Had supper there on Saturday night, great evening, and decided to hold a business dinner there. Sat in the bar, service was great as usual, drinks good and timely, food was very good, as always, and allowed us to talk and just the correct amount of interruption. Will definitely go back. Thank you Rutledge for being a locally owned restaurant in a sea of chains!

This was our first visit to this new venue for The Rutledge and we were mightily impressed! We were graciously greeted at the entrance and Rachel was assigned to our table. Rachel is one of the best servers we have ever had and a wonderful representative for this establishment! On future visits, we plan to always ask to be seated in her section. The other great surprise was the creative menu selections offered for both cocktails and dinner. We loved the food and also the joyous ambiance surrounding us. Definitely will return soon!

We arrived slightly before our reserved time & were seated promptly. Our server was polite & attentive. We had the spinach & artichoke dip & avocado deviled eggs for appetizers. They were generous servings, & there was plenty for the 4 of us. Our entrees were nicely prepared & presented. We had prime rib, ribeye steak, salmon, sushi, & soup, & all were good. We polished off our meal with berries & cream & apple pie a la mode which were large enough to split between 2 people. We had a pleasant dining experience, & we look forward to returning.

Celebrated first wedding anniversary & so glad we decided to try this place! The vibes of the restaurant were great. The server, Kim was wonderful & attentive. The food was amazing. The only thing I could think of we didn’t like is the dessert took nearly longer than our meal to get to the table, but Kim went above & beyond to continually check up on it. It was, however worth the wait time. We had avocado deviled eggs as an app, entrees were steak & lobster mac and mahi mahi with a rice cake topped with salsa. For dessert we had apple cobbler with ice cream. This place will definitely be a go-back spot for special occasions.

Rutledge has a good vibe. We’ve been there before but not for a while so we were happy to go again. The place wasn’t stuffed so the noise was not too bad. We could all talk together easily. Drinks; We ordered martini’s and Prosecco. Drinks were fair. The drinks were not super cold as they should be. Service; our server was sweet but stretched thin. She did a good job not exceptional but good. Food; we had the deviled aghast and steak rolls for apps. Very good. Chopped salad with salmon was good - the salad was presented great but the salmon was burned on one side. I didn’t really care but a disappointment that the kitchen sent it out. Lobster rolls were fair. Not super flavourful. Overall; the Rutledge is a good place to get dinner. It’s a little on the expensive side but the food is pretty good and the ambiance is modern and fun. Worth a visit.

The customer service was great. However, I ordered rare Prime Rib. It was not rare and the meat was very tough. I also got Brussel sprouts that seemed kind of burnt. My husband got the Ribeye steak and it was a very good cut of meat and his loaded potato was pretty good. I feel it was very overpriced for the quality of food we received.

I had the avocado toast. It was tasty and there was an egg on top of each piece of toast. More than enough to eat for me. The atmosphere is clean and neat. The seating offers privacy without being secluded.

Restaurant was fairly empty for a Saturday night. Service was decent, but a little slow. Food took a very long time to come out, and was cold by the time it arrived. The server apologized and offered to have it remade, but we had already been waiting for so long, I needed to eat immediately. I’ve been going here quite a lot for a long time, and the quality has unfortunately been steadily declining. Not sure if I’ll ever be back.

We were seated in the back room which had full, bright lights on. If we’d been in the main restaurant I think our experience may have been better. There were two larger tables seated in that room so it was very loud and we weren’t able to hear each other. The food was good but there wasn’t a wow factor in our experience for the price.

We’ve been here many times but this time was just mediocre. My husband ordered the ribeye and he loved it. My kids (adults) ordered the hamburgers, and they were very bloody. I ordered the filet with a loaded baked potato, and I hate to say it but the potato was the best thing on the plate. The steak just wasn’t that good. And if I’m paying $48, then it needs to be good.

We came to the Rutledge at the Franklin location, for our son’s birthday. Service: Over all the service was great. They made him feel special and acknowledged his special day. Food: we ordered the banh mi, pressed sushi, rib eye steaks, and lobster bisque. Banh mi: was mediocre at best, the dish should not be called banh mi as this was missing the essence of what a banh mi is. The veggies were not dressed with any type of seasoning, the shrimp was deep fried, the dish did not have Vietnamese food flavors. It’s more a po boy than it is a banh mi. The veggies and shrimp were placed on nan, and covered with what tasted like teriyaki sauce from a Japanese take away. Great dish, but should not be called Banh Mi. It was a disappointing banh mi, and would’ve been an ok po boy at best. Pressed sushi: tasted like it was pre-made and had been sitting in a refrigerator waiting to get served. The riced did not have adequate seasoning for sushi rice, it was served too cold, so the rice was hard. The kind of rice used was also questionable, it did not taste like the correct variety that’s typically used for sushi, or it was cooked with too little water. You will get better quality type sushi at a Japanese take away. Asian components of the dishes tasted as if the chef does not have adequate knowledge of what these dishes should truly be. They looked the pet but did not taste up to par. Rib eye: cooked perfectly. They were great. Lobster bisque: no lobster flavor. You could taste the alcohol from the white wine that was in the soup. As if the pan wasn’t hot enough when the white wine was used to deglaze it. It tasted like cream with white wine, but with the color of lobster bisque. Over all, the service was great, food is below mediocre and not really good value for money. We did not say anything to our server because we did not want to ruin our son’s birthday experience. Overall just ok.

Third time here and it never disappoints. Service was phenomenal and the food was amazing. One suggestion: please consider making the lobster mac an appetizer. It's way too good to be relegated to just an add-on item.

The atmosphere was nice; modern and chill. We first sat at the bar for some drinks; which were really good. At our table we ordered food it was all great. We had the artichoke dip and lobster appetizers to start which were both fantastic. We split the spicy pasta dish which was also very delicious, but when we were ready to order dessert our waiter took about 15 minutes to return to our table so we just paid the bill and left. Overall I would recommend the restaurant.

While booking this restaurant we were charged $25 in case we didn't show up. We showed up 10 minutes early and were seated. Our waitress seemed quite nice at first ordered our drinks but since we knew what we were going to eat because we read the menu online we just ordered right away. It seems like about 8 minutes and our food was there I was quite surprised. Unfortunately there was no knife available for my prime rib. We were able to flag our waitress down and expressed that I needed a steak knife and some horseradish. A very easy task unfortunately she started taking order from the 6th people at the table beside us. This is the first time I have ever walk to the kitchen to get a knife because she still with the table beside us even though I had asked for the knife first. Halfway through our meal she asked us if we were finished and put the bill on the table and said don't worry pay it when you want. I realize it's hard to find good help but you have to train your staff before you let them deal with customers.the menu on the open table site pricewise was much different than the in house one. Once getting home we found out that we were charged an extra $25 because apparently we didn't show up at the restaurant. Will not be going back here . very disappointing

Ordered the hash prime rib dish during brunch and it was mainly all potatoes and not much meat all. The dish was full of flavor, but was definitely disappointed with the overflow of potatoes.

Food was absolutely delicious and our waiter was probably one of the most efficient and personable and knowledgeable we’ve ever had. Our son suffers w/Celiac disease and our waiter couldn’t have been more accommodating and genuinely concerned w/his dietary needs.

The Rutledge menu is varied enough to eat both lunch and dinner. Lobster rolls are especially good. Their salads are made with fresh ingredients and have a good flavor. Servers are attentive and friendly. You are not made to feel you've been seated too long. For the price, I feel it's one of the best menus around.

The coffee was cold and stale we notify the server he took it and heated the same cup of coffee and brought it back. We requested a fresh cup and he brought us fresh brewed coffee right away. The food was cold and the potatoes were burned. The restaurant is very well decorated and clean.

Our server was Gabriel. He did a wonderful job. He was there when we needed and left us to our conversation otherwise. We had lobster bite starter, shrimp pasta and fresh chopped salad. All were properly prepared and the presentation was very good. I recommend The Rutledge as a place to be seen and dine.

Service was great. Charcuterie a bit overpriced as well as Lobster Roll lite. One roll cut into two pieces and fries for $30 was a bit high. Very quiet on a Sunday at lunch I assume due to rain.

Hello, when we arrived, greeting was OK, and the table they took us to. We asked if we could change and pointed to the table and there was no real. Yes that’s fine no problem it was just an OK and walked us over there. Also, the leather booth that they put us in was torn up, this was the original booth. Our server was very lackluster and couldn’t be bothered with us – she never delivered any of our food which is OK. I understand about having runners but when we had to send back the steak because it was so raw she didn’t even come and talk to us about it. the food just felt old and tired to be honest. We had the sushi rolls which was a day old. I mentioned already that we had to send a state back and actually that turned out to be just as well because the potato that came back with it was hot versus the original one that was ice cold. We were really disappointed as pictures that we had seen of the restaurant looked so different than the actual. We will not be returning.

We had great service. Good wine selection and very good menu. Food was timely and tasted delicious. It was hard to enjoy our meal even tho the vid was good because the AC was not working which put a severe damper on the dining experience … it’s bad when even the staff is complaining about how hot the restaurant was. Overall the food was good but the uncomfortable temperature was disappointing.

Always a great dining experience going to the Rutledge. We've had the avocado deviled eggs and the spinach/artichoke dip so far as appetizers and loved them both. We always stick to the same mahi tacos because they're really good, which is what we did again this time, but will likely expand our tastes a bit to try something new on our next visit. Whatever you get though, you won't be disappointed.

We were in Franklin for a few nights and felt like a steak. We hit the jackpot here at the Rutledge. Everything we ordered was above par and we simply could not decide which food we enjoyed most. Kudos to our waitress as well- attentive and not overbearing. You local folk need to stop in for a wonderful meal.

The space is very nice and the food was good, but the service was quite poor. Which is a shame, because I really wanted to like this place. We were seated promptly for our reservation, and the overall vibe of the restaurant is quite good. It was almost full when we arrived, but never felt crowded. The noise was not bad-lively but not annoyingly loud. We received drinks in a reasonable time and placed appetizer order. That’s when things started downhill. The waiter disappeared for twenty minutes. When someone else brought the appetizers, they neglected to bring any small share plates. Which wouldn’t have been a problem, but another 20 minutes went by before a staff member came close to the table. By the time the waiter showed back up to take our entree order, it had been quite a long time. By this point, the restaurant was only 20% full. So I couldn’t chalk it up to being busy. We both ordered steaks. When they arrived, no steak knives were brought. It took another ten minutes for someone to walk by (not our waiter) to ask for a knife to cut the steaks. In the meantime, eating shared sides(with no serving utensils). When we finally received a utensil to cut the steaks, we found them cooked properly and quite tasty. Dessert was also very good. Overall, it seems like the kitchen has it together, but the house staff are very underwhelming. Restrooms were a disaster. Waitstaff is either poorly trained or poorly managed. For $300 for two people (only two drinks ordered total) I don’t think it is unreasonable to expect more. The folks preparing the food deserve better front of house delivery. It’s a beautiful space, and maybe we experienced an off night. But our impression was one of gross mismanagement.
