Everything was amazing. Great service and wonderful food.
Service was superb! Love being at the Savoy again!
Gabrielle, We are so glad you came back! Our service team will be over the moon to know you found them to be superb. Please don't hesitate to reach out for any special requests before your next reservation. We love personalizing your experience! BIG THANKS! Damon Bailey - Manager
Everything was enjoyable; friendly staff, tasty unique food, nice art gallery. What was really nice was that we could actually hear each other and have a nice conversation. We were in a booth so I don’t know how loud it is at a table.
Jim, BIG thanks for the 5 star review! Our team will be overjoyed to know that you thought them friendly and your overall experience enjoyable. The six historic booths are part of the restaurants original furnishings and provide great cover for intimate conversations, romantic celebrations, or top secret business deals ;) Please let us know before your next visit and we will be sure to reserve one in your name. Until then... Best Wishes, Damon Bailey - Manager
The food was amazing. Every dish from appetizer to side to cocktails was a study in balance among contrasting elements: salty/sweet/bitter, soft/firm/crunchy, etc. I recommend that you get an interesting cocktail - we got a martinez in a classic style and as a modern interpretation. The staff was attentive and helpful. The ambiance is more like a pub than a fine dining establishment, but the food is not your typical pub food (though you can get a burger). Prices aren't cheap, but within the window I would expect for food of this quality.
Since we stayed at the hotel, we also had breakfast at the Savoy, and it also did not disappoint.
Phil, Thank you so much for your visit and your review! We are pleased beyond measure to know that you found the food and service to be of high quality. Our team spends serious time getting playful with ingredient, technique and presentation and its a great feeling to know when they are appreciated and acknowledged. Should you find yourself in our neck of the woods in the future, don't hesitate to call ahead with any needs or wants. Cheers to you, friend! Best, Damon Bailey - Manager
Had a prefix menu before going to see Hamilton. All of the food was very good, service excellent and a cool atmosphere. They timed our meal perfectly and we made it to the show on time. Overall, great experience!
Austin, Thank you for choosing us! Our management team really put their heads together to create the pre-theater menu as a quick, hassle-free way for guests to get a great dining experience and be still be show-bound by 6:30. You are one of many to voice your appreciation and because of that we plan on continuing this menu for other similar shows and events. So keep us in mind as your event calendar rolls through the rest of the summer and the holidays. Regards, Damon Bailey - Manager
The service, food, and cocktails were impeccable. I really enjoyed the amuse bouche, great flavors there. Tia in the bakery made a special chocolate birthday card and drew a kitty on the dessert plate for the birthday gal. The hotel staff offered our trio a tour of the penthouse and that was a great experience. Thanks for making my friend’s birthday so wonderful.
We took advantage of the Hamilton pretheater dinner menu. 3 courses and complimentary valet for $42. Hard to beat. The service was a bit slow to start off, but picked up. The manager checked in on us throughout the meal. We sat in a booth which was more private and nice for a date night. Had we been at a table, the ambience may have been lacking. The food was definitely the star of the show! A surprise amuse Bouche, then A gazpacho crudo to start had us wanting more. Perfect for summer. Main course included halibut with vegetables in a nice broth and prime rib. Just the right amount and delicious. We finished by splitting the chocolate dessert. Overall, I would definitely go back. Servers need some fine tuning for a restaurant of this level
Great venue and vibe. Menu is quite limited, and items do sell out, unfortunately. Drinks were meh, and one would have thought that this area would have been crushed, but no.
We were really looking forward to our Brunch outing for our group of 7. Very disappointed!
Bloody Mary’s were so so... would not order them again.
They were out of 3 of our choices. Service was slow- tho they were not busy at all.
We loved our dinner experience- but Brunch is sadly on our Never Repeat list.
We waited over 20 minutes for a server to acknowledge us or take drink orders. Thankfully we were not in a rush and that was the only hiccup in our evening.
Food and service was great, but moved restaurant into bar of hotel and ambiance was lackluster.
Anonymous, Thanks for your visit! We consider all guest feedback as we continue to evolve. We have always offered dinner service in the historic 'Savoy Grille' room as well as in the adjacent brighter contemporary space. Due to guest demand we've added seating in the historic room and converted the adjacent space into a gallery. Stay tuned this summer as we undergo a few more exciting changes that should make for an even better dining experience. Thanks again, Damon Bailey - Manager
Our son lives in Kansas City, and we were in town for Father's Day weekend. We always stay at 21c and usually like to have dinner at The Savoy while we're there. Note that the hotel has moved The Savoy from its previous space near the lobby to the Bar (which was originally the Savoy Grill). I like the restaurant in the Bar much better, and am happy to see that the hotel has returned that space "to its roots." The space in which The Savoy was previously located is being redesigned as an event space.
Always great food and great service, and this visit was no exception. Excellent cocktails. My husband and son ordered the Slow Roasted Prime Rib (their favorite), and I ordered the Great Lakes Walleye Fish. Everyone's entrees were superb, the service was fantastic, and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Highly recommended!
Walleye and Halibut was delicious
highenddiner, Thanks for the 5 star review and for coming in for dinner! Our Great Lakes Walleye is quickly becoming a favorite around here. Our chef team will love to know that you enjoyed it! My personal favorite part is the fried oyster topper. We are almost always bringing in fresh seafood and seasonal ingredients. Feel free to reach out at any time if you have questions about our menu or a reservation. Best Wishes, Damon Bailey - Manager
We actually ate at The Savoy for brunch and dinner in one day! We had a lovely experience and everything was very good. My only comment is that you need to consider keeping some gluten-free bread/bun options on hand. I'm not celiac but I become very unwell when I eat wheat. That is becoming so common now that having some options for us is much appreciated!
LauraW, Thank you so much for your double patronage! I'm sending this review to our team because I know they will be happy to hear you loved everything. Great feedback on Gluten-Free bread options. Look forward to better availability in the near future. Please keep us in mind for future outings whether its breakfast, dinner or a late-night snack. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact our management team. Best, Damon Bailey - Manager
it was a thrill to see the historic Savoy back in action and again serving some of the best food in Kansas City. They even had my favorite - the walleye - back on the menu. I first went to the Savoy when I first moved to KC in '79, and truthfully, I thought it was forever dead once 21C hotels took it over. I figured they would make it all modern and hip. Instead, they kept it historic . . . and hip. Many people new to the old Savoy ambiance likely will find it dark and loud. The tile floors acoustically make it seem so. But it is great. Resurrected in wonderful form.
Robert, We're thrilled that you enjoyed the experience and are able to appreciate the history of the space while taking in the contemporary updates. It's truly an honor for us to be able to bring those two worlds together. Happy to hear you enjoyed the walleye - our seafood selections, and the menu as a whole, will continue to change regularly to reflect the Chefs' inspiration and the freshest items available. We'll look forward to seeing you back again soon. Best, Scott Tipton F&B Director
Had a really great birthday breakfast in the fantastic ambience of The Savoy. Enjoyed the tour of the artwork in their collection as much as the meal and excellent service.
Shari! We are honored that you chose The Savoy for your special day! I'm thrilled that you enjoyed the museum and our team will love knowing you found the service to be "excellent". When you are ready to try our dinner menu, please don't hesitate to reach out with any special requests or concerns. We love to personalize your experience as much as possible. BIG Thanks! Damon Bailey - Manager 816.443.4284
Delicious food and charming atmosphere. We had the cheeseburger and the prime rib and we are looking forward to the next time we can eat here!
Clara, Thank you for these incredible complimentary words! The Burger Royale and Slow Roasted Prime Rib are the most ordered dishes on our menu and are almost unanimously loved. Our chef team will be happy to know that we are achieving consistency. Coincidentally, we are also looking forward to your next visit! ;) Please feel free to contact us with any future requests. Best, Damon Bailey - Manager 816.443.4284
We had a wonderful time at the Savoy but we disappointed that they have moved the dining space to the very dark room, we were looking forward to dining in the bright and modern room. We dined in there before we had a lovely experience. The seats in the booths in the darker room are far apart so it hard to share dishes. But overall it was very nice.
OT Diner, We consider all guest feedback. Interestingly enough, guest feedback was the impetus for us to shift all food service back into the historic Savoy Grille room. As someone who enjoyed the atmosphere of the brighter contemporary side, you have my sympathies and you should know we will still be using it for events. I am pleased to know that you had a wonderful experience and sincerely hope there are many more in your/our future. Endless thanks, Damon Bailey - Manager 816.443.4284
The server, bartender, and other helpers were SO nice! The brunch was absolutely delicious. They even surprised us with a complimentary glass of champagne for our anniversary. We will definitely be repeat customers.
Retirees, Thank you so much for your review and for having your anniversary brunch at The Savoy! I'm thoroughly pleased to know that you found the staff helpful and friendly. Please keep us in mind the next time you are looking for a meal. We are open at 7 AM - 7 days a week and our kitchen stays open until midnight everyday. Congrats again and hope to see you in soon! Sincerely, Damon Bailey - Manager
Service was fine and the food was good but we expected Seafood as this is what the Savoy was known for. Very expensive for what you get.
Dennis, Thanks for your feedback! Currently we offer Great Lakes Walleye, Halibut Cheeks, Hamachi and Crab on our menu. We are always looking to bring in more when the price and quality are right. We recently featured beautiful fresh Maine lobster served traditionally and at a great price. Please don't hesitate to reach out in advance the next time you are looking for a reservation. Our team is happy to accommodate your requests. BIG Thanks! Damon Bailey - Manager 816.443.4284
Excellent food and very eclectic place. We felt like we were in a Stanley Kubrick movie. Prime Rib, escargot toretellinni, beef burgundy, lamb chops and french onion soup were all amazing. Cocktails and wine selection on point also. The Old Fashioned was outstanding.
Cool vibe. Great staff. Food is good.
Jennifer, Thank you so much for saying so! Our service team is trained to be accommodating and non-intrusive, they will love knowing that you think they're great. Please keep us in mind for future outings whether they be for breakfast, lunch, dinner, late night, or customized events. When you are ready to return, please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or special needs. We love any excuse to dazzle with personalized service! Best Wishes, Damon Bailey - Manager 816.443.4284
The food is really excellent, and our server was delightful and knowledgeable. That said, please don’t go with the thought that it’s anything like the special place it once was.
TL1111, Thanks for this great review and for stopping in to see us! Regularly, I hear guests say how amazing it is to be able to come in and experience this space again. Our team will love knowing that you found them to be hospitable and informative. Please come see us again soon! BIG Thanks! Damon Bailey - Manager 816.443.4284
I have many childhood memories of the original Savoy restaurant, so it was wonderful to see that so much of the original ambiance has been retained and restored. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The fresh morel mushrooms were an unexpected treat and the presentation was outstanding. We had a lovely evening, we will be back.
OT Diner, Thank you so very much for choosing to dine with us over the many options in our area! Our team will love knowing that your experience at least held a candle to all those precious memories. If you loved the morels you'll be glad to know that we'll be taking every opportunity to bring in fresh seasonal produce all Spring/Summer long. Please do come back and let us know if there's anything we can do to take your experience over the top. Best, Damon Bailey - Manager
This such an awesome concept...and the historical features are amazing...original murals, tile, and more!
Tobee, Glad you think so! Thanks for coming in to check it out. If you are ever in need of the perfect spot for breakfast, lunch, brunch, dinner, pre-event snack, or late night drinks, please come see us and don't be afraid to reach out in advance if there's anything we can do to make it extra special. Cheers! Damon Bailey - Manager 816.443.4284
Excellent place for Mother’s Day brunch. Great selection of food and a unique dinning experience. I love the whimsy of the blue penguins!
Foodie45, We are thrilled to know you enjoyed Mother's Day Brunch at The Savoy! Thank you for taking the time to leave a few words. A lot of hard work and up-to-the-minute change goes into these events and a little praise goes a long way. The next time you are in need of some whimsical delight, please contact me or another member of our team. Best wishes, Damon Bailey - Manager 816.443.4284
We dined here with a group for Mother's Day brunch. The entire menu was interesting and it was hard to choose. Service was prompt and attentive and they were very accommodating to allergies. The space was very cool - a mix of old and new. Lots of art around the space kept it interesting. Would definitely come back.
OT Diner, Thank you so much for your patronage this Mother's Day! I'm glad you had so many enticing options that choosing one was difficult. Good problem to have. Our service team trains to communicate critical information like allergies to everyone on staff. We take no chances with guest safety. Please do come back and spend some more time enjoying the art and food. Please feel free to contact us with any other requests or concerns. Best, Damon Bailey - Manager 816.443.4284
Loved being at the space, need to come back to spend more time enjoying the art. Te foodand service was great.
Harriett, ...and we loved having you! Our team loves to hear that they are providing great service and food. Tip:We do guided docent tours on Wednesdays and Fridays at 5pm so please do come back, grab a beverage from our bar team and have another stroll through the museum at your leisure! Best regards, Damon Bailey - Manager 816.443.4284
We spent mother’s day at the Savoy and their 3 course meal was delicious! The Savoy has a great atmosphere and the service was awesome. We loved the sky blue penguins too!
Claire, Thank you for these kind words. I'm so happy you enjoyed our prix fixe Mother's Day menu. Holidays are usually the perfect time to try a special menu. I can't wait to let the servers know that you thought they were awesome. Please don't hesitate to contact our team with any special requests or concerns before you make your next reservation. We love to personalize the dining experience! Sincerely, Damon Bailey - Manager 816.443.4284
Food wasn't that great, but the service was excellent.
Tiphani, Thank you for dining with us! Its a point of pride that our service is considered to be excellent and our staff will love to know you thought so. I would love to hear more about your experience. Please contact me directly if you can find the time. BIG Thanks! Damon Bailey - Manager 816.443.4284
Mother’s Day brunch menu and everyone enjoyed the experience! I had some food envy because I didn’t order to breakfast fried rice!
Also, beautiful surroundings and we enjoyed looking at art throughout the museum.
Moab, Food envy! That's great! Thanks so much for your Mother's Day visit. Our team will be thrilled to know that your group enjoyed their experience. Our #1 goal is to provide for your enjoyment. As soon as you are ready to come back please let me know and we'll do it again. Until then make use of our museum anytime...literally anytime (its 24/7). Best regards, Damon Bailey - Manager 816.443.4284
Our waiter complained about partying the night before and not having enough coffee yet......very poor service but great food. Maybe just a one off. Wish he would have been more hospitable on Mother’s Day.
Anonymous, Thank you for your visit on this very special day and for your honesty. I'm glad you found the food great but understand that service on this occasion left something to be desired. There is no excuse for giving you less than our best, especially on Mother's Day. I'm sorry to have missed the mark and am glad to know about it, even publicly, so that necessary retraining can be conducted. Please feel free to reach out with any additional concerns. Best, Damon Bailey - Manager
The food was excellent, the ambiance nice and decor charming. However, the acoustics were not particularly good and the service was at best so-so and most of the time poor. It was Mother's Day and the restaurant was full but the staff seemed unprepared. In the 75 minutes we were there, we heard 5 plates or other items dropped and broken. It took prompting by us to get our order taken, the food was slow to be served and when it was the order was incomplete and we had to ask twice to have the remaining item brought to us. While everyone was polite, for the cost of a relatively simple breakfast for two (over $60 with tip), the food wasn't so good that it would be worth doing again.
ChuckG, Thank you for your honesty! Our team will be thrilled to know that you found the menu to be excellent. We train our staff to be attentive but not intrusive. It sounds like we missed the mark with you and for that I'm truly sorry. Your feedback has allowed us to retrain our service team so that this can't happen again. If you feel like giving us another try perhaps during our regular dinner service please reach out to me directly. Sincerely, Damon Bailey - Manager 816.443.4284
Beautifully prepared dishes using local sourced ingredients.
Don’t skip the seasonal salad it is one of the best we’ve had.
Servers were well informed and enthusiastic about the menu.
Richard, The Evolving Farmers Salad is one of our newest additions to the menu and its getting feedback like this everyday. Thanks for noticing and for your glowing review! Our chef team is dedicated to dazzling you with their menu and our service team trains and re-trains to stay on top. They will both love hearing your recognition. Anytime you have special requests or concerns, we are up to the challenge. Don't be a stranger. Best, Damon Bailey - Manager 816.443.4284
Service and cocktails were fabulous. Food was not. WAY too expensive for the quality. We were very disappointed and will not be back.
Andrea, Thanks for dining with us! Our bar team will enjoy hearing that you thought their creations were fabulous. They really put extra thought into each individual component and this will be great to share with them. Whether you change your mind or not, I'd love to hear more about what defined your experience. Please reach out to me if you find time. This type of information only helps us to grow and be better. Cheers, Damon Bailey - Manager 816.443.4284
It was noisy and that’s the only complaint. Everything else made for a special evening. Just not a cozy place to be.
Jan, Thanks so much for coming in! Our team will be glad to know that you had a special evening with us despite being busier than anticipated. Please keep us in mind for future outings, and feel free to call in advance with any requests or concerns. Best Wishes, Damon Bailey - Manager 816.443.4284
Very cool bar and restaurant atmosphere. Service was great- delicious drinks and inventive menu!

The next time your ready to try something delicious and creative, please feel free to reach out to me or anyone on our team to setup a reservation or discuss group accommodations. Thanks so much for your visit! Sincerely Damon Bailey - Manager 816.443.4284
Because we like so much The HIve at 21c in Bentonville and we had a bad experience in the old Savoy Club in KC, we decided to give a try to the Savoy at 21c. We arrived at 8.30 pm to find the main dining room overwhelmed by the noise made by three big tables. Why did the manager not put these people in the adjacent dining room which was empty? The atomosphere of the dining room is somber and has essentially not changed from the past dining room. The menu is very limited. We ordered the lamb, which was actually a few small pieces of lamb neck served over vegetables and topped with a crepe. It was not worth the $29 we paid. The wine list starts above $40. The staff made an effort to seat us in a booth where the noise was barely less than in the rest of the dining room and the service was friendly. The Savoy at 21c is overpriced.
GJLFG, Thank you for your visit and your honesty! We consider all guest feedback and use it to evolve to better meet your needs. I hope you'll come back on a night that's perhaps not so busy and try our bar menu. I believe you'll find these delicious offerings more suited to your needs. Until then, if you have any additional requests or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to me directly. Cheers, Damon Bailey - Manager 816.443.4284
My guests all said they would return to this restaurant.
Mary, Thanks so much for bringing your guests and for leaving this 5 star review! We can't wait for your next visit! If you have any special requests or concerns prior to making your reservation, please don't hesitate to ask. BIG Thanks! Damon Bailey - Manager
