My salad with shrimp was delightful, the blueberry pancakes (3) are awesome. We love the safari decor. If it's nice weather, be sure to eat out on their patio.
Had a wonderful dinner with my family. Service was great too.
Although we had a reservation thru OpenTable, we still had to wait to be seated and served due to shortage of wait staff.?! All in all it took over an hour before we were served our food…and most of us (4 out of 5) ordered salads! The bartender lady did a great job in keeping our drinks filled and apologizing for the slow food service.
Wouldn’t rush to go back there!
We love the atmosphere and the delicious food. Highly recommend
We love this place and have been many times for lunch and dinner just a good go to spot. Host who sat us who appeared to just be filling in was not friendly at all which was unusual for this staff. Waiter was great and lunch was consistent
Perfect for the family
Great food, service, and atmosphere! We visit every time we come to town! 100% recommend
Delicious with a great view, only issue was my pizza crust was burnt on one whole side
We tried this new restaurant and had an amazing time. We even got to see animals in the zoo. Very clean, servers very knowledgeable and food came fast and very good. I mean very good. Awesome that we could make reservations too!!
Went for Sunday brunch. The service was impeccable. Prices were fair. My only complaint was that the hollandaise sauce was not a true hollandaise. Other than that, I would definitely go back and recommend it to others.
Yep other couples joins us. Server was greAt, Kobe looking out at the zoo but didn’t see any animals
.Girsffe had gone nite nite
The looks of the restaurant were great. Nice bar area. We were looking forward to a nice meal but were disappointed. While the food was served hot and presented well the pizza tasted as though it had been frozen and seafood pasta was just average.
Our waitress was excellent ! So sorry I don’t remember her name
David was our server and he was very attentive. A female server nearby had so much perfume it would make your eyes burn every time she walked by. The seafood pasta sauce was good but not a lot of seafood. Google maps has a problem finding the location and we had to call the restaurant for directions. Overall it is a good family restaurant.
Loved having dinner at the zoo and watching the giraffes while we ate. Food was great and I really liked being able to make a reservation. Well done. Service was good, too!
We love visiting Safari Club. We've made it a tradition to end our vacation eating a nice dinner there and they never disappoint. Sierra(our waitress) was so sweet. We will return August 2022 and maybe December 2022. 🤞
Food was below average. Service was good. Don’t sit outside unless you want your food eaten by an army of flies.
It was 65th birthday celebration and it was fabricated dining at Safari. Everyone in the family enjoyed their meal! Prices are moderate and portions are very fair. We will be back! The bday Key Lime pie was delicious! Thanks 😊
Mahi tacos and salad duo. Both were good. Server Stephanie H -- outstanding.
Interesting ambiance and friendly waitstaff. We got several appetizers - fried goat cheese, fried broccoli florets, and chicken satay. The fried goat cheese was tasty, the broccoli florets were really heavy with a fried, greasy taste. Chicken satay was fine. I got the dinner special - trout, fingerling potatoes and broccolini. It really didn’t have much flavor. My husband loved his burger. Would I return? Probably not.
First off, so glad to see they take reservations! The decor and atmosphere is excellent.
Our server was delightful. However, it took forever to get out drinks. I think, like most establishments due to COVID, they don't have enough employees.
Our appetizers came quickly. The goat cheese with a fig dip was very good. The Korean broccoli needed a sauce either on it or a dipping sauce. The first few bites were fine but then they became boring. One of us got a half salad. Nothing unusual about it except they offered a variety of homemade and unusual dressings. She got the pecan vinaigrette which she enjoyed. The other the bacon jam hamburger. He said it was just okay. I got the wood fire chicken breast with broccolini & fingerling potatoes. The chicken was juicy but bland, the broccolini was very good but the potatoes needed seasoning. I am a big potato lover but didn't like these at all. For dessert, the server talked up the caramel cheesecake. It was nothing to write home about! However, the thin pastry layered with chocolate pudding was very good. In summary, I will come back but try a different entree.
Had a great experience. Our first time dining here. We will definitely be back.
The three of you all enjoyed our dinner. I had trout almandine with risotto and fresh vegetables. My husband had shrimp tacos, our friend had fried shrimp. We loitering.
They are understaffed so we had to wait about 20 min even though we had a reservation. Bar service was terrible- 30 minutes for a drink. But the food service from Chris was fantastic! Our dinner was delicious! Crispy Goat Cheese was a standout. Grandma’s salad with roasted pecan vinaigrette, Seafood Pasta and Wood Grilled Shrimp were all very good as well. The decor is really amazing. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely return. Only issue was the bar which they need to fix.
We ate here on vacation with our two teenage daughters. The ambience is really cool! Service was good. Food was also good. Menu is somewhat limited, but we all found something we liked. It was great to be able make reservations instead of waiting an hour or two at one of the restaurants on the main strip. Highly recommended hidden gem!
We ate at the Safari Club for our last night of our beach trip. The main reason we choose here is that we could get reservations! Some of our family had waited 2+ hours at other places! The zoo was closed. We tried to sit outside but kids & ladies felt it was too hot. Also, we could only see 1monkey from pretty far distance. Was not very crowded so service was prompt & good. Has a full bar and drinks were good. Food selection was actually nicely varied & quite good. Kids had the usual pizza, burgers & chicken fingers. Adults had crab cakes, seafood pasta, & fresh catch (blackened grilled grouper), and all was good.
The Safari Club is a hidden gem. Alway good food and great service. Please give this restaurant a try.
A hidden gem! No crowd, no wait- such a nice surprise for a Saturday night. I loved being able to make reservations which was why we chose to go here.
The food was delicious! Can’t wait to go back!
Great ambience. Wood fired pizza is incredible! Have been several times and it never disappoints
The fried broccoli was delicious. The beet burger and bacon jam cheeseburgers were also good. Our sever was awesome. We will visit again.
Excellent experience, will go again and again!! One of few places that takes reserved! I would have given all 5 stars, but our food was a little slow being served due to large party ahead of us!
This is a hidden gem in Gulf Shores. It sounds strange to say you're going to a restaurant at the zoo, but it really is a great one. In fact, it was the best food we had while we were there. We had reservations, but we didn't need them. We requested to sit in the Expedition Room, and we were the only ones in it, so it was really a private room. David was our waiter, and he was great.
Overall a good experience especially with kids! We did choose to eat outside and the flies were terrible so we had to eat quickly and left immediately.
Amazing food that surpassed all expectations, phenomenal service and experience, and we will DEFINITELY be back! The kids loved eating outside to see the animals even though the zoo was already closed... it was just a really awesome experience all around.
A surprising find in this area! Certified green restaurant. And right next to the zoo. Wonderful service and delicious food. Even a few organic wines to choose from. A little pricey, but worth it.
One of my favorite places! Great food and service every time!
Fun little place at the zoo. Safari decor is really cute. Our waitress was excellent! Food was good except my lemon risotto was way too lemony. Grilled shrimp was excellent and my husband’s seafood pasta was great. One restaurant that does not over do the salt which I greatly appreciate. All-in-all enjoyable visit. We’ll go back for sure.
Perfect place for an extended Gamily gathering with children
Our waitress last night (6-18-21) was great and so personable. She made our dining experience along with the food was wonderful. We will be back.
Our server Katie was amazing. She was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Food was excellent. It took quite a bit of time to get it after we ordered but it was worth the wait. We will definitely return!
