Excellent dining experience! Nice ambiance, excellent food, convenient location!
Excellent service. Delicious Food. Relaxed modern vibe. Will be eating there often.
Just too loud. Service was slow. Steak wasn’t cooked the way I ordered.
I really enjoyed this place. The food is great as is the ambience. Filet Mignon Sushi Roll, Skillet Corn Bread, Lobster Roll, Thai salad—all were excellent. Varied and creative selection of cocktails as well. The break from the omnipresent masks was also so refreshing!
I understand counties and now restaurants, I guess, make their own rules but no one not even the food servers were wearing masks and it is extremely unsettling. There were absolutely no heads up until we got there and although the restaurant was not at full capacity I was quite surprised the establishment is not following best practices. Very disappointed. Did decide to stay and try it out but not overly impressed.
Food was okay but service was a disappointment. Both me and my husband rarely drink alcohol. As soon as the server realized we were not ordering any alcoholic beverages he treated us very poorly. I don’t think we will ever go back to the restaurant.
Well...we wanted to love it! We recently moved here and had friends visiting from out of town and figured it would be a good time to try The Rutledge. Restaurant is really pretty, I love that the staff is not wearing masks because I’m tired of feeling like I live in China all the time. Our waiter was AMAZING. We started with the cornbread and it was good. My friend got the smoky old fashion drink and it literally tasted like you were drinking a campfire. I could smell it across the table and it was really awful. He ended up trading it for a regular old fashion which he said was good. My friend and I got apple pie martinis and those are decent. My husband got a burger, his food was good, I got the French dip which I thought was good. My friend got the lobster roll and it was so incredibly fishy that she could only eat one of the rolls. Her and her husband had planned to share 2 dishes and he wouldn’t even touch the lobster roll because the fish stench was so strong. The waiter ended up taking it off the bill and both he and the chef agreed that it was way too fishy but he assured us that the lobster roll is not usually like that. We closed with the apple cobbler and it was good. We probably would not give it another try which is a bummer because we really wanted to have a great experience and I really loved the restaurant and waiter.
The servers nor bartenders were wearing masks and it did not appear there was 50% capacity or social distance spacing.
I received no notice when making the reservation that this was the case, and while i understand that williamson county removed the mask ban, I do wish i was notified prior to arriving that this was the situation i was walking in to.
Waiter seemed to not know what was going on, was friendly but clueless about the menu. Hovered over us without a mask about 2 feet away, no one wears a mask here. Will not come back for this reason, they just don't care about us or their staff.
Service was excellent. All our food was delicious. One person in our party ordered a steak medium rare and it came out medium well. Our server apologized and immediately offered to have a new steak prepared. It happens and I give our server high marks for how she handled it. I deducted 1 star because the kitchen didn't expedite the steak. It took about 15 min and a 1" medium rare steak should only take about 6 min. Other than that, excellent experience and I would dine here again.
Priced way too high for the food. Modern ambience but service was just average. Spent $200 for 3 - just not worth it. Plenty of other options nearby.
food was great, service was awesome, great menu and great atmosphere
Amazing way to get the Nashville vibe without leavingFranklin! Food was spectacular. The sushi was excellent, which is not the norm for most non sushi restaurants. All of the starters were absolutely delicious. We would love to experience the bar-side next time. Make a reservation if you are going on a weekend!
Service stinks too loud
Service was great!
Brussel sprouts and rotisserie chicken were very good.
Steak rolls were not our favorite.
We will definitely be back!
My wife and I were celebrating our 20th anniversary of our first date and came upon The Rutledge on Open Table. A very good find
No masks and no social distancing. Food was excellent.
Great atmosphere and very good food. Love that they did not require masks - what a breath of fresh air. ;-)
What a lovely place to sit back and have an evening with a friend or an earnest business dinner. The food, the service was 5 star! The comfort, the ambiance and the atmosphere is so calm and so chill. The Rutledge is a top ten favorite for Williamson County. Highly recommend.
Great drinks and cool atmosphere
The Rutledge is rapidly becoming our "go to" place in Cool Springs for an impromptu meal with family and/or friends. we have experienced consistently good meals across the menu served by helpful and pleasant waiters, waitresses and bar tenders. With their compact but diverse menu, reasonably priced wines and interesting cocktails why would anyone consider one of the many chain restaurants that are all too prevalent these days.
We didn't have the best server but the food was delicious. They don't require a mask and the servers and hostesses did not wear masks and boy was that refreshing!!!
Very cool vibe with outstanding service and great food!
I've enjoyed having dinner at the Rutledge in the past and hope to in the future. I was so disappointed to see that the staff exercised total disregard related to the fact we are in the midst of a pandemic. No masks. No social distancing. Guests were not required to wear masks to be seated. Guests were seated at tables with no safe distance spacing. The restaurant was at nearly 100% capacity. We all want to get back to normal, but this type of management will not allow it to occur. I will not be back anytime soon.
First time here and it was AWESOME! Serve was fantastic, food was excellent and very fairly priced. The decor and atmosphere was trendy and fun. We did brunch and I can’t wait to try dinner. Will for sure be back!
Service was exceptional.
It concerned me that no one was wearing a mask coming and going. Not even the staff!! Still in the middle of a pandemic with cases rising! The food is ok, very large quantities, but not in line with the price. Too many good options for me to go back.
Nice setting and well designed modern space. Food was mediocre at best and our service was poor. Ordered sushi followed by hot food and everything came at once - not great. When it did come it was poorly prepared and not worth the price sorry to say. It’s a fun place for happy hour but if your looking for fine dining in Franklin there are better options.
Great food and great service. Told us happy anniversary when we walked in
Birthday dinner for my wife. We had a great time and the food and service were phenomenal.
Great experience. The service was great and it was the perfect ambiance.
We had an amazing date night at the Rutledge. While the noise level was a bit above what we were used it, it worked out wonderfully because we were able to have a private conversation at our table without having to raise out voices. This is where we will be having out date nights from now on!
I wish I had been told when making the reservation that there was a Derby party taking place that evening. The restaurant was packed and so noisy we couldn't hear each other. The hostess put us at a table closest to the packed bar. When I asked to sit somewhere further away from the crowded bar, the hostess said it would be a lot of trouble to change it. She said she would have to go into the computer and switch servers.
The food was mediocre at best. We spent $80 on appetizers, desserts, and non-alcoholic drinks. The appetizers were nothing special, but the desserts were very good. Also, the service was excellent. However, that is not enough to make me want to come back. I would have rated my experience one star (poor) had it not been for the service and dessert.
Excellent, we dined here twice in one week!
Great service! Excellent food and ambiance.
Originally we tried to reserve 2 bar tables for a party of 6. Found out they don’t reserve bar tables, and suggested we sit on the porch. That is where we ended up and it was wonderful! The porch is more like a sunroom. The chairs are very comfy and we all, loved the setting. The food was superb! I had the roasted chicken with glazed Brussels. My husband loves their French dip sandwich and it great, as always. Everyone had something different and everyone loved their choice. The wait staff is very professional and took great care of us. We are thrilled The Rutledge opened and we will do our part to keep it open! Highly recommend.
With few people in the restaurant it took 15 minutes before a server offered to take a drink order. The music was too loud for my tastes. The food however was excellent!
The food was decent. Service was subpar. The noise level is off the charts. It's just too loud to enjoy.
Excellent. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was great. Service was quick and efficient.
