   What a lovely experience. We both ordered the battered haddock. Batter was crispy and fish delicious. It was the first time we had had mushy peas as good as were served under the fish. As I cannot eat potato, I was offered a side salad. Dessert, we both ordered the same and that also delicious. We will certainly be back.

   Food was OK but nothing great to get me back, venue is very nice. Service was good. However felt it was over priced for this visit.

   We had an afternoon tea on Saturday. Unfortunately we felt the standard of the food was poor. The staff were excellent as was the location. A bit of a disappointment with the food. The sandwiches were fresh and I suppose ok really but a bit sparse on the filling for the coronation chicken. There was 2 scones each which were ok but felt 2 scones were unnecessary and just to fill up the plate. The 3 cakes each were all of a poor quality. While we appreciate it's not always possible to have home-made, a better quality shop bought is easy enough to do. We did have unlimited tea and coffee which was a bonus. Overall we felt not a lot of thought or effort had gone in to the afternoon tea. We will come back as it's a lovely hotel and the staff were lovely. Maybe try a lunch next time.

   Food and service was excellent. Cannot fault that. Price of a bottle of water for table unrealistic. Especially when in Scotland tap water is very drinkable. Won’t make that mistake again

    Service was brilliant the staff were very attentive, especially our server hannah. The food was really nice but the portion sizes seemed a bit small. I ordered the rack of lamb and it was 3 small cutlets with some mash and 3 bits of broccoli for nearly £40 didn't really feel worth it, I know lambs expensive but the plate could've been bulked with more veg. We ordered the side of mac and cheese and it was very very salty we did say to our server and they took it off the bill which was appreciated. The starters and desserts were lovely, really tasty and looked amazing when they came out.
