The Scarlet Bee
Great food. Interesting flavors. We had a variety of dishes, cocktails and desserts and everything was wonderful. Definitely a bit of a splurge. Prices are high for portions served but still worth it.
The food was extremely good. I can’t recall the last time I had Lebanese food but this is the place to go for it. Tapas style for sharing and great cocktails!
Have been waiting for a place like this in Asheville...excellent food, friendly staff, convenient location (relatively speaking, coming from East Asheville). Favorites are the fatoush salad, chicken schwarma, and sfoof cake. Easy to go vegetarian here, too.
Very good Mediterranean food in a relaxed atmosphere. Service is fast and friendly. Prices are reasonable.
This was our second visit. We came back for the food, which really delivers on flavors and quality ingredients. This trip was as good as the first. We took friends and the restaurant was more crowded than the first visit. I hope that’s a sign of traction because N Asheville needs Scarlett Bee as a dining option. The service on this particular night was quite spotty - missed water refills, entrees delivered at separate times, slow to bring the check, etc. It’s all forgivable unless a pattern repeats because the food is really, really satisfying.
Very pleasant place with warm service. Food was great, home made ginger soda was so delicious, not so sweet. Beef kabab was excellent. Everything was tasty.
Our first visit didn't disappoint! Fabulous food and flavors. We'll definitely be back and would recommend highly. We really enjoyed the Sat. evening music, too!
This was our second time there. Once again, we loved the sampler platter, although the herb dip was too thick to dip, and we had no utensils or napkins. It was the first anniversary and there was music, revelry and too many people for the wait staff - we understood. I ordered a drink called the tipsy gardener, as did another person. I asked that it not be too sweet. It was really sweet and there seemed to be more ice than drink in the glass, making it sweet, hard to drink and not very satisfying. The food was great though, and we enjoyed the music, although it made talking really hard. I love the care they put into their food and will be back.
We had a wonderful time spending the evening with friends, food and great music by the 42nd Street Jazz Band. The food is a wonderful take on Mediterainian Street Food.
The food, the wine, the atmosphere was all fabulous.
Everything was wonderful, as advertised. All of our food was delicious. Very flavorful and well prepared.
I really enjoyed my first visit to The Scarlet Bee (except for the uncomfortable chairs). Lovely space and ambiance, beautifully seasoned and prepared food, attentive service despite how busy it was. I even bought a gift certificate for a friend who I think will enjoy trying this cuisine. I will definitely be back.
Everything was wonderful except the service was slow at the end of the evening. However, I could tell someone had called out of work and the lady was going as fast as I’ve seen anyone go. She did her best. I think it was a fluke. Food was amazing!!
Enjoyed a light dinner and was surprised how good the food was. Mostly Mediterranean menu. Service was friendly. Prices were average though the mixed drinks were pricey. We will return.
Every dish was creative and very flavorful. Great cocktails, too. And the service was spot on.
After bring seated Waited 40 minutes to order food
Great food and friendly staff. We were in Asheville for only 4 days and went twi
Scarlet Bee was recommended to us by our neighbor. Thank you neighbor! Fantastic food! Fantastic drinks - can't wait to go on Thursday - $3 off house cocktails! This restaurant is a gem!
The food was great and the atmosphere pleasant. There was a class upstairs that caused the floor to shake and was a little annoying but the restaurant itself coudn't do anything about that. This is a landlord issue. The service is a little slow - they haven't been opened long and think they are still working out some kinks - this does need to be solved. That being said the food was good and I will go back.
The food was outstanding as was the service and ambiance! We will definitely be back!
A terrific addition to AVL’s ethnic restaurant scene. Terrific cocktails and tasty, unusual spice combinations. Scrumptious pita. Good value; N. AVL - no downtown parking/crowds.
Great selection of creative drinks. The food was excellent. We ate at the bar and both bartenders were very accommodating and knowledgeable.
Every dish was delicious. The bakalava was outstanding. The service was personable and a nice touch to meet the owner/chef.
Excellent food and value! Staff was attentive and prompt. Highly recommend.
Lovely small Middle Eastern/ Lebanese cozy restaurant owned by the nice and talented chef. Wonderful homemade pitas, great parsley sauce, flaky meat pies and healthy nicely spiced other entrees.
Yes, go there although hard to see its tiny sign near Veda and Penny Cup on Merrimon, one block from Beaverdam Rd
Eating here was an overall great experience. My two complaints were the disgruntled waitress who gave me trouble about wanting to sit at a specific table, and then some crusty red paste (definitely like days old) on the table which was a problem for her to wipe off. After requesting a different waitress, we had a great time. The food was delicious and the drinks are amazing. Just make sure you check your table before sitting down because it might not be clean.
Everything was fabulous, from the cocktails to the last bite. I love the shoe string fries with the garlic dip, the sliders, and the chicken schrama.(sp) Our pomegranate pear salad was so refreshing. If I had to complain about anything it would be the chairs. They are just not comfortable for a person bigger than a size 12. But everything else is great.
We enjoyed our first visit to The Scarlet Bee. The restaurant was very comfortable, our server was knowledgeable and so helpful in food choices. We enjoyed the beef kabobs and the French fries were fantastic as was the baklava! Overall nice experience.
This is a great addition to the North Asheville neighborhood. Friendly, efficient service, great small plates to share and really inventive cocktails.
We were really disappointed in our experience. It was very loud and the service was not particularly attentive. The food was good but nothing special. I doubt if we'll return.
Amazing food and cocktails. Live music. Service was a little slow. The waitress was running solo in a full house, but not her fault.
We shared the Cauliflower Shawarma, Kofta Sliders and Mediterranean Fries with Toum. All were great and would order again. Nice casual atmosphere. Very friendly and prompt service.
My vegan meetup group really enjoyed our meal at The Scarlet Bee. We had lots of options, and the staff was very knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients. Everything was very tasty! We also appreciated having a room to ourselves for our group. Parking was easy and the food was delicious. We will be back for sure!
Great food and great staff.
Okay, now when you have up to 45 minute differences for entrees coming out, 20 minute differences on drink orders being filled, and a dinner time that stretched out to 2 hours for 1 round of small plate entrees, it's not a well run restaurant. Dining here was a humorous disaster. Nonetheless, I had a good time with family and the food is good, although a bit pricey for the portions, and the drinks are strong (which probably helped considering how bad the timing of service was).
only one chef on a friday night- not good. but I would definitely go back and try again. Love the menu and the Vesper!
Fantastic! We shared 4 small plates, and each one was delicious. Will definitely go there again.
This was a pleasant surprise. Good food, albeit a limited menu. Service was good. We'll definitely return.
The Bun Intended Brunch was really excellent. Definitely worth going there to have a cocktail and a yummy brunch.
Everything we ate and drank was full of flavor. Service very personable.
