall.

The main courses were nothing special. Sadly the food we get from Hello Fresh is comparable. The food lacked some heat and texture. The chimichuri sauce was so little. We won't be back again.

We went to The Sea by Alexander's for my wife's birthday. It is a very pricey restaurant but experience was outstanding and exceeded our expectations. The food was exceptional, in particular the lobster, which was cooked to perfection. We also had the seafood paella, which was one of the best we've ever had, and the appetizers (oysters and clam chowder) were divine. They had outdoor seating (due to COVID), but had done it up really well. Don't go there if you're counting your calories, but if you want awesome food, excellent service and great ambience this is the place to eat at.

Dined on opening day for our anniversary. All around fabulous. Super friendly and helpful service. Perfect wine selections espy the sparkling rose. Was craving hamachi shots that did not disappoint. Crab chunks withy Yuzu aoli were fabulous. Both miso cod and pacific snapper were sooo good with perfect sides. We even had lunch leftovers.
