I chose The Salt Line as a place to catch up with old friends visiting from out of town and it was the perfect location. We were super comfortable at the fireplace table and we were able to stay till close. Our server Jon was so sweet and accommodating. I’ve always been a fan of the Salt Line but this evening there was particularly lovely.
Terrific food and friendly faces.
Food and drinks were absolutely delicious! The Kampachi Crudo was out of this world (we ordered two because one was just too good to share!). Did a mix of raw oysters as well; will definitely be back!
Great food great service great view. Portions rather small for the price
One of the best places to get a lobster roll, eat oysters, or have a cocktail and meet friends. Very friendly place that doesn't lend stress to these already troubled times. Beautiful views of the water, and just a step away from the baseball stadium as well as other local bars and restaurants along the Navy Yard waterfront area.
Always a good place to dine. Great views and the food is pleasing to the eye and taste great. Love the oysters as a starter. My wife loves the warm parker house rolls. And let's not forget the cocktails. Yum
The patio was lovely, we had a table with a view of the river. The oysters, entrees, beers, and dessert were all fantastic. Staff went above and beyond to make us happy.
Very good food. A little pricey. Very creative with Brussels sprouts and sea bass.
Excellent food. Table of 4, everyone loved every dish. Very good service as well.
The food and ambiance were good but there were three items we ordered that were sold out, the dessert menu is weak and the service was ok. It’s not a bad place for beer and oysters but don’t expect more.
Outside seating is very comfortable and all covered. Food was all yummy as usual. Great view.
serving sizes were pretty small, but overall it was a very good meal.
The Salt Line is one of my wife and I's favorite DC restaurants. This is probably our 8th time dining there. The food is always consistently good and fresh. The staff is very attentive and you can't be the location. I highly recommend the oysters, baked clams, lobster roll and fish stew.
There for Mother’s Days
It was a little casual but overall it’s was a good experience
Food options were great. The manager was awesome and the atmosphere was perfect
Everything was absolutely wonderful! The food was amazing.
You can’t go wrong with the food or drinks here. The patio is beautiful with water views but still temperature controlled with a cover and heat lamps when needed. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive and I never have a bad time at the salt line.
Wife was very disappointed in the way her and her sister were treated. After being rushed by the waiter one too many times, the got up and left.
We love The Salt Line and their food. The service was a little slower than visits pre COVID but it looked like our server was working a big section by himself on a rainy Friday night. Hope great places like this survive the tough capacity mandates from DC government.
Amazing place, scenery, service and food impeccable!
we ordered the seafood tower ( $ 100 ) . Altho the oysters were very good they did have bits of shell in most. The crab legs were stringy ..........overall the dish was disappointing . The 3 clam bellies were nothing special either , especially for $ 16 . The stuffies were good . Ambience was fine but wouldnt rush back .
Lobster Roll was average at best. Basically served on a buttered top cut hot dog bun.
Clam “chowder” was soupy and lacked some of the basics.
Average to below average service.
Fantastic location and overall great restaurant setup. Food was underwhelming at best.
Our waiter was terrific. Friendly and fun but not intrusive.
We like the Salt Line ...... food is good but not as good as it has been. Service ALWAYS superb.
Great oysters and probably one of the best lobster rolls I have ever had.
We visited for the first time on a Sunday afternoon and were able to get seated immediately inside, in a booth next to the window. The raw oyster selection was good and the oysters seemed very fresh. My wife ordered the fried seafood platter, but they were out of the fish so her meal didn’t include the fish. She had plenty of fried shrimp, oysters, and scallops so that was good. I ordered the Portuguese Stew. It was tasty but pretty small for a main course. Overall, the food was good but not anything I would go out of my way to eat. The prices were not cheap but probably not unreasonable given the situation and location.
We were celebrating a birthday and the restaurant did nothing to celebrate or make it special for us
Never disappoints! Service, food, and ambiance are always just what I expect it to be!
Awesome service, awesome food. They accommodated my S***head friends which is impressive!
Went for a 50th birthday and they made it amazing. Found out about the restaurant from coaching in the FlagStar Football league and it was everything it was hyped up to be and more. I will definitely be back.
Thank you for choosing The Salt Line for your celebration and sooo glad you all had a good time. Look forward to you joining us again soon!
Great service and amazing drinks, Javier was awesome
Our server took FOREVER and attended to other tables 3 times before checking on us.
Food was great and our service was terrific!
Terrible. Not good service and serving alcohol to clearly drunk patrons
Amazing location.. found hair in food .. manager was very apologetic.. staff should wear hair nets.. it’s still COVID-19, considering the open door that cause the restaurant to be extremely uncomfortable. I shall return on a 90 degree day.
Great food , cool setting . Fun place to watch the Nats game when you can’t get in the stadium!
Excellent oysters and an all-around delicious meal in a lovely setting. Service was great! Perfect spot to go before a Nats game
Cheryl is the best person on the planet
Good food and friendly staff. We had a great time!
