   On previous occasion there was an unacceptable delay before the vegetables arrived and a further delay before sauces appeared to accompany roast. We provided feedback regarding this. On this occasion we requested sauces when ordering but the same occurred. I estimate the plated meat was on the table 5 minutes before the vegetables arrived but still no sauces. Apple sauce arrived but no horseradish as they had ‘run out’. A little initiative would have sent someone 100 metres to Aldi to rectify the situation! A great shame as this is a lovely restaurant and the food is generally excellent.

   Meal and service were great but when we were asked to relinquish our table ahead of the next booking, we had nowhere to sit to continue our conversation. All tables were reserved for diners and we didn’t want to sit at the bar as we had some sensitive things to discuss, which we didn’t want to share with strangers at the bar. There was an outside cabin but it was freezing cold. The waitress lit the fire to try and make it more comfortable but sadly we ended up ending our catchup early as it was too cold.

   Been a regular visitor and always had a very good meal. Unfortunately this visit couldn't have been more different. Me and my wife chose a selection of tapas and we couldn't fault these, they were all excellent. My son had a ribeye steak (medium, rare), something he always picks when we go there, and normally this is cooked well with an excellent taste. However on this occasion it was tasteless, undercooked with an abundance of fat and grissle, my son never complains, but he couldn't eat the steak and we spoke to the floor supervisor who took it away. On his return he told us that the chef had stated their was nothing wrong with the ribeye, that is how they are! Shocked by this statement our son was left with no food and shared the remains of our Tapas. We then chose our desserts. A brownie sundae and a white chocolate malteser mousse. The Sundae was served in a small tumbler glass. No ice cream, just a blob of cream and a small brownie chopped up with some chocolate sauce. Very disappointing for the £6.95 price tag. The white mousse seemed a better portion but on taking a mouthful my wife found a long black hair in it. None of us have black long hair so it had clearly come from the kitchen. This was dismissed as a non occurrence, again shocked by the lack of concern for the customer experience! When the bill arrived we were still being charged for the steak £34, but the mousse had been removed. Perhaps I sould have felt grateful for this gesture. I asked to speak with the Manager and the Supervisor advised that as the chef had said there was nothing wrong with the steak it would not be removed from the bill, I responded by asking, why it had not been returned to the table, I could have taken it home for my dog. Eventually they huffed and removed from our bill. I will not be returning to this restaurant and I will warn family and friends of our experience and lack of concern for customer satisfaction.
