I am 65 and have been going to the Savoy for years. My parents use to eat at the Savoy once a year while Christmas shopping when we were kids. It's changed but is still amazing. I desperately miss the Ceasar Salad prepared table side. It was delicious.

Bar stools are uncomfortable.

Savoy continues to amaze me with their attention to detail and willingness to give their patrons with dietary restrictions an inclusive and enjoyable experience. I have a dairy allergy and find it very difficult to have an inclusive enjoyable food experience while eating out. Every time I go to Savoy, I can always expect amazing food w/o feeling like I am overburdening the staff. It has become one of my favorite places to frequent.

It was fun to be back in the old Savoy Grill room. Great atmosphere with old furnishings. Food was excellent and innovative. Interesting combinations of ingredients and taste. Wine list was extensive but pricey. Would definitely recommend it for a good night out.

I had a lamb dish that was delicious! My husband had chicken fried beef cheeks that he thoroughly enjoyed. Service was good but slow so need to factor this in when dining here. Awesome cocktails.

We were very disappointed with our experience at the Savoy. It was sad, considering the place this restaurant has in KC history. Here's why.
First, we sat at the bar for over 10 minutes as we waited for our table, completely ignored by the bartender. Yes, it was busy, but we never even got eye contact, let alone "I'll be with you as soon as I can."
After being seated, our server was terribly unprofessional. You likely won't believe this...I hardly could; but she had such terrible body odor it was difficult to focus on the meal. It was terrible. I am apalled that any chef would allow such unhygienic behavior near their restaurant. Additionally, when my wife asked a question about one ofthe sauces on an entree, the server didn't know anything about it, proceeded to read the description off the menu, and didn't know anything else about the menu. Should any of this be acceptable at a fine dining experience? Terribly disappointing evening. I'm sad the Savoy no longer upholds its legacy as one of the most enjoyable experiences in our city. Overall, the staff exuded nothing more than a strong air of indifference to their customers. The impression was that it was more important to focus on the supposedly "artistic" image of their own personal styles and grooming than any type of positive customer experience.

Arrived early and that was wise since finding parking was a challenge. Seated exactly on our reservation time. Some of the tables for two are very close together and make private conversation tricky. Make a note to reserve a booth in the comment section. Drinks and food were excellent but priced at the higher end of the spectrum. Service at the door, bar, and table side were excellent. We’ve been here now for brunch, lunch, and dinner. Cuisine and service outstanding. Parking and pricing just a tad noticeable.

I would love to go back when it's not Valentine's Day. Our meal ended up being much more expensive because we were forced to order from the Valentine's menu. The food and service were outstanding though.

Just horrible. Went for Valentines Day but the Vday menu wasn’t served until dinner. My wife’s lobster “bowl” had a raw egg on it. I had spaghetti which I ate first while her meal was sent back to cook an egg properly. I asked for bread which apparently is unheard of. Bread came after I was done eating but before the 2nd attempt at given to my wife her food. Both meals were certainly not worth $82.
So basically we ate without each other WHILE we watched the help take down tables and bring in more tables
This is our second visit since reopening and it will be our last. SO NOT worth the money

The whole experience was very good and we enjoyed the evening. The prime rib was excellent. We also had the gnocchi which was also very good. The only down side were the adult beverages. The cost of the drinks was too high for the amount of alcohol received.

Excellent meal and service. Good variety on the menu with some unique dishes. Service was attentive and enjoyed sitting in the Harry Truman booth. Is on the more expensive side, but highly recommend for a special occasion.

Almost all of the food we ordered were too salty, the service however was great. Our waiter, Nick was accommodating and attentive.

This restaurant is very dark ...like dungeons dark. We had a reservation and were seated right away but should have asked to be moved as they seated us right by the front door which was quite chilly every time the door opened. It was very cold and windy outside. Our table was also right beside (touching) the hostess stand. The food was fair but not worth what was charged. Our server was good. We eat out frequently but wouldn’t recommend the savoy.

I anticipated a very enjoyable experience at this, my first time, to the newly renovated Savoy Hotel and I have to say it was the worst dining experience I have had in a very long time. The service was extremely poor including such a long wait time for our food that we had to ask for it to be boxed to take away and didn't get to eat it at the restaurant. Something will need to change in order for me to recommend or return to this place. Very disappointing!

It took 40 minutes to get our food, and the restaurant was not busy when we were seated for lunch. The portion size was a bit ridiculous, there were literally four bites of pasta in my bowl. I realize it was the lunch menu, and I am not a huge eater, but it was a bit ridiculous. My partner has the Steak Frites...which should have been called 4 pieces of steak with 10 fries. The food and service were lack luster at best. On a positive note, the ambience is great, as is the art that hangs in the lobby of the hotel, that was definitely the highlight of this experience.

The service was slow. Maybe they were under-staffed, but, our serve Jason was ok. Just slow and he had to also make drinks and pour wines. The "butcher cut" steak was supposed to be around 5 ounces (Jason explained) and it was 4 cuts of tough steak. I took 1/2 home to feed to my pets.
Hadn't been there for 20 years and I look forward to going in the evening where I won't be late going back to work and possibly trouble. Not at all like the service was years ago. It was surprisingly disappointing. The two other people who dined with me said they would never go back again. She was upset that 2 glasses of wine was $32 for Pinot Noir.

Food was great. We went for restaurant week and had the roast pork and chicken. Both meals were very good. It was a little noisy - there was a large group behind us.

This was my second trip to The Savoy. Everything was great again. Chef Joe and Chef Tia have made a wonderful menu for restaurant week, and I loved the cotton candy at the end of the meal.

I'm a retired chef and when my wife and I go out I tend to be fairly critical of the food and service. Rarely do I find something that I think is perfect all the way around. We went to The Savoy and had their Prix Fixe menu for Restaurant Week and have to say that everything, food, service, and attention to detail was absolutely perfect. Cudo's to a professional staff in the front and back of the house!

The wait staff was attentive, the ambiance was perfect for a date, and the food...my lord, the food...it was incredible. They were even able to accommodate one person in the party with a dairy allergy. We will be returning because it was genuinely one of the best restaurant experiences we've had in KC.

Have been here for dinner twice and loved it. Went for restaurant week with a group for lunch and although good tasting, portions were pretty small. The pesto pasta was delicious but the rice in the curry chicken was undercooked.

Great cocktail, wine list and menu. I had the lamb. It was the best lamb dish I’ve ever eaten! My wife had the prime rib and she loved it. Awesome scallop, foie, burnt miso amuse bouche. Our server was very attentive and helpful with menu selections. Management was present, but did try to clear my wife’s app plate and then entree plate before she was finished, which is a big pet peeve of hers. We will definitely return!
