Staff were very pleasant and helpful.Lovely friendly people.
Beautiful food as usual, never been let down here.
Very busy but very good service as always. Carvery reopened, very good. I would recommend Sally Pussey's Inn, they never let you down.
Great food and service for a great price and good portion sizes.
Dinner cold service very poor told 3 different ways to order the diner not good at all won’t recommend
Great service and food. Felt a little rushed due to the 1.5 hour time slot.
Forgotten food from our plates
Drinks took the same amount of time as the food?
Excellent choice of food at good value. Lovely friendly and helpful staff.
Good food and good value for money, fresh produce with good sized portions.
Although very busy ,staff excellent and attentive ,food was fine ,will be back again
Service - poor - hot drinks - no non dairy options, and the black coffee we asked for to be asked for several times , then only one showed up.
One of us had food (salad) which was very very fast to arrive, tasty and well presented.
The main server for us was looking like she was having the worst mood / day.
The table was in an high traffic area so noisy and as far as COVID goes - didn’t feel safe.
It didn’t feel welcoming at all, we were limited to 1.5 hours- half hour less than most other venues .
Menu doesn’t cater well to people with dietary requirements or different choices … Vegan options really lacking.
Generally it felt like “pack in as many as you can as quickly as you can” …. And with menu that is very basic pub food.
When I’ve been here in the past it seemed to be nice home cooked food and welcoming …. Now it feels like one of the more “sausage factory” formula branded pubs. Sad to see
Curry of the day - Chicken Tikka Masala worst I have ever had at a pub. Dry chicken, barely any sauce, a mountain of rice and very tasteless. Very disappointed. Only positive was the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake which had nice presentation.
A frequent visitor pre-lockdown I was looking forward to going back. The Inn is doing its best but I miss the old menu chalked up over the bar. Food was plentiful and hot just like before. I thought the sanitising procedures could have been better. We ran out of drinks and were unable to catch the waitress's eye for quite a while. The waitress did return at the start of the meal to check all was okay but was absent after that looking after other tables. A bit frustrating for customers. I am sure all these minor issues will be ironed out with time and hopefully a return to normal! I will keep coming back and hope that Sally Pussey keeps the option of booking a table as previously it was just turn up and hope for a table. Noise levels were low which was nice for a family chat. Table numbers did not seem to be reduced but I expect they only booked out a proportion of them to keen social distancing intact. All credit to Sally Pussey for keeping going.
Very easy booking a table by the website. Booked a couple of hours before on the same day. Covid regulations very easy to meet. Perfect service, lovely food and good value overall. Would recommend.
Following a disappointing first visit whilst on holiday in the area a few days prior this time was much improved. Good service and attentive staff… meal arrived promptly with good portion size. The food was extremely tasty and good value for money. The organisation with regards to COVID requirements was excellent as was on our previous visit
Excellent pleasant service. Food plentiful and good.
Fajitas and burgers were spot on but the chilli con carne was quite watery and underwelming.
Absolutely gorgeous choice of starters, mains and desserts. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Will definitely be back and recommend always
The only thing I was not happy about was we were given 1 and a half hour slot for table. We waited at least 20 minutes for food. We were deciding whether to have desserts, ten after only an hour we were told we only had 10 minutes left but it was actually half hour and wouldn’t have time for dessert.
Very friendly and helpful staff, food was really good
Lovely cooked breakfast. All freshly cooked. Well presented on the plate. The restaurant was lovely and clean but only comment is the table looked very clean but it was very sticky. Would most certainly return again
We have been occasional diners at Sally Pussey's Inn for several years. The welcome is always superb, the food is great and the service is second to none.
Fab service and food was amazing! Better than I expected, arrived quickly and was delicious. Would highly recommend and would go back again.
Arrived at 7.00pm Sunday evening for Sunday lunch… we were shown to table promptly and served drinks… we chose the carvery option and whilst the meat options were well presented and looked delicious the vegetables were not. Roast potatoes had been in heated trays for some time…parsnips were tough and cauliflower cheese was not vey cheesy… Yorkshire pudding shattered when cutting.Whilst the taste was acceptable the veggies and Yorkshire’s had been over cooked… disappointing
Food was fine and service good. Sitting outside on a hot day was a relief.
We came to The Saly Pussey's Inn for a family birthday after being recommended by a few people. We were not disappointed!! The food was fantastic (especially the white chocolate cheesecake!) and we thought great value for money. The childrens portions are really big but also come with a drink and ice cream.
The restaurant itself is lovely, even with the current restrictions is place it was a nice relaxed atmosphere, spaced out without it feeling sterile.
Over all we had a great time and will be back!
The food was excellent the service was excellent too much food to eat but worth the price
Good pub food, fast and friendly service, good family atmosphere
Last minute booking for 6 people. Great food & great service.
Great food and service. Good prices too. Have been a number of times and will keep returning
Lovely first experience for us. Only one thing is that we was given the starters before we received the drinks
Huge portions of tasty food. we’ll be back again soon
Lovely food, great service, very friendly staff, Covid safe, good prices, defiantly book there again
The drinks were a disappointment. the food was very good.
If your looking for that little extra style in your dining then Sally’s is the place for you. Highly recommend 👍🏻😬
Very busy but they coped extremely well, service and food very good , large portions, no room for desert
Good food and atmosphere. Portion sizes are big. Would definitely recommend.
The service and choice as always good. However the vegetables were cold and had to be replaced
1st class service as always, generous portions, fantastic food, reasonable prices and nice atmosphere
Enjoyable meal and food was excellent. Will visit again soon.
I had a late carvery at 7 o'clock it was not the best it could have been the Yorkshire puddings were so dry it was more like eating crisps the meat was a bit tough and veg a bit cold . Their were 5 if us all the other meals were excellent
