If haven't tried Taggia, you should. We've driven past the hotel where the restaurant is located many times and didn't know that an Italian restaurant was inside. We read a review recently and decided to give it a shot.

This is the real thing! A simple menu but you won't be disappointed. Very good service as well. We love Italian food and we now have a favorite. This is a top 5 Italian restaurant in the Phoenix metro area.

Try it- you'll be glad you did!

One of the best spots for modern-Itlaian cuisine. The service is impeccable, as usual, thanks Will.

We're moving to the PV/Fashion Square area and thought we'd try Taggia for our anniversary dinner. It was clearly the right call. We probably had the best waitress we've had in over 40 yrs of dining. Her name is Lauren. Absolutely the most knowledgeable, most accommodating and most informative waitress you could ever expect. We'll be back and will ask for Lauren. And another best....we had the best tiramisu we've ever had, very different and very special. The ahi tartare and calamari were terrific appetizers and my scallop entre is right up there with the best. The only disappointment was the strip steak, the first one was not done rare and was smothered in a too rich and overpowering brown sauce and the second one was done to perfection, but was tough and well, mediocre. Perhaps it's best not to eat strip steaks at an Italian restaurant; but everything else here was unbelievably good.

We love to try new restaurants in our area and heard so many great things about Taggia. We decided to go there on our anniversary. Food was great but the service was mediocre. Had a nice selection of Italian wines but a little more limited on anything else.

When we tried to leave the Valet was no where to be found. We waited a few minutes and then walked back in asked at the front desk and they said the Valet was on a courtesy shuttle run and should be back soon. I wanted to leave then so the front desk guy started looking for the keys. Another 10 minutes goes by with no keys and the Valet comes back on the shuttle. We finally got to leave.

The veal plate had to be sent back as if was way too fatty. The restaurant took back the food, gave us a new chicken entree on the house - which was better, but not outstanding.

My scampi meal was okay. Nothing spectacular. Odd they added so much cream to a scampi dish though. Also, there were maybe two shrimp in the entire entree - chopped so as to hide the fact that you were not getting much.

I had a dinner party for nine people. The food was fabulous. Some of my guests ordered the special of the evening All were very impressed
The staff were more than accommodating. Brian the manager made sure we were all comfortable.
Will. Our waiter. As always. Wonderful.
Some of my friends had not been to taggia and now are looking forward to coming back for another dinner

Definitely not a chain restaurant. I've never had an unpleasant experience Highly recommend.
They are a "10"

My wife and I had a perfectly fine dinner here on a week night. The restaurant is relatively small and has a pleasant outdoor patio, also not very large. The food was a cut above average of what you will find around Scottsdale, but not equal to the fine restaurants in town. Service was prompt and attentive. Although I wouldn't count this as one of our favorite restaurants, we will probably be back.

We went to this restaurant because it was one of the top rated. Have no idea why. The food was below average. I had the steak which was chewy and my hisband had the pizza. Both of us were really disappointed in our meals. Will not go back especially when there's so many amazing restaurants in Scottsdale to choose from

We sat outside on the patio -- which was delightful until the sun set. They don't have lights, so not only could we not see the menus, we really couldn't see our food. The waiter was overly talkative -- I'd imagine he's a nice guy, but his presentation was over the top and yet he wasn't around when we needed him. The food was actually very good -- we shared a couple of small plates and then each had our own main. The waiter bragged about the deserts -- and they weren't good at all. We can't recommend this restaurant -- the good food was overwhelmed by the poor setting and service.
