Amazing meal and drinks. The staff was so accommodating and lovely. Will be going back!
By the water and seafood was top notch. Excellent service and will definitely go back again.
Went to Salt Line for two birthdays last night. They gave us the best table in the house, right by the water. Service was phenomenal! We didn't wait for anything and our server was so on top of our table. Very impressive. Food was amazing. Just so very happy to share my birthday at a wonderful establishment. I wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else last night :)
Dined with my Son and Husband on Father's Day..the food was good. Especially loved the crispy fish sandwich. Casual atmosphere. The service was excellent. I will definitely go back.
The waiter was very attentive, food and drinks came quickly, and the food was great. A little pricey, but great for a casual special occasion place. All of the seafood was fresh! Great wine to accompany the meal.
Everything is delicious. We especially recommend the crab pimento cheese dip, the parker house rolls, and the lobster roll - dressed or butter. You can't go wrong with a Del's Shandy either! Great kids menu with a fish option!
Wonderful brunch for Fathers Day before the Nats game.
The food was terrific. The service was fantastic. What would have been very helpful was to receive an advisory that the Nationals were playing a doubleheader and DC United also had a game and parking would be an issue at the time of our reservation.
Was my first visit. We came between games of a split doubleheader. Service was a bit scattered and too slow. Food was delicious but a bit pricey. Entrees should include a choice of side. My scallop dish had four (4) scallops. 6 would have been perfect. Would go back in the hopes the experience would be better.
Great dinner before the National's game! Enjoyed oysters, clams (so good we ordered a second order), fish sandwich, and clam chowder. Waitstaff was helpful and friendly. We will be going back.
Good place, fun before the ball game. Was a bit noisier and more crowded than we would have liked. Five people at a booth was a bit tight.
Amazingly delicious food! Great service! Love this place!
We booked a table before a ball game at the stadium. That is a challenge for any restaurant, but to top it off, we were late (due to awful traffic). They kindly held the table for us, and got us fed (well) and out. That made it as easy as possible for us, and my husband (with a Maine background) loves those lobster roll sandwiches.
Great service. Drinks so so bar was too busy and more about volume with walk ups.
Really nice ambiance and fantastic food. Menu is limited, but what's available is great! Good, attentive service. Would definitely recommend.
Great service and food.
Great food and service.
My first time having dinner at Salt Line. An out of town friend and I had baseball tickets and we did dinner before the game. Jason, our server, was outstanding. New how to get us good gin and tonics, recommended several items some of which had caught our eye, and helped us have a great dinner experience. I will return.
Dined at Salt Line before the Nationals game last night as we have done for years. Despite the fact that the restaurant was only about 25-30 percent as full as usual and the fact that there seemed to be plenty of staff, service was not great. We arrived on time for our 5:45 reservation and we’re shuffled around by incompetent host staff for 15 minutes before we were finally seated by a manager. Totally ridiculous! The food was fine but not as good as usual. Disappointing. Will probably switch to All Purpose before the next game. Hopefully Salt Line will be able to better train their staff because we love it and want to go back.
Hi Nellie, Thanks for providing your feedback and I assure you we take it to heart. Appreciate your continued support and sorry for the host misstep and overall not meeting your expectations this last visit. Obviously we are always working with our team to improve so we will definitely review your experience with the team and will be a valuable coaching moment for them.
Food and drinks are always top notch at this place. Been going before games at Nationals Park for 3+ years. Stop by and have a nice evening out by the water. My wife and I always enjoy ourselves.
Nice place to have dinner and drinks before a Nats game!
Be aware that the menu lists prices for 14 and 16 ounce beers, but when they’re served the cups are barely 8 ounces. False advertising! Also, our coffee cups were barely half filled when served. Otherwise, the food and service are very good.
Hello- we are very sorry for that mistake and appreciate you bringing it to our attention. We recently reprinted our menus for the bar area and the wrong beverage menus were printed with the wrong glass sizes on there and we ddi not catch. In our outdoor bar area we use plastic glasses which are a 14 oz and not the 16oz glass pints we use inside at bar. The menu has been corrected.
So great! Service and food were amazing, as always.
We had reservations for 5 pm outside for 6, and we were seated on the side of the building. It was perfect because we had a 4 and an 8 year old. There were other tables with children as well, so perfectly situated. Our server was Cheryl and she was absolutely great. The scallops were great, the soft shell crab was great. The crispy fish sandwich and lobster roll were also delicious. The kids loved their hotdogs. Because the service from the seating to our server was so great, our family get together was wonderful.
The Salt Line fully deserves my Outstanding rating. Each staff member we interacted with was welcoming, efficient and helpful. Great job all! The two of us tried 5 dishes (including appetizer and sides). All five were delicious! Food was well-presented, well-prepared and excellent. Nice setting and location. All-around winner!
Our favorite spot to stop in on a DC bike ride! Superb experience with prompt seating to match my OpenTable request. The Manager also offered to reseat us as he realized our spot may have been just bit too sunny for us! Fantastic service, good food and fun drinks! We'll be back soon!
We went to the Salt Line for Sunday brunch to celebrate my birthday - our waiter was fantastic, the drinks were excellent, and the oysters were delicious. All around a perfect experience!
Great service. He recommended a very nice wine to go with our oysters. We were right by the big bay door in the back so got a nice view of the water and breeze. It was a very nice experience.
It would have been perfect brunch had my meal not arrived cold (eggs Benedict)
Amazing food and great service! Love how close it is to Nats park!
Despite having a reservation the restaurant wasn’t prepared to give us a table inside on a cold and rainy night. They eventually accommodated us but the waiter while competent was not particularly friendly. The lobster rolls were chewy and over-cooked. It was a milestone birthday celebration and the restaurant was slightly disappointing.
The servers are always amazing here. Knowledgeable about the drinks and food. It makes the dining experience really enjoyable.
What a lovely dinner! It was my grandmothers birthday and the waiter saw the wrapping paper from her present and brought her a birthday suprise
The initial table assigned wasn’t acceptable. Requested a different table that appeared to be an unpleasant request. After personally visiting Host, new table was eventually allowed.
Food was plentiful and great.
Wonderful meal with equally wonderful service!
We were unable to complete our plans because the only parking available was $48!!!! We considered that outrageous so we left and had our oysters at Union Market.
The meal was unrushed and tasty. The service from Chis was pleasant and helpful. Great cocktail and delicious oysters.
Better if you can get an outdoor table, but inside has great ambiance too. Great for date night; the food is superb and service even better!
So happy to have the soft shell crabs back! They are among my favorite foods and I have been trying them all over town and Saltline’s are the absolute BEST!
