The Rux offers an elevated experience (and not just because we’re on the roof) with a healthy dose of southern sensibility. Here, refined meets unwind in a way that makes each visit feel special without getting stuffy. The Rux is a gorgeous, special occasion-worthy escape, even when that special occasion is “it’s Tuesday.” Feeling at home even while you’re being a little fancy is our sweet spot. This approachability coupled with an appreciation for the finer things is what sets us apart. We’re sneakers with a slip dress. Fried chicken and a French 75. Stylish? Extremely. Pretentious? Never. Negative experience. QR menu didn’t originally work. They did not have much of the beer and wine choices on the online menu. They activated the QR menu while we were there but it accessed the apparently outdated online drink menu. Amazingly they did not have a printed list or menu of what they actually had. After trying to order 2 wine and 1 beer selection they didn’t have, we left. My dining companion did have an express martini, which she said wasn’t very good. Really nice rooftop space, but it’s troubling that they can’t get the basics of an accurate drink menu right.

We made a reservation and received a confirmation, but when we arrived at The Rux, the door was locked. After knocking, someone eventually opened it, but acted irritated that we were there. I explained that we had a reservation, but the staff member dismissed it, claiming there were no reservations. When I tried to show the confirmation email, he showed no interest or concern. There was only one employee serving the entire area, which led to slow service. While the view was nice and the menu had a few unique options, the overall experience was disappointing. I wouldn't recommend this place to friends and don’t plan on returning.

Probably will not go back. Their menu is small bites which were good. We asked for a wine list which apparently they don't have, so you don't know what you are ordering and how much it costs. We are locals so know drink prices can be outrageous. They were. For $22/glass i still don't know what we got. Server was very confused about our questions and requests. It was very strange. Open table asked what we were celebrating, which was my husband's birthday, but I don't know why that is asked, as there was no acknowledgement.

We had a great time. Our server was excellent. Food was delicious. We were the only ones sitting outside for a good part of our stay and it was perfect.

We loved the salmon and cauliflower. The range of cocktails was also interesting and good. We would skip the donut butter cake next time
