I tried the Salt Line for the first time over Brunch. They have delicious menu options with the ambiance that takes you to a New England coastal town.
We were looking for some good seafood while in DC and this place checked the box. Restaurant is beautiful and the staff was helpful and kind.
The lobster roll was yummy. Lots of lobster :)
We got 2 fish dishes. We were a little disappointed because both dishes were very small....I would have liked a little more fish...but both were delicious. We had room for dessert...we normally skip dessert ...but the s’mores thing was YUMMY!
If I go back I’ll get the lobster roll for sure. You can’t go wrong. Some of the appetizers sounded delicious too.
The best! Love the staff, view and food!
It was a very busy time before the Nats 4th game. Restaurant was very accommodating
Amazing restaurant, and super convenient for a great meal on NATS game days! Highly recommend the crab dip, oysters and the cheeseburger!
They resturant had us in and out in 45 minutes on a saturday night.
Meh. Its got a great location, right on the waterfront, but overall it's just fair.
They always take care of me...
Always a reliable restaurant: good food, good service and good atmosphere. Dined here many times. Never disappointed.
Lobster rolls are some of the best in the area. A taste of New England
Always excellent service and food!!
Went to the Salt Line for brunch and really enjoyed the experience. The setting was lovely as was the vibe - but importantly the food was exceptional - and the service was wonderful and warm. Would highly recommend.
This place is amazing - great location, excellent wait staff, kid friendly and accommodating, food is innovative without pushing the limits and delicious, decor is a fun nautical theme without being cheezy. The whole experience feels like something special without being overly expensive. The scallop crudo, stuffed clams and smoked fish platter are exceptional.
Second time visiting and equally as disappointing. I will not be returning to this restaurant. Food is ok, at best. I got the cheeseburger both times I visited because it gets such high marks. Not impressed.
Service was pretty bad but food was decent
The portions were very small compared to the price.
The food was very good. Our server was just OK. He didn't seem to be happy to be there. And we felt a bit rushed. I also thought the food was very expensive and the portions small.
Delicious, beautiful, always a great time! I will always recommend The Salt Line!
Amazing atmosphere, amazing service, amazing food — terrific night with friends. We have gone as a party of 2, 4, and 8 - it has been just right every time!!!
We dined before the Wildcard playoff game. The atmosphere was energetic to say the least. Service was prompt and courteous. Our lobster rolls were delicious.
Tasty food and great service! The location is cool being near the ballpark. Also a good beer lineup as well!
Went after the Nats game. Very crowded; glad we had a reservation. Seated on time and server was there quickly. Food arrived very quickly. Portions average size and prepared well. We enjoyed ourselves! Only complaint is that it was very loud.
Best burger in dc
Salt Line is a terrific place to grab a bite before (or after) a Nats game, which was the occasion for this visit. Four of us sat outside on the patio with a lovely view of the Anacostia River, on a beautiful afternoon. We shared a plate of oysters (perfectly shucked and presented, as always) and then went light on main courses. I almost always get the lobster roll (buttered of course), but didn't have the appetite for it this time so I ordered the heirloom tomato salad. Which was a little heavy on the oregano and a little challenging to eat (cherry tomatoes! -- chasing them around the plate) but on balance I would recommend this dish. My friends had salad, reported as very good, and my husband had his "usual" the clam chowder. Oh and we shared an order of onion rings (easily enough for 4 people as a side) which are to die for. Our waiter was knowledgeable, prompt, and polite. Salt Line is a happening place in warm and temperate weather with a terrific outdoor bar. This is a "neighborhood gem" that is worth the trip!
The view, the food, the vibe.
Nice restaurant on the water to sit outside and enjoy some delicious seafood.
Entree portions were embarrassingly small for the high price. Rockfish was big enough for 4 bites. The scallops in the bucatini were scarce and one needed a magnifying glass to find them. I had never seen such small scallops. It wasn’t apparent from the menu and the prices that this was a “small plates” restaurant. I was embarrassed for my guests since I had raved about this restaurant.
Great lobster rolls!
Our server Cheryl was fantastic. The lobster roll was delicious and the onion rings perfect! The waterman’s platter was overflowing with get seafood and tasty
A great, celebratory experience capped off with good service, best oysters I've ever had, and great Cava. Great time!
My two dinner companions and I found the Salt Line pleasant with middling food. Since it's rather expensive, other seafood restaurants would probably be a better choice. In good weather, its outside patio seems like a great place for a young professional to spend happy hour.
Food was imaginative and well prepared. The service was excellent ! Great place ! We will be back !
We had several dishes and thought that the flavors were great, but different from what we normally expects. Differences were delicious.
Friends visiting from Texas joined 3 of us who are regulars at Saltline in Saturday before Nats game. Food and service was excellent!!!
Not the most helpful of wait staff. Over priced for the little amount of seafood in the dishes.
Outstanding food and service. We got lucky to have a booth in the corner, so conversation was easy with the minimal noise. Would certainly recommend the place
We ate at the bar instead of table because staff was great and had good insight into the menu. Great overall experience!
Excellent sea food, very attentive and knowledgable server, lovely view from the patio.
Visited many times and Salt Line is always a treat: lovely location, great ambiance, fine service and good food.
