We had a wonderful evening celebrating a birthday. Our server was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The food was outstanding-appetizer, entree and dessert.
We love the lobster rolls but are distressed by the price increases in the last year. Great service, high quality food and great atmosphere.
It was a good experience. We will be back!!
First, it's nice to park right in front of the restaurant. Cool vibe, wide open with booths along the walls. 2 tables were unavailable and covered in cloths due to a leaking ac unit, which I would imagine they will take care of quickly... Food was pretty good - enjoyed the mushroom ravioli special. $20 for a cosmo was a bit much. Menu has interesting mix of choices.
Our server was FANTASTIC. Her name is Stacy and one of the best servers I have had in awhile.
The food was so amazing!!! The service was super great and Lucas was very attentive without being over bearing. My only complaint would be it was extremely loud in there. Would definitely go back.
First, the environment was not what I was expecting. I expected something a little more quiet and luxurious. But it had more of a night club feel, loud music, led lights, very unexpected. The food, my steak wasn’t bad, I enjoyed it. Anything with lobster, bad. The lobster was very dry and bland. I wouldn’t go back and spend the money I did there. Would rather go to a different steakhouse. The service, phenomenal. Our server was amazing and everyone else, very friendly.
Our anniversary. We both ordered the Prime Rib cooked to medium temperature. It arrived barely warm and very rare. The beef was so tough it was difficult to cut with a steak knife and difficult to chew. We both could eat only a small portion of the prime rib.
Mediocre food. Inattentive servers. Long wait for drinks and food. Steak was not cooked as requested. Too many good alternatives to give this place a 2nd chance.
I had expected a more upscale experience. Was casual, not crowded at all, staff looked bored. Food was average.,
Service was accommodating.
Lobster rolls and spinach dip were delicious!
Overall our dinner experience was quite good. The Scottish Salmon was outstanding as were the jumbo shrimp wantons. My wife was a bit underwhelmed with the lemon-drop martini she ordered. I clearly needed more simple syrup, so we later ordered her a Rutledge collins which was just fine. We'll be back.
A hidden gem in Cool Springs. Love having dinner there!
Great food! Great atmosphere! I recommend for date night or weekend brunch.
Filet was incredible as was the pasta. Cocktails were top notch. Will definitely be back soon.
Nice menu selection, great food well prepared, and reasonable prices. The service was great even on a busy Saturday night.
Not a good value . Service was blasé . Ordered tomato basil soup . About 4 ounces of soup in a bowl that would hold a quart. It was lukewarm. Why do restaurants do this?
Entries took a long time to prepare and deliver .
One and done for us
It was a great first impression. Casual to business casual type environment. Very modern and comfortable. The food was very good and fresh with good all around friendly staff. Enjoyed our waitress Mallory with any questions we had and they made our anniversary very pleasant. Would recommend in a area like Franklin/Cool Springs where it’s hard to get good service and good food.
So, I was surprised how overpriced the Menu was and that the Food was no comparison to the Top Restaurants we have been trying to visit in the Nashville area since, relocating from Chicago and formerly Los Angeles.
I have to admit, the Restaurant is attractive and trendy in appearance but the Menu is overpriced for very poor quality food. It is definitely to a Maestros' or not even close to Ruth Chris Level of Pricing!!!!
The Prime Rib meat was Fatty as my husband was shocked! The Menu was all over the Map! No real direction or specialization for this restaurant or the Chef! Not sure what the Chef was known for or specialty havens to be, because the menu included Asian cuisine and rolls. Being Asian and with an Italian Spouse. I am quite critical of Rolls, Sushi and Sashimi especially if it isn't fresh or the Chef is a Sushi Chef. I will NOT recommend this restaurant for any FOODY since, number one the Price doesn't meet the Standards of TOP Notch Restaurants. Very Sad and disappointing!
I see why all the reviews are harsh on the Chef and the Restaurant! I don't see any redeeming quality for this restaurant and TOO Overpriced for mediocre meal prepared by mediocre Chef. I suggest you redo the Prices on the Menu and perhaps find a better Chef with real talent and a lover for Food!
My filet was excellent and had such a delicious taste. My only gripe was that the temperature in the restaurant was set at 55°!
Made Reservation. Arrived early. Sat us immediately. Menu has variety. Food was delicious. Service was attentive without overbearing.
Needed a refill of water during and after meal.
We had a group of 4 and had a very fun dinner. The food itself was not spectacular this evening, but we will return as Rutledge is a favorite of ours.
Always love the Rutledge. Staff is friendly and provides great service. Never had anything to eat that we didn’t like. I recommend the lobster roll or the filet!
Erin - thank you so much for the review. Glad you enjoy your experience every time. See you soon!
The salmon was fabulous.
Tanya, so glad you enjoyed our Salmon! Hope to see you back soon. Give the ahi tuna a try next time :)
Great service and great atmosphere!
Terrific food, friendly and efficient service. Well done
Had a party of five for brunch. Arrived and was the first table seated. Order was finally taken after 30 minutes. Other parties of at least 3 or more started to trickle in. Their orders and food was completed before our food ever arrived. Once the food finally arrived, close to 50 minutes after ordering, most was cold for some reason. The breading was falling off the “Nashville Hot Chicken Biscuits” and the Biscuits were cold and dry. Not sure what was going on, this was our first time here. The only thing quick was the check arriving.
Brunch menu was very minimal and the waffle was as good as as a continental breakfast at the Holiday Inn. Disappointed.
Food was amazing!! Service was outstanding!! Waiter very knowledgeable and friendly!! His recommendations were on point!! My filet and my girlfriend’s ribeye were cooked to perfection!!! We will be coming back!!
I had to pull a star for
Celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary.
Service was ok, but not outstanding. Somewhat slow.
Food price increases are rather startling.
Love the food. Will certainly return for those lobster roles.
Lots to love about this place. The look and feel is fantastic. BUT... I been 5 times now. For the price point I expect more. Better quality of food and better service. I had to send my plate back 2 different times for undercooked food. Ordered bourbon neat last two times I was there, and both times it was served in dirty glasses. I want this restaurant to succeed long term, but they will have to up their game.
Rutledge has been best happy hour in the area for a long time. That’s changed. Prices have nearly doubled. I won’t be back unless that changes. The server James was amazing.
My boyfriend and I had a great time here. The waitress was kind, and very attentive while also giving us plenty of space. The food was good, and the portions were perfect. Overall- would recommend!
The restaurant decor is nice. The menu offers a good selection of appetizers, entrees, and sides. Our server was attentive and timely. The only complaint I have is our food did not arrive hot. It was warm enough to eat but we prefer hot food.
This was my first visit to The Rutledge. Some friends and I were celebrating my sister's birthday and decided to come here for Brunch. We were seated at our reservation time with no wait which was a huge plus. The service was amazing and the food was great. My personal fave of the meal was the Rutledge Collins (a cocktail). I'm not a heavy drinker and this cocktail was no overpowering. It had the right balance of spirits and libations. The price was reasonable and everyone received a good portion of food for the price. This place is family friendly and the environment was not loud. I highly recommend The Rutledge!!! And lest I forget, our server was very knowledgeable and her recommendations were spot on! My menu picks were the steak rolls, the Rutledge Collins, the Skillet sweet roll, the spinach artichoke dip, the hot chicken and waffles, and the Classic Breakfast.
