As the timber and stone were carried away from Drouin’s first sawmills and quarry, it opened up opportunity for early farmers to begin dairy farming. The Royal Hotel Drouin was open before Drouin’s homes even had electricity! While Drouin may have changed, from a small settlement of railway workers and farmers, to now over 11,800 people… the Royal Hotel Drouin still offers fantastic country service and the atmosphere of a truly great local pub… 120 years and counting! We’ve just made some exciting changes to our menu, refurbished our bottle shop and renovations on our accommodation are underway, so keep your eyes glued!

The food was exceptional. I would recommend this Hotel to my Friends. Good Food and Good atmosphere always helps. Its easy to book and if you get there early you get a peaceful time . You can have a more up beat experience if you arrived later. Overall worthwhile the drive. Your staff member though needs some training in customer service a bit abrupt but after some ice breaking all was fine.

The meals were delicious and the portion sizes where huge. The Gnocchi was amazing so much flavour and the parma was massive my daughter could't eat it all and she is a big eater. Overall had a great meal.

Lovely place, great pub meals, nice cosy dinning atmosphere and I heard the rooms were very comfortable also as friends stayed as we had a function, will definitely be back !!

Food took quite some time to come out and the mixed grill was super dry and not at all good to eat. Rather disappointed in it for $40

Came for a work lunch meeting, the food was incredible, the chef is amazing! It was quiet enough for us to hold our meeting over the table in the bistro. Staff were friendly. The entire building looks to have been recently renovated, whoever worked on the interiors has done a fantastic job! I will be sure to come back for both work and social events.
