   Pub food. Heavy but very well done. The guys running the show—I think the server and the manager?—were delightful. This place has history!

   Friendly atmosphere service was prompt although the drinks ordered at the table were forgotten and we had to remind the waitress. Food was nice and tasty and beer as always very drinkable. We had a nice time.

   Great service ! The waiters were lovely ! Really good food ! Especially the sticky toffee pudding which was amazing !

   The restaurant is quite noisy at times. I thought the ploughman’s had too much pickled/chutney items it would have been nicer to have, say, some coleslaw or sliced tomato instead of one of the pickles. Also, the bread was very ordinary, I expected something with a bit more texture or at least a choice of wholemeal/granary. The ham was very tasty but was like potted ham, not slices which you would normally have with a ploughman’s. excellent chips though!

   I found the food terribly underwhelming and overpriced. A friend from abroad was visiting and we decided to take her for a traditional Sunday Roast and we regretted not having gone to any other of the lovely Bath pubs who serve delicious food for the same amount of money, if not less.

   Bath Ales pub offering there full range of quality beers. The food is spot on. Not an extensive menu as it's only a small place, that said there's all of the gastro-pub favourites on offer, so there should be something for everyone. We particularly like the burgers which are made from quality ingredients and taste superb. So dirty burger and a pint of Gem, there's no where finer!

    Wonderful food and service! A hidden gem we were glad to stumble upon. Sunday lunch was great - highly recommend.
