The Salted Vine Kitchen + Bar
The Salted Vine Kitchen + Bar offers a unique variety of share plates with a modern-country farmhouse decor, in the base of the downtown Hotel Squamish, the city’s oldest standing building, circa 1910. The colourful oil paintings, wooden serving boards and ceramic dishware are all the work of local artists. The cozy country-cottage design, which includes exposed structural beams in a bright lounge abutting the open kitchen.
We looked at the Prix Fixe menu and drooled. It looked like a good deal......and it certainly was. The sweet onion soup was delicious, the beet salad (hubby) and my charcuterie platter were yummy and huge proportions. I had the pasta spiro something or other....dead on texture and nice heat and hubby’s mushroom risotto was creamy and perfectly done. I ended with the cheese platter but stole a lot of OM’s pavlova. With a half carafe of Lopèz rioja our anniversary dinner was just over $100.00. We love this neighbourhood eatery and the new prix fixe menu is a hit with us.
Was a very lovely place. Good atmosphere and service and food was great. Would go back.
This was our third of fourth visit to The Salted Vine. Our second time bringing friends. Every meal has been outstanding. The service is very friendly and now familiar :) The food is wonderfully fresh and inventive. This visit my three companions all had the ling cod in broth and were quite happy. It isn't often that one can find ling on a menu. I had the beef with chimichura and loved it. The sauce was so delicious and garlicky I asked for extra, which they kindly obliged.
My only suggestion would be that the lights could be slightly lower for the ambiance.
Stopped in to try the restaurant out on our way up to Whistler. Will definitely go back.
We have been there before and liked it so we were in Squamish so we thought we would go again.
What a gem of a restaurant in downtown squamish. Who would have know. Food delicious . Reasonably priced. Highly recommend
Most of the dishes we ordered were very tasty except one, which was a bit disappointing. The cheese souffle was unique and enjoyable, which led us to order the risotto ball appetizer since the server said it was their most popular dish. This was unfortunately a bit boring for us. The duck and beef mains were nicely presented and so flavorful, they bordered on being too flavorful! The service was average, friendly but not always attentive as we had to keep asking for water refills even though the restaurant wasn't that busy. The wine selection was small and for a nicer restaurant, having more thoughtfulness in suggested pairings would have been nice. Overall, the food was good but the experience was nothing out of the ordinary.
We were there for the happy hour, the food was very tasty and good value from a portion & price. We had the chicken wings, oyster, meat board and the olives. Great discovery and looking forward to coming back for dinner.
Took my adult children and their partners for dinner and had the greatest time. Platters made for sharing of the most delicious restaurant food around. Excellent wine list and hospitable owner and staff. A little expensive with my hungry family, but excellent 5 star experience with NO regrets. I'd sure recommend this.
Casual atmosphere. A unique menu and everything was delicious. Our server was knowledgeable about the ingredients and preparation. Overall, it made for a fun night out.
Always top notch. Lovely staff. Looking for duck but none, alas. Im sure they change the menu up.
Great experience and food was amazing.
Great food, excellent drinks and fabulous service. One of the best places to go for upper scale dining on the sea to sky corridor. Pat really tries to ensure you’re having the best experience, and our server (Jenny) was outstanding. Definitely recommend.
Awesome food at a very fair price. Every dish is well presented and tastes even better than the pleasant and modest description suggests. Staff are welcoming and make you feel like they appreciate you joining them for the evening.
Overpriced and underwhelming. Perhaps it’s necause I am spoiled by the quality and value of food that I eat in Vancouver but I would not return. Menu was unimaginative and felt like it was 10 years behind. There was no personality in the food or in the staff.
I found this restaurant on yelp and it was great. The food was perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned. There were so many things that looked great on the menu and it seems like they change it seasonally.
We did the Sea To Sky Gondloa on a sunny Sunday and wanted a place to go for dinner. We just happen to google restaurants in Squamish and we are so lucky we found it!, great dinner experience, worth the price and the drive.
A bit of a treat for us, but the SV is our 'go to' favourite restaurant in Squamish
Food was OK. Service was a bit scattered. Had to wait 20 minutes for simple dessert which had been sitting on the bar for sometime before being brought to the table. Noisy place.
Was able to taste a favorite appetizer, foie gras. Isn't in tge nenu, but a friend who had eaten in Salted Vine before, told me to ask my server. If there's in the kitchen, tge chef will prepare a very good appetizer portion.😄
The service was friendly, professional and top notch. The food was spectacular. This restaurant is casual, professional and highly recommended.
My wife and I have eaten twice at this restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the food and experience on both occasions
We thoroughly enjoyed the varied flavours of the menu. The plates were beautiful to the eye and the aromas tantalizing.
Good food, great dessert. We thought we weren’t hungry but we finished everything from the meat board to the mains (get the short ribs) to the desserts.
A hidden jem located in downtown Squamish. Highly recommend 'The Salted Vine' for very good food and service. Definately will attend this eatery again... my new favourite
This is definitely the best restaurant in Squamish. Mostly farm to table with a top notch cocktail menu. Most importantly, easy to get lots of vegetables that taste delicious.
Great service. Food was correctly seasoned. We took the warm olives, the risutto and the short ribs. Everything was perfect. Small and romantic restaurant.
The space is crowded with very little noise absorption; the music goes from jazz to rock; the tables are way toooo small for a shared plate restaurant and are packed in a very tiny space, not like a quaint French bistro style, but more like we need jam as many people as we can in a small space; food and service is excellent for the most part; if you’re looking for an evening out with friends over fine dinning, look elsewhere; not intimate enough to have a decent conversation as it’s too loud even with the restaurant not being full; I don’t mind paying the prices in the menu but the overall experience was so not worth the price.
Phenomenal food in a very refined but not stuffy setting. One of the best places to eat in Squamish.
Food is delicious but portions are quite small, especially for the price.
Friendly and helpful staff. Good food which is designed to be shared, but crazy prices for only a couple of bites.
Coming from a scenic drive, we visit your restaurant for the second time.
It's nice to wind down, relax and eat good food.
However my first impression was better, especially was I disappointed from the the Pork Belly.
On my first visit I was very impressed with this dish and was looking forward to this. The meat should have been hot and a bit crispy, instead of serving it just warm.
My suggestion; consider serving some small fresh bread slices & butter at dinner time before the meal arrives. (without charge) Most restaurants do this.
Everything was great except the noise level was very high.
There are nice options—but nothing much for children — but we found it a bit unnecessarily snooty. Small portions. Barley risotto was a bit blah. The cod was really nice but one could imagine a bit more generosity with the sides. The fries with the Parmesan and rosemary were EXCELLENT. Pricey, overall. I don’t think we will go back.
We heard this was a great restaurant and finally had a chance to try it out on the way to whistler. Parked right outside and since we were early were seated straight away. We had a starter and 2 mains a veggie side and dessert. All were perfectly presented and delicious. I would highly recommend and go back for sure , great way to miss the rush of whistler and get better food at a more reasonable price.
A gem in Squamish. Food was outstanding, unique, flavourful and well presented. The server was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive without imposing on our evening. Highly recommended.

Excellent food and presentation. A lovely way to while away an evening. Great mixed drinks, and a staff that makes it clear that they are there to make your evening a pleasant experience.
Excellent meal, well presented and service was fantastic. Daily specials were fantastic.
