Salty food and busy waitresses
Went here to catch up with my sister and loved it! The waiter was very personable and the food was delicious!
Food was good. Relaxing atmosphere but service was a little slow.
I'll start by saying the waitress told us she's usually the hostess but I think someone called out so she was filling in the role. We waited 20 minutes before she took our drink order but the food came out in a timely manner. The appetizer was put in wrong though so it came 2 minutes before the food. That was ok though. The waitress was really overwhelmed and had a lot of tables, so we spent a lot of time waiting for refills then the check and pay it. Overall the food was excellent, and I assume on a normal day the service would be too. Our server was really nice and it seemed like it wasn't her fault for the lack of good service. She was trying! I'll be back if I'm ever in the neighborhood though because the food and drinks were delicious.
Good food, excellent service, Spotluck deal a bonus!
Although it took longer than we'd liked for our food to get out, and the two servers upstairs seemed to be a bit overwhelmed, the experience was a good one. There was an issue related to the description of the Waffle Monte Cristo on the menu not matching what is actually served (no mention of egg on the menu, even though it contains a large omelet, and the "served with fruit" apparently only happens if you ask for it), but the servers replaced it and were very accommodating in response.
The food and drink was very tasty and plentiful! Great service and atmosphere!
I loved the food! I’m a greedy troll so I love large portions. They did not skimp a bit so if you love food and portions like I do... this is the spot! I got the French toast, hash potatoes, and grits. Everything was delicious!
We sat upstairs because we asked for a quiet table and it was perfect. The food is always very good but when asked for the check we did not receive the Wednesday special on the burgers and beers as advertised on their website. The made an adjustment but did not seem overly apologetic and did not discount the beers. He didn’t want to hear us so we paid and left. Next time if there is one we will be sure to remind the wait staff if there daily specials.
Service was prompt and brunch menu was very creative. My chicken buffalo cornbread concoction was delicious. We forget about this place with the many restaurants in Baltimore, but it should be on everyone's radar screen. Truly a gem!
Made 7:15 reservations, arrived about 10 mins early and were told it would be a few minutes. At 7:30 after seeing multiple parties be seated, inquired with the same hostess who we had previously spoken with. She asked who we had talked to, as she did not have us checked in...ummm, you. Eventually seated at 7:40, took another 10 minutes for the server to bring us water. Overall, food and drink were good but would not return.
Loved everything about this restaurant. Food and service were great. Went for Restaurant Week.
Parking is the worst! Drove around for 15 minutes, finally parked about 4 blocks away. The bartender/ host seemed a bit ‘put out’ that we asked to be seated upstairs instead of being squeezed in on main level (it was just 2 of us) she took our drink orders then disappeared. We sat ther with our menus for another 15-20 minutes, finally I waived someone over to take our order. The service person didn’t know anything about their beer selection, but was stood at faking it, instead deflecting the conversation. Asked about desert and he had to go and find out only to write down the options. The end result is that the food was decent but not especially keen to return.
The RHG is an amazing place as far as the ambiance and the art work and the staff. However, the food left something to be desired. Just a bit of salt and pepper would turn the food around. (How do you make chorizo bland?!) Had several dishes and they all needed the same two core ingredients in cooking, salt and pepper. That would perhaps be the only low.
I must say the staff and the drinks are amazing, that alone is worth the venture to happy hour and out for a quick bite. Everyone is happy to assist you for anything you may need. Unlike some places in the area, they are will to describe to you the food with great passion (even if it needs seasoning). I would recommend and hey try for yourself, you may have a 5 star time!
One of the best everyday tavern food in town.
Attentive service, valet mostly MIA, food good but really undercooked burger! Great neighborhood corner pub
The menu I looked online and found was different from the menu presented in person. The waiter was nice and explained the recent changes. The Side salad was actually good, crab dip and celery was great. The entrees were ok. Grilled chicken marinara was ok. Wings and fries were good. I would go again, but for happy hour or hanging out
Loved the mac and cheese. Maryland crab soup was amazing. Extra jumbo chucks, big pieces of veggies and just enough heat from old bay.
The bartender served us, he was professional and knowledgeable of the menu. He even took a group picture for us!! Fabulous
You can always count on Rowhouse to take care of you -- and you can't beat the Happy Hour!!!
We took a party of 7 for Thanksgiving. Rowhouse did a really delicious Thanksgiving prix fixe meal, with plenty of options for sides to please all of our group. Great service, nice people, and very fairly priced. We're going back!
Decent selection, but all of our entrees were luke warm...even the bread pudding!
As always great food, service, and vibe. This is one of my go-to’s when friends and family come to visit.
The service was very quick and attentive. I enjoyed my visit. It wasn't too crowded during Sunday brunch and had a great vibe.
Always a good experience at rowhouse! Service is friendly, food is tasty and of a high quality and prices are fair.
great service, great food, enjoyed the outdoor seating!
Service from Lauren was exceptional on a busy night. All four dishes ordered at our table were good
Dinner and service was wonderful! Would definitely recommend.
I took my brother and his girlfriend who were in town visiting for the weekend, went to Rowhouse for brunch. Bartenders were great, food was delicious as always! Highly recommend the Bayou hash for brunch
Burger was great and fresh bread is key. Server was great and helpful
We went with friends for a Raven's pre-game brunch; it was our second visit to the restaurant since our first experience was a decent one. This is kind of a neighborhood bar that focuses on pitchers of drinks and beer but they had some good food options on their menu, a few that were even kind of creative. This time, however, it seemed they took on more than they could handle. The place was packed and the service was terrible - we waited about 45 minutes to get our food. When we asked it we could get salt, pepper, ketchup and butter we were assured someone would bring them right out - it never happened. Two of us had the cornbread muffin - they tasted rancid and the crab, asparagus omelet was "tasteless" . We let our server know about the issues with the meal but by that time we were going to be late to the game so we just asked for our check. No attempt was made to make an adjustment to our check.
We'll be making other brunch choices in the future.
Don't order the crab cakes. Among the worst I've had. Mushy and tasteless
Good drinks, reasonable price. Steak wasn't the greatest cut, pretty tough with a lot of gristle, but still, a great place to meet up with friends and spend some time.
Too loud for a date, unless you don't like them much!
I went for the Artful Palette, presented by the chef, Tess and her partner, Kelly. They presented a tasting menu with accompanying drinks for each course based on the artwork surrounding the rooms.
The service was helpful and the crowd was supportive to the chef and the artist. Every course was a presentation of color and taste that was both a test to the senses and an eyeful.
I would recommend this event as they will be coming up in the coming year. Well worth the experience.
My boyfriend and I went for Vegan Restaurant Week and I was thoroughly impressed with our meals and the service. The food was well prepared, filling, and interesting. It was a little more expensive than places we normally go ($20 per entree) but since it was date night it was well worth it. Hopefully they have permanent Vegan menu items because we would love to go back!
We had a magnificent time here. Everyone was super nice and they gave us the most amazing bread pudding for our anniversary and we don't even like bread pudding but it was so good it was gone in a matter of minutes. Totally coming back
Rowhouse Grille is a fun place. Unfortunately, it took almost 30 minutes to find a parking space, which took away from our dining experience. Our drinks, salad and oysters Rockefeller were exceptional. My New York strip unfortunately was fatty, tough and overcooked. My daughter loved her burgers and chips. My truffle fries were also out of this world.
I made a mistake and booked a reservation right before they closed. I may go back just order a salad and/or a sandwich. I would give Rowhouse Grille a second chance, especially because the server was delightful and it seemed like a lively place.
Very good food and comfortable atmosphere. A little dark for eating.
