Took parents for brunch. Waiter - Chris - was friendly and helpful with the menu. Nice views. Had lobster avocado toast. It was mostly avocado and hardly any lobster - better off with the lobster roll. Sorry - no photos
Brought business professionals to lunch. They had never been here before. Were very impressed.
Birthday lunch. Treated us grandly
McCloones never disappoints and Rum Runner is no exception. Drinks were great, food was great and service was top notch. The new facility is beautiful and the views are amazing. We sat outside, everything was clean, they were very efficient and Gianna our server was amazing.
I have passed this restaurant so many times and thought about the lovely view I would get from going there. Finally went and it was a great place! The view is outstanding and most of the seating is by the window. The lunch menu was great and I really enjoyed my beet salad with steak! Great place to go with friends...probably better off season since the parking lot always looks full from June to September!
Our 35 wedding anniversary dinner and it was awesome there. Will visit again and will recommend to others.
The steak sandwich, which was supposed to be served on sourdough, was served on what was essentially Wonder Bread. The fish and chips special was considerably overcooked. Which might explain why the food took so long to prepare. We’ve had good experiences here before, but this was rather disappointing, especially for an in crowded Sunday brunch.
We like the restaurant & usually come at least every couple of months. The food was good & also the drinks. Our waitress was sweet & on top of things.
Food and service good
Weekends are way to noisy .. acoustics bad in the side room.
Great food! Great service!! Amazing views. Great for a date or a family meal!!!
Dining at the Rum Runner was extremely pleasant; It was one of the very few times we have eaten outdoors in the last 13 months so it was a wonderful treat.
It was a lovely dinner
Had dinner with family for my Mom’s birthday. Beautiful restaurant, socially distanced, excellent food/wine & attentive waitress. They even wrote Happy Birthday on my Mom’s surprise birthday cake.
We had a wonderful meal in a beautiful setting. Staff was very accommodating when we asked to switch tables.
The atmosphere and view were absolutely beautiful. From the moment we pulled up, the valet attendants were super polite and kind. Walked in to the hostess stand, greeted right away and lead to our fabulous table overlooking the water. It was a stunning view! Our waitress was absolutely lovely, friendly, and let us take our time looking over the menu. We had ordered appetizers, drinks, salad, and our meals. Everything was delicious and big portions. We will most definitely be back again! Thank you Rum Runner for making our Easter dinner so memorable!
It was a perfect day went on Easter, seating was perfect and the specials were delicious! Our waiter was exceptional friendly and knowledgeable about all items on menu including drinks..... will definitely be going back!
Food is delicious! View on the bayside is fabulous.
The only issue was when we walked in their was no one at the podium. We waited or a while and I finally had to asked a staff worker as they just walked by if there a hostess.. No one directed us that we had to go upstairs.
This was our first time back since the restaurant was rebuilt after Sandy. The food is great. The New England Clam Chowder is nicely seasoned and the crab cakes were packed with fresh crab meat. The staff is always friendly and attentive. Covid safety is being maintained but does not impact the experience.
The view was gorgeous, the service & staff were on point and despite it being a holiday, the kitchen was more then accommodating w a menu substitution for my elderly mother. That, to me, exemplified their customer service standards and made our experience that much better!
Our Easter brunch was wonderful - great food and great drinks and great service - we all had a wonderful time - next year we will be back for our traditional family Easter brunch
Long wait with reservation but great when we were seated.
Quite an enjoyable experience!
Lovely location. Not sure how it would be during peak summer times. Enjoyed the good food plus the server was very sweet.
Our waitress Kayla was phenomenal. The food and drink delicious.
Very pleasant afternoon on a rainy day
Went for my mom’s birthday; our server Sean/Shawn (unsure of spelling) was fantastic! The food was fresh and delicious. The view is always a plus and the seating is very spacious. Going back in a month or two for my aunt’s 60th birthday party!
Food was terrible.
Disappointed in that there were no fire heaters to keep us warm
The best waitress I have ever had! She was amazing! Fantastic overall experience. Food was phenomenal!
We had a wonderful birthday celebration with fantastic service and delicious food (as always). Highly recommend!
It was perfect.
Great place for views, bites and drinks.
French onion soup was great. Unfortunately it was down hill from there. Waited forever for the main course which was tasteless and skimpy. Not worth the price. I’ve had better in chain restaurants. Won’t be back.
We always enjoy our meals and the service at Rum Runner. We had the Lobster Flatbread appetizer which was absolutely amazing as well as the Swordfish and Cod Entrees.
Our meals were just outstanding. Everything cooked to perfection.
We dined on a quiet Tuesday evening and sat outside in honor of the pandemic. It was cool, but the views of the rivers and the sunset were well worth it. Our servers were prompt, professional and friendly. The food was outstanding. We will go back!
I moved here last year and have been wanting to try this place given the fabulous location. It was so disappointing. The food was terrible. My daughter ordered the French Onion soup. It was water with a splash of bouillon. My son is a sous chef in the city and was amazed they served that soup. My son had the swordfish- which was covered in what looked like goulash (they called it puree). I don't know why they smothered what could have been a very nice piece of fish. I had the cod tacos. The tortilla was so dry it was hard in spots- like it had been microwaved. There was barely any filling in the tacos. The one positive about this experience was our server. She was so prompt, friendly and attentive. I wish I got her name so I could thank her.
Great place to meet and enjoy view of the river.
