Great seafood-and I am from New England!
The wait staff was chill and super friendly.
Dinner before soccer game. Repeat customer. The perfect venue for a meal before or after a soccer or baseball game. With reduced capacity at sporting events, the atmosphere remains lively and enjoyable and a little less frenetic. In either case, the dining experience at Salt Line is always a pleasure.
Great service and enjoyable views
Note: says open at noon but game days they open 2 hours before. Got there and got two seats at the bar! Great distancing. Had the oysters! Terrific! Had the roast beef on onion roll. OMG!!! Get that. Fries were delish as well.
Love this place! The smashburger (had previous visit) was off the hook!!!
We sat outside and the Salt Line provided great service and food while still making us feel safe. Definitely recommend.
Food was just okay - part of my fish was raw, and my oysters came out after the meal. The dessert was outstanding, and service was fantastic!
Just got drinks
Loved The Salt Line! Our outdoor dining was an excellent experience was enhanced by heaters the waterview and all the wonderful dogs being walked that evening.
The oyster selection has nice diversity, and our selections were wonderfully FRESH.
Our entrees were Very good oil poached black bass was superb, and the veal bolognese was gobbled up by my husband.
Though my husband did eat every bite, I was underwhelmed by the dessert milkshake with too much of, well everything.
Fabulous meal and great service! Wonderful place to celebrate a birthday. Great views of the river too!
Waitress Amy was incredibly kind and service was always prompt. Felt welcomed from the start and taken care of to the end.
I had such a fabulous experience for my birthday 💖 The food and the service were amazing, and the oysters are par none. Thanks for such an amazing time Xx
Pre-game dinner at Salt Line. Service very good. My main course was not worth the high price (swordfish) and was a small portion with minimal sides. The dessert was excellent. Nice view and nice vibe.
Very nice place, great food, excellent service, courteous staff, we really enjoyed the entire time.
This was my third and last time trying to make this restaurant a worthy dining experience. First, the host took too long to check people in. He needed some help. The server seemed overworked too. He asked me to repeat our drink order (it was only two of us) at least three times after leaving the table supposedly to place the order. On top of that, he didn't know what type of vodka they offered other than Tito's. We asked for Grey Goose, nope. We asked for Kettle One, nope. My dinner partner finally said, "just tell me what you DO have". The only thing he could think of was Tito's. Once that ordeal was over and we thought we'd get our drinks, the bartender came over to verify the order! All I wanted was a glass of ginger ale and I got seltzer water. I was looking forward to some raw oysters. Of the seven or eight varieties offered, only three were available. My partner was looking forward to the fried Ipswich clams. One bite revealed an oversalted batter. He had to send them back and the server informed us that he had to ask the manager if he could take them off our bill. I don't care who you ask, that's not our problem. We're not paying for food that's not edible. Next, we ordered our entrees, baked cod for him and seared scallops for me. Unlike the clams, both dishes were absolutely tasteless. Not a drop of seasoning. My partner even suspected that his fish had been frozen. We picked around the dishes but they were not enjoyable at all. Finally, because we were still hungry, we asked for the dessert menu. It included some weird choices that were no more appealing than our entrees. By this time, we just wanted the check so we could go get something to eat! We ended up paying almost $150 (including tip) for that crap. I'm done with this restaurant. Next!
Awesome restaurant if you want to sit by the river w/ a couple friends and enjoy an afternoon!
Great place for a casual and fun afternoon bite, drink and date. With the reality of moving to D.C. soon, we couldn’t have enjoyed a better atmosphere and welcoming level of hospitality. And afterwards, the joy of having such a cool walk with a view. Thanks again for a great time. Alex & Cindy
Wonderful food and ambiance. A bit pricey for the amount of food you are given, however the food is great!
Top tier service The food tasted fresh and flavorful Always a great time
The food was OK but the views were beautiful! Waiter was extremely personable, nice and accommodating. I would recommend...
Horrible service. Decent food, but not good value.
It was an excellent dinner and the service was great.
It was good. We really enjoyed ourselves. Music was a touch loud
We are never disappointed at Salt Line - delicious food and great ambience! Gorgeous views!
I was happy with the service. Our server was patient and explained all the bees to us. The fish was so well seasoned. The oysters were extremely fresh.
Went for an afternoon snack, my 8 year old and I enjoyed the seating & the view. We could see the water and were far enough away from people that we felt comfortable. Unfortunately the kids menu is limited (only 3 options). I complete get that the location is in a predominantly single white area, however we gotta have more options for the babies. Over all good afternoon, great oyster selection and an attentive without being annoying staff.
They started HH at 1pm! Half priced oysters and beer, what more could I ask for!!!
Always great service and yummy food. A favorite spot for outdoor dining in the Nacy Yard.
Lovely spot for an afternoon snack and beverage before the baseball game. The staff works together and cover the whole patio so service was shockingly fast and wonderful. Friendly staff, terrific drinks, great atmosphere!
Our server, John, was incredible! We will definitely come back again and again to see him! So hospitable, friendly and knowledgeable.
First time to Salt Line — we had a great server & excellent hospitality, along with very good food & drinks. The patio & atmosphere were beautiful — just a great experience all around. We live a couple blocks away, so we’ll be back, often.
One of our favorite restaurants! But unfortunately, this time our meals came out before our 3 appetizers did, and then minutes later our appetizers came, got delivered to the wrong table, and were then delivered to us. So we had two meals, 3 different apps, drinks, waters and a water pitcher on our small table. Didn't get to enjoy the apps because our meals came beforehand. We also waited over 10 minutes before our waiter even came over to take our drink orders.
The outdoor seating was great! And so was the food :)
Ambiance was very good along and overall experience was good on the exception of the server and the crab. The server was inattentive and walked passed us several times before asking if we wanted a drink or even food. For the crab it would be great if they had an entree that was warm whether than only raw bar options.
The lobster roll is outstanding and the service is excellent.
Terrific restaurant. Great food, drink and ambiance.
Crab dip was tasty and the glazed carrots were fantastic. We liked the scallops dish very much; it was cooked perfectly and had nice accompanying garnishes and sauce. The black bass dish was a little disappointing. The fish portion was very small (maybe 2 ounces), the lima beans and peas were a bit undercooked, and overall it was a little bland (could have used more broth and maybe some sort of reduction). The server was awesome, very friendly and polite. We live nearby and dine with you frequently so we will definitely see you again. Thanks much.
Great food. Simple presentation and quick.
Had a great night at Salt Line! First, we felt very safe at tables appropriately spaced, and the whole staff double masked. Great drinks, delish food and the cool air coming off the water coupled with heaters made for a perfect evening!
Love this place! Super fun, great vibe and amazing seafood! The staff is great too.
