I had to rebook my reservation and the front of house staff was really helpful and friendly. Our waiter was awesome and funny; this was lunch for friends who haven’t seen each other in months and we had a fantastic time. Would recommend, the food, drinks, view and everything was great!

Good location with a nice view of the water and bridges. Good size outdoor dining area with well distanced tables. Had the Waterman's platter and fish sandwich, both delicious.

Our server was very attentive. The food was delicious. We made a reservation and we were seated immediately. My only complaint, which is very minor, - our table was a high top and with four of us, there wasn't alot of "elbow" room.

FOOD- over price and not vert good. Have better seafood
DRINKS- Were okay...... nothing to rave about
SERVICE- horrible. it was are first time, had african american woman as our waiter (WE are AA FYI) she act as if she didnt want to serve us, came to our table twice the entire time we were there (2hrs) other servers brought our food and drinks, she never came by to ask how food was or drinks. We recognized that she went to other tables full of white plp she attended too. She finally came by after takingout orders after we finish the nasty food and asked if we enjoyed it. We asked for the check and she send her manager to us as if we thought we didnt like the food, but Really we didnt like her.... the manager apologized discounted our bill, gave us free drinks and told us she will speak to her. The waiter didnt even apologize....

Dnt really care to go back...

This is our second time visiting Salt Line for outdoor dining since they've begun offering that option and we've been pleased each time. Service is attentive and the raw bar offering always come out fast. Really loved the seasonal pineapple gazpacho.

Food pretty decent (soft shell crab a little chewier/less meaty than others', companion thought fish was undercooked), and why isn't bread & butter free? Service ok, maybe shouldn't put outdoor tables in awkward spots where you have to be very close to move past (physical distancing). Signage outside should be improved because there are like 4 spots clustered together. But overall a good dining experience with great views from the patio. Would go again.

Food was fantastic and I loved their wine list. Lots of cool options and our server was so knowledgeable. I can’t remember his name but he sounded exactly like John Mulaney. 12/10 service, 10/10 food.

It was fabulous! The 3 of us are regulars (usually found at the bar inside or outside weekly during normal baseball season) and occasionally we do table and resv with friends. We have been doing pick up from you regularly the past months and 2 of us have been outside but one in our group had not been to a restaurant since March and he picked Saltline for his first experience. He had some trepidation’s but when we arrived and he got to pick a table where he felt most comfortable and settled in with his first drink from Mack all was right with the world. Mack was the perfect person for our group and he took exceptional care with our friend. He was just the right mix of courteous, friendly and most of all made us all feel very welcome and safe. His providing a dessert to our friend was the perfect top off to a great experience. We are so happy to see how you are handling these challenges times and look forward to more visits and pickups. Please let Mack know how much we appreciated him....and we did try to convey that to him with our thanks and gratuity as well. Sue, Jason and Daryl.

The food was delicious. We had the crispy skin rockfish and summer scallop bucatini, and both were great. Definitely try the blueberry icebox pie! The setting by the Anacostia River is beautiful. Everything with their outdoor dining seemed covid-19 safe!

The staff was great and accommodating when trying to find us a nice table out of the direct sunlight. The lobster roll was amazing. We also got the Kraken seafood tower. It was ok, it seemed a little skimpy on the lobster and shrimp. Beverage selection was great. Good wine and lots of local beers including Aslin Brewery. And the atmosphere is unbeatable - outside along the river, people watching, nice breeze, good food and beer. We’ll be back...for the lobster rolls. They should sell a lobster roll tower. I’d buy that.

Great service. I don't remember our servers name (reddish hair) he was fantastic, extremely knowledgeable and friendly.
I was underwhelmed with my food selection- lobster roll sandwich- It was alright, nothing to write about. the side salad was soaking in dressing, sent it right back, to get another soaked salad. I wasn't upset about it. great location and friendly service were the high lights. i would recommend this restaurant to a friend- oysters were terrific.

The food was very good, however, I thought the portion of the halibut dinner I ordered was kind of small for the price. It would have benefited by having more than two bites of broccoli rabe.
Our waiter, Mack, was terrific and we enjoyed sitting by the water.

Salt line never fails to succeed. Since I moved down here from NYC, most of the water front restraurants either have bland food or terrible service, or both. Salt line since day 1 has been hospitable with a well curated food and beverage menu. This isn’t a Michelin star, Washington post bs place. It’s a restaurant that serves tasty food while taking care of the guest. That is hard to find in this city. Try the rock fish crudo!

Even though it was August, day was not too hot and there was a nice breeze outside, where we ate. Our table was ready on time. All the staff was friendly and professional. While menu was not long, there were plenty of attractive choices. Definitely a place for seafood lovers as only meat on menu that I recall was a roast beef sandwich. My friend and I were both pleased with our food. But I will add that some patrons might find the entrees on the small side.
