My daughter ordered a GF pizza. After waiting quite a while for all our food the waitress informed us that the GF pizza had mistakenly been taken to another table so the kitchen was making another one. My husband and I received our food and ate, then the waitress came back to say that the new pizza was not GF so they were making a third. We appreciated the honesty and the pizza was removed from the bill and they gave her a complimentary dessert. However, it did mean my daughter ate alone well after we had finished our meal and we were the last guests to leave the restaurant with the staff clearing up around us.

Last couple times since Cory left, the food has been horrible. The aioli with the flank steak was vile, had to blot it off my over cooked and tough as nails steak. My wife’s burger came out med/rare versus med/well and had uncooked soggy bacon.

The ambiance at The Sawyer is fantastic. It is a lovely space with huge windows, generously spaced tables and a friendly and relaxed vibe which compares favorably to almost any other dining spot in the area. The food was good, the service was perfectly attentive and the overall experience perfect for a weekend night out. The only weakness was the cocktails. Will order wine next time … and there will be a next time.

Food was delicious! Lots of gluten free and dairy free options as well! Crispy Brussels, Ahi appetizer and wings were winners. Lamb lollipops, portobello sandwich and miso cod also were amazing. They even had a gluten free dessert option! After our delicious meal, we couldn’t find an Uber to drive us home due to the inclement weather. The Manager found us a ride back to our hotel. The wait staff was also super friendly and accommodating. We will be back at The Sawyer ASAP!!

Always a good consistent meal. Service is always top notch too. The fireplace in winter doesn’t hurt either. The only negative is their corkage fee is $35! Has to be the highest in Tahoe. Ouch.

The staff was wonderful. Our waitress took great care of us and made great recommendations! One of the managers saw where we were initially being sat and moved us to a spot that had a beautiful view next to the windows, which our kids loved. I felt it was family friendly but still very upscale and classy. We will definitely come back!
