The wait staff were very attentive, friendly and positive. Nothing was too much trouble. The steak special was excellent. Highly recommended

I took my overseas visitor for lunch but we left because my friend wanted a cappuccino and this lovely restaurant doesn't do coffee!!!!!!!! What restaurant doesn't serve coffee???? We went across the road and had a lovely lunch and cappuccino for half the price!!!!!!

By Paddington pub food standards the menu was ordinary as was the food. Boring and unimaginative. Just not worth the money. The service was great.

Service and food here was excellent. I booked this last minute and have never been here before purchasing, so it was a nice surprise! Next time I'm in Sydney I'm going to come back again for sure!

Met up with family for dinner, the restaurant was nice with lots of natural light. Good food at a reasonable price. Our waitress was lovely and did a good job. The bar area could use a revamp, looking very tired.

The Royal is a longtime favourite of mine. Always up to scratch with new offerings, stylish surroundings and party atmosphere. I don't usually book but this time I did - it may not have been necessary actually. But get in early if you want to sit on the balcony - it's worth it!
