The Sally Pussey's Inn

We came with our daughter and it was so lovely! Our daughter was a bit fussy at first and being a pickle but once we got the food she was a a good as gold! She must have enjoyed it loads! We definitely enjoyed our and the pudding was amazing! We had a Sally’s signature burger, the bulldozer burger and the kids sausage and egg! And for pudding the banoffe waffle! Definitely would come back again! Great value for money!

Felt safe and staff very friendly and efficient. Enjoyed the food and drink and will return for sure.

Our Table did not have a heater, I think if there were more heaters available it would have made it more comfortable.

Normal love the food here but the pizzas were pretty average on this visit and the visit was spoiled a bit by fact we requested table with heater and called prior to visit and we’re told we would be on table 104 with a heater and when arrived we were in 103 no heater and someone else was on table we were promised with heater. With 2 small children in our party the not having heat lamp really affected our visit and stopped us staying for dessert.

Good food, warm enough even though outside. Marquee was closed on 3 sides and close to the main building, so no issue if it rained. Hanging heater above the table which boosted the warmth a bit.

The food was incredible and great value for money

During these current hard times, they all did amazingly. The food, including the carvery, was hot and fresh. Would highly recommend it to anyone and will be back as soon as we can.

Disappointed there wasn't any steak on the menu......no sauces on the table or offered with our meal, pizza arrived late, no heaters above most of the tables, sides of marquee open causing wind tunnel and missed upsell opportunities with extra drinks

A very friendly host and young waitress. Spacious open marquee that was cosy warm with heaters. I had the Lasagne and my partner had the chicken and bacon salad. Both were ample meals and equally delicious. Easily accessible from M4 and local main roads. Look forward to our next visit.

A great welcome at the Sally Pussey. The staff were helpful and the food was excellent. Very generous portions! The marquee was a bit cold but at least we were dry!

There was a very chilly wind and the table we were on did not have a heater. Perhaps the plates could be hotter to keep the food warmer for longer.

We enjoyed the meal being the first time out for months and admire the hard work put into making it safe.

I went with a group of friends to celebrate a couple of birthdays .
We were very happy with the arrangements for COVID-19 and didn’t feel to close to other diners. The meals were very good . I will definitely do a return visit .

£xcellent quality food in good size portions, delivered by nice and friendly staff.
Although we ate on the outdoor tables which were great, if there was anything negative we could say at all was that the 'covered' outdoor tables were more enclosed than they are supposed to be during covid. Apart from a small exit and entrance to the rest of the pub, they were fully enclosed rather than having ends being open so air could flow through. The point of having an outdoor covered area is so that it 'is' outdoor and not just enclosed by something else.
That said, we had a very nice 2hr lunch.

Always great but shame the weather wasn’t a little better. Service excellent and the set up was as good as it could be under the circumstances. Purchased donuts after for my grandchildren and they loved them.

Had a lovely meal, staff very professional and polite. Good atmosphere.
Menu has changed use to enjoy the fish dishes and felt not so much choice. Saying that what l did have was good and plan to go back next week

Happy to recommend. Just be aware currently if book a table online the time is limited to 90 minutes. There are tables outside that are 'first-come-first-served'.

Tables were all socially distanced apart, cleanliness and government guidelines adhered to. Nice relaxed atmophere still, food was good, hot and large portions. Service all very friendly and efficient. I would definitely recommend it if anyone wanted to have a meal where you can just catch up and enjoy your time in a different place. Surroounding outdoors space was picturesque lovely place to visit in the present weather. Parking and access outside and to the marquee all very well situated.

Only bottle 3bs beer and never got all the bottle as asked for a shandy. What happened to the rest? We all 4 of us Ordered the carvery but given child size plate and serving but charged for adults meal, until we questioned the server. The coffee we ordered was poor, 3 of us had the mocha which was no better than my machine I use at home. We left disappointed and hungry so got ourselves doughnuts from the mobile unit outside. We felt we needed to rush as queuing for the carvery too time with takeaway customers also queuing.

We were so excited to be finally able to come due Sunday lunch and you didn’t disappoint. Delicious and very reasonable for all the food. Thank you and we hope to visit again soon

Had to send 2 out of 3 meals back. Service was ok but they didn’t seem too bothered about the meals etc

Very good service but our Chips looked like they were very brown and dry. Overall very good

Will definitely go back, easy to use app for ordering and food was great.
