Service, food & extras were amazing and very appreciated. Lack of others around us was odd ~ but appreciated not having to yell. COVID times

Food and service were very good as usual. However atmosphere is lacking due to pandemic. Also 90 min limit is not conducive to a relaxing meal.

First time back to the Sandbar since before COVID-19 close. It was quiet and nice group of people in there. Staff great! proper PPE and servicing. One person delivering food etc. Bread service discontinued I guess due to shared item on the table but then I had to pay $5 for Foccacia Bread. I wanted bread for my hot pot and to dip in the sauce. And the table wanted to dip in the broth in the mussels too. So perhaps an offering of bread for dishes people normally dip bread in? It is just worth mentioning. Not complaining. Staff did amazing, food still just as delicious. :)

I love going to the Sandbar when visiting Granville Island. The views from the patio are amazing and the food even better.

When I have family visiting I always take them to the Sandbar and they enjoy it, just as much as me.

It was nice . We didn’t get the pizza we ordered but we didn’t really need it in the end . We will be back :)

Found the service to be extremely slow. Had to wait over 40mins for our starters to come out.
Seemed like they do not have enough kitchen staff to keep up with the 50% capacity or less the restaurant had.

Our waitress was a dream! So polite and personable. The food was tasty l, fresh and well presented. The entire atmosphere was full of light and nuance. Definitely want to go back!

We were well taken care of due to unprecedented time. The evening was wonderful and the food was delicious. The staff had looked after me due to my dietary restrictions.

Tommy was amazing, accommodating and so welcoming. The team are doing an amazing job at keeping guests feeling safe and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Made a reservation on May 27 for June 13 th anniversary on Patio . When we got there , there seemed to be some confusion , they put us downstairs overlooking the cement trucks .
Showed them my reservation and manager said first come first served
There was no room to move us . Felt like a Seinfeld episode they knew how to take the reservation they just didn’t know how to keep it

The food is delicious!

Service was excellent. Our server was friendly, attentive and obviously trying very hard to make it an enjoyable dining experience during these challenging times. Unfortunately with social distancing requirements the ambiance was lacking - like being in a gymnasium - some attention to decor may help with this but it seems they were doing what they could. The most disappointing was the food - my husbands fish was raw and cold inside and the kitchen “fixed” this by reheating the fish while the rest of his plate dried out under the warmer. What was reserved was unappealing and not worth the $40+ price. Sad to say that we will likely not be keen to dine out anytime soon.

What happened to the good chairs that used to be on the patio? These ones were complained about by all 3 of us. We realize covid has made changes, but to the chairs?? Everything else was just fine - missed the "Fresh Sheet" for fresh fish, and also missed sushi, but understand why the menu is smaller now. Thanks again for all you do.

First dine out dinner in 4 months, with the wait.
A really good experience.

Christian was able to open up the patio and seat us outside. They wanted to ensure we had the greatest dining experience possible. Girlfriend loved it.

Food was amazing, service amazing. No complaints. It always feels special going to the Sandbar.

Really great service. It had been our first dinner out since Covid started and the staff had options in place for us, such as did we want to read the menu on our phones or did we want an actual menu, they asked us if we wanted to our our wine ourselves or did we want table service.

The food was also very tasty and the view fantastic.

Great food and atmosphere, a little noisy on the so called patio.

Beautifully cooked and presented arctic char and Dungeness crab were a highlight. The wine list was fine, but there was no low-alcohol beer available.

Love the Sandbar. The food is always great - although I am going to have to try something other than the Louie salad - LOL. The servicer was attentive and we were out on time for our play. Can't beat a sunny Vancouver day.

Work squid and oysters were great. Ribs were served cold - not sure if that's are supposed to be cold, but hot would be better

We had been going to Sand Bar since day one. Food has improved. We had done the dine out this year . it was amazing. So we decided to go on my Birthday. Very nice time. cheers

The food was great. We had a nice ocean view. A bit on the pricier side but for a special night out it was definitely worth it.

Great sunny winter day on a beautiful patio! Our server was the best!

Free parking after 6pm. Great food & friendly efficient staff.

Great place server had lots of tables so Very busy so service was a little slower but we had lots of time so no issues

Sandbar has always been a favourite of mine with a love for seafood! Got to introduce it to my partner and safe to say it’s now a favourite of his too.
Oysters were tasty as always and the sable fish remains my go to!
The fresh caught features make it that much more personal and authentic.
Our server Patrick was great, Very attentive but not overbearing.
We can’t wait to come back make many memories here!
