Always a good meal. It was raining like crazy outside but our waiter was cheerful and fantastic. Get the Palmer rolls. Yum
Great spot on the water with a nice selection of seafood.
Average. The food was bland, the view is great, and the service is okay. The lobster roll lacked flavor and seasoning and the roll fell apart. The croquettes were great sounding, but also lacked flavor. The crab dip tasted great, but didn’t have lump pieces of crab as advertised. Overall, I wished for more from a place with 4 stars.
The food is always good and fresh . I love their Fish Sandwich but the side order of Carrots was tasteless.
A great place to dine before or after a Nats game.
Loved loved our waitress, Sheryl! Drinks were nice and strong.
Salt Line uses fresh, seasonal ingredients to create wonderful dishes like gazpacho and burrata/tomato salad. It's a super lively, fun place to eat, with wonderful views of the river.
Few places have lobster rolls but it’s a little disappointing to be handed a lobster roll with so little meat.
Service was very rushed - even for late dining. The noise level was intense - it’s more like a bar than a restaurant. The food was…just fine. Nothing to write home about for sure. Much better seafood in and around the DC area.
Great place for a meal before a Nat's game. Good drinks and good food. Burger and lobster roll always good choice.
Knowledgeable server and great food.
Great location along the water and the food is always good. The service has been excellent each time I have been there. We have chosen to eat outside under the roof and it is comfortable even in inclement weather.
This place was absolutely great! From the food to the great customer service. Not to mention the taste and freshness of the food and the beautiful presentation of everything. This is my new favorite place. The noise level was good except for rude people on their cell phones thinking people want to hear their personal conversation…. Get a seat near the window with that great view, you won’t be disappointed… I know I was not..
Javier was a great waiter not rushing us. Arrived before a huge crowd from Nationals game flooded the outdoor seating and bar area. Food was good, a bit overpriced for lobster roll that was chewy but the rest of the meal was excellent.
Absolutely amazing. Great food, attentive waiter, beautiful ambiance in the water. 10 out of 10.
Very lovely! Delicious food and great service. Look forward to attending again.
Delicious food but limited non-alcoholic drinks and service was a little chaotic. We had multiple servers appear at various and had to repeat orders.
Food quality is generally solid, and ambience and service excellent, but pricing is on the high side. Oysters at $3.25-4.25 each is not a great value. Neither is the $30 lobster roll.
Great atmosphere. Solid food. Great service. Great location.
For a hopping place, the bathrooms need to be redone. Put in automatic everything. No air blowers, automated paper towels. Very small it's going to have to grow.
It was the one downside...
We had such a nice afternoon at the Salt Line. The oysters were so fresh and the veggie sides were surprisingly delicious and full of great flavor. And the view and ambience was perfect for a September afternoon. Great place for special gatherings.
GREAT service!!! Love it here
No oysters... food mediocre.. come for drinks only, & call ahead of you’re planning to go there for oysters.
Highly recommend this restaurant.
The place is right by the water. A huge boardwalk and good views of water and bridge. Food sucked. Oysters are good.
I had swordfish and it is just like rubber.
Delicious food as always!
Friendly staff and great food keeps us coming back!
I went with a group of friends and it was all of our first time visiting the Salt Line. The food was delicious and the service was great. We all left saying we will be back to try some of the other entrees on the menu. Also my oyster eating friends loved the raw bar with the oysters on the half shell.
Beautiful night for outdoor dining a great way to celebrate my birthday with my family.
The smash burger was so delicious, as was the seafood tower!
Service was great. Restaurant has a great view of the new bridge. Shaded and right on the water. Will definitely go again
We went yesterday for my birthday, it was a very good experience but I have to say that my Rockfish tartare was unexpectedly small. Also, they knew it was my birthday and they didn’t offer us some glass of champagne or a complementary dessert..The attention was excellent. Overall it was very good.
I wish we could remember our server’s name. He made the entire night. He had great recommendations without being pushy. He was attentive without constantly being at the table. He was great. The ambiance was terrific and food was delicious. Prices were not too bad but for most of us these are not an every night kind of prices😋
The food and service was phenomenal! I’ll definitely return for their oysters!!
This is a prime location and they price their food accordingly, but I found the portions to be small even by DC standards. The service was also a bit substandard, although that was likely because we ordered off a QR code rather than full service (it wasn't offered on the patio). Otherwise very tasty and a great atmosphere!
Hi, very good location on the water...
did find it weird that all ordering...including drinks etc, was by way of QR code.
the interaction with the waiter was very unrewarding.
maybe this ordering method speeds things up but to us we thought it
was not a good thing.
The service by Javier was a highlight as is the ambience. The fried fish sandwich was good but Market Lunch at Eastern Market has a lighter touch on the breading Salt Line may want to test.
Summertime waterfront spots and The Salt Line is a favorite place to go pre-game or go for happy hour, however, I don't often go just for a meal. This weekend a group of four of us went for brunch and Salt Line did not disappoint. Service was friendly and overall attentive, and pretty quick on a busy day. Great choice of beers and mixed drinks. They made cod into a solid dish that was both tasty and relatively healthy; burger (double paddy) was fresh and cooked perfectly (plus good fries); Crab Chilaquiles was good, as was the Portuguese Egg Sandwich. Only real disappointment was that the crab mac n' cheese isn't on the menu anymore -- but the everyday menu offering of shrimp bucatini looks like a possible replacement candidate. Really great atmosphere and helpful/invested staff abound.
Great outdoor dining space and an ambience. We came here for an anniversary dinner and really enjoyed every part of our meal including drinks. Would definitely recommend.
The food was excellent but the portions are small for the price. I speculate that you are paying for the location right on the waterfront.
Would go again but just for drinks.
I found the restaurant to be really satisfying and tasty.
