The food was excellent! We will definitely return and recommend.
Our waiter was terrible. Failed to place our order for appetizers and after an hour, we had to remind him about the order. Drinks also took at least 15 mins to come out. The kicker? The restaurant wasn’t over crowded which would normally explain all this. Love the place. Hated the service.
Worst. Service. Ever. We were seated and didn’t see a waiter for 10 minutes. After that, another 15 minutes at least to get our drinks. Waiter arrived at the table and just stared at us like we were to ask him what he wanted. Food was decent but not great. Will not return.
The hostess was most helpful and lovely. Cocktails were great. We both had salmon I ordered brussels sprouts and my friend Elaina ordered marrow tots. Brussels sprouts were good Mario tots were excellent. They seated us downstairs in a corner. Right behind me was a work party gathering and several of the women were incredibly loud. It did not phase me. My gate was not necessarily pleased. The sound bounced stop the hard surfaces and sort of amplified where we were. I reassured her that it was the holidays and most likely in that group things would be said tonight that would be regret it tomorrow. The salmon was amazing. The hostess checked in with us several times, as did our waiter. The space and environment are truly beautiful.
Cool place, great people, and most importantly, super delicious food! We spent a relaxed two hours here before a show, and we’re very happy with our choice. We’d definitely go back, next time we’re in the area.
Nice place to stop for a bite or a drink
Very comfortable, neighborhood hang out. Limited menu, but everything was incredibly tasty. Chicken liver pate was amazing! Shared a burger, za'atar spiced fries and pan fried brussel sprouts that were the best I've had as they are served with creme fraiche, for a creamy finish. We're definitely coming back.
I went for an early birthday dinner. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be visiting again.
The Saratoga was a wonderful place for dinner. The food was excellent, the ambiance was intimate and sophisticated, and overall the service was amazing. We were very well received and many people made sure we had an excellent experience. 10/10 would return.
not a restaurant, just a pretty bar with ok bar food. French fry was good, cocktails not really.
we were sat VERY closely to the neighboring tables and it was so dark, everyone had to use their phone to illuminate their menus. Both of those things bothered me. But the food was good, service good, but I enjoyed it better last time when we were sat upstairs- downstairs was too dark and crowded
Great for groups wanting to try a bunch of small plates. The Tots were amazing.
Great service! Waiter was extremely helpful. Food was amazing as were the drinks.
Everything was generally fine with two major exceptions. First, there was a 40 minute lull between finishing our starters and our mains arriving. When I raised this with the server, she gave me some BS line that she was "coursing our meal" and the wait was appropriate. I dine out A LOT and am very understanding of complications, just apologize and own up to it rather than dismiss our frustration. Second, my friend and I each ordered the NY strip, medium rare. His came out perfect, mine was uneatable. Not only was it a fatty, low quality cut of meat, you needed a chainsaw to cut through it. We can only assume that mine came out earlier than his and mine sat under a heat lamp or something while his finished up.
We celebrated a birthday dinner and had a wonderful time. The tater tots with cheese & chorizo were so amazing! We also enjoyed the pretzels with cheese dip and the parker house rolls. The hamburger was awesome. The best was the apple hand pie with cream cheese frosting on the side. It was so good with the gelato! The service was amazing! The bar is so beautiful as was the apples to apples cocktail. We will definitely go back again!
Had a fabulous time at dinner before Hamilton. Ashley was great and recommended some wonderful drinks and food. Would go back. Love the attention to detail.
We usually have dinner at Saratoga and finally got to try it for brunch. I ordered fried chicken Cesar salad and my husband a burger, both tasted well cooked and delicious. The coffee cake for dessert reminded me of bread pudding, which is one of my favorite desserts. Service was attentive and well timed. Highly recommend Saratoga for brunch and dinner.
I generally do not write lackluster reviews, but The Saratoga did not live up to the expectation. The cocktails were very good, the bar itself is very beautiful. That was the highlight.
The chef's special appetizer (something like a hamachi carpaccio) was the best item of the night. We ordered the Dry-Aged Flannery's New York Steak-it was barely typical; Roasted Baby Squash was zucchini/nothing special - very disappointing.
Menu prices definitely is not reflective of their food, flair and experience. This is a future skip for our group.
Great place, Gourmet bar food, pricey but good. Excellent cocktails and lovely staff. Highly recommend.
The food was fabulous, all of it!!! The service was perfect and I haven’t felt so welcomed in a restaurant in a long while we can’t wait to go back!!
Small plates very well performed. The wine list quite good and affordable and service really outstanding
Nice place cocktails and food. Nice decoration bar with great atmosphere
One of my favorite spots in SF! Great ambiance, amazing cocktails, and friendly staff.
Terrible service. The food was mediocre and not tasty.
Go for the drinks and the bar, and for appetizers, but not necessarily for a full on dinner.
The cocktails were amazing. The server was incredibly knowledgeable and all of the food was outstanding!
The food was really incredible! We got the rolls, salmon, brisket and burger and everyone loved their meals. All of these items I’d recommend! Also our cocktails were delicious.
The only downside was the service. It took the waitress a really long time to bring drinks, take our order and then eventually bring the bill. Also when we asked clarifying questions she was a bit rude and condescending.
The food was not impressive and the drinks were overpriced and just tasted like straight liquor. Overall disappointed
Great cocktails, service and food. Always love my visits here.
Fantastic! Food was absolutely excellent and the cocktails inventive. We loved it!
Noise too loud. Service was good like cocktails.
The best Bloody Mary I’ve ever had: The Root.
Food was good, but the drinks were amazing! Good vibe and great music. Our waiter, however, could not have been more dull and awkward....no personality at all!
It took about 3 hours for our party of 6 to finish our meal because the food came out so slowly!
The pretzel starter with cheese sauce was amazing. As were the drinks. My burger was tasty. The Ho Ho dessert was delicious, not at all what we expected, but a pleasant surprise, as was the scotch pudding.
We felt very well taken care of a The Saratoga!
The scallop crudo with strawberries was delicious. The crispy hen of the woods was too crispy in places. Gorgeous, inventive cocktails. And so many of them! The chicken roulade was perfectly cooked. But I wish it came with more grits. Thicker grits, that didn’t run through the tines of your fork. My husband’s burger was high-quality, but bland. It needed ketchup or a remoulade. The scotch pudding tasted fantastic but had a very grainy texture. I’d try this place again.
Great! Amazing spirit selection
Venue with a good vibe but our cocktails lacked punch as did our food.
