With beautiful surroundings, and a stylish interior, The Salisbury Arms in Edinburgh is a classic meets modern pub, a perfect setting for any occasion. Our chefs take pride in preparing fresh, delicious tasting food using the finest ingredients. Signature dishes include spit-roasted chicken with lemon & garlic confit, slow cooked pork belly with seared scallops, salmon supreme served with thyme-roasted butternut squash, and our home-made British beef burger. We were really looking foreward to our visit at the Salisbury Arms. Unfortunately 3 out of 4 main courses were missing the sauces... I had to search for a waiter and by the time they arrived one of us hat already finished and the two other plates were cold. Not a very pleasant Dinner.

We ate at the Salisbury Arms on our first day in Scotland! What a great welcome meal we had - beautiful ambiance, excellent food and great service! I highly recommend this restaurant!

The Salisbury Arms ist ein sehr schönes Restaurant mit sehr netter und flotter Bedienung. Die Umgebung ist toll und man fühlt sich sofort wohl.

Went to Salisbury Arms for my wife’s birthday, family of 4 (2 adults, 2 young kids). Food was excellent, surroundings and upkeep also excellent for a pub so close to city centre. All in all cannot fault anything really, a little more expensive than other places we go more regularly but the food and the place itself were more than worth it - only suggestion is a little more coffee liqueur in the Tiramisu please as it got lost in mascarpone and cream, but that’s personal preference! Will definitely be back in the future!!

My wife and I went there for dinner. When it was time to order, the waitress in reply to my wife’s request said “I am so sorry, but that it the only thing on the menu which we are out of”. She made another selection. I ordered, and the waitress upon entering my (different) request into her IPad gave me the same reply! This was 6 pm on. Friday night, not the very end of the weekend. I nicely conveyed my displeasure and ordered another selection. For the balance of the night, the service was slow - - I am guessing because I complained. Stay away!

Early evening dining at the Salisbury. Food was tasty. As the place got busier service got slower, but very pleasant staff. A bit on the dear side for a gastro pub, (£80 for 2 courses, wine and two Irish coffees) but will certainly return.
