The Rossi Bar & Kitchen
Continues to be one of my favorite restaurants in town. Going on a decade of living this place.
Server was totally inattentive. Extremely loud.
They were pretty busy and the bar was loud and hopping. Food and service not quite the usual 5 stars but good.
We were in town for a concert and this building caught our eye, very unique food and atmosphere. Will definitely return
Great evening with lots of energy going on !! Thanks so much for a great evening
Love the Rossi, been coming here for years and is still awesome!
Very disappointing. Place has turned into a rougher crowd with a more limited menu than before. Waited so long for service we left after appetizers
Service and bartender were awesome. Food was just okay, I think they are trying too hard to be special. Stick to basics. My client didn’t even eat his meal:(
Our server definitely ruined the otherwise wonderful evening. She was rude, impatient, didn’t offer refills, check on us (like at all), and ended the evening with “well do you want your checks or did you want dessert or something”.
The food was delicious, the atmosphere was perfect, the company was great, but I would truly never return if I knew I would have the same server.
Our waiter was great! Happy hour menu was really good!
Our experience at The Rossi was honestly pretty bad. We made a reservation for 2 because we weren’t sure how busy it would be, and when we arrived, we were seated at the strangest seating arrangement I may have ever seen. It was a 2-person table with people standing at drinking tables directly next to us. They were so close to our table that the backs of their legs were almost touching the side of our table. On the other side of the table was two people seated at a booth facing directly towards us. I didn’t even bother to sit down because I knew that the seating arrangements were unreasonable. We went back to the front and were reseated, and then we proceeded to wait for 19 minutes just to have drink orders taken by our waitress, who hadn’t come to our table during that time. We almost walked out during that period but she came and took our order so we decided to stay. The food was pretty mediocre. We got a couple appetizers to split and a pizza. The pizza was fine, but it was nothing special, I wouldn’t get it again if I went back (which I won’t). We also got a strange egg dish that was fine as well. We ordered fries, which came out ice cold. Throughout the meal, the service was bad as well. The waitress didn’t clear the table so we sat there waiting for change after the waitress took my cash with plates taking up the entire table. A manager actually noticed that we were just sitting amongst the plates and came and cleared the table for us, which was appreciated. I understand having a busy night, but the service and quality of the food was pretty unreasonable. I would encourage those reading this to not go to The Rossi until something is done about the service and the food; I expected a lot more from somewhere that advertises itself as an upscale spot in Short North.
No Ac and it was a very hot evening. They were also out of the special and a favorite appetizer. Staff were not friendly. What an unfortunate experience!
I hadn’t been for 10 years, and I loved it when it first opened. It needs to be refurbished in a big way! Lighter, brighter, cleaner? And new energy!
Great happy hour.
Service was horrible. A brunette lady that dropped our food off at the table had the worst attitude and was very rude. I want to say she is the manager but I don’t know for sure. She would make me never want to go back even though the food and drinks were great.
The egg appetizer and and ham and gruyere sandwich are incredible and our staples. I tried the prosciutto and ricotta pizza and it was pretty good, not amazing to me. I'd probably choose different toppings next time. Really always enjoy this place!!
They were super accommodating with our large group, the service was great, and the food/drinks fantastic!
The Rossi is always amazing!
Amazing pizza & grilled romaine salad, very friendly & knowledgeable staff
We went during happy hr great food at good prices waiter was on top of everything and had great recommendations
Everything was fine. It was Gallery Hop and we were surprised that, while many restaurants were very busy, it was not. Service and food were good.
Love it! Our go-to favorite
The air conditioning didn’t work and we were sweating in the restaurant during our entire meal. We would of stayed for after dinner drinks but couldn’t handle the heat. As regulars, this was super disappointing. Won’t be back until the weather cools off.
We went for a family birthday dinner. Five of us tried 4 different items on the menu and all were outstanding. Will be back!
The Shoshito Peppers with honey was delicious. I could honestly sit and eat them as my entire entree.
Food was not good. Appetizers were ok but main meals were cold. Salads did not have correct ingredients. This place has really gone down hill. Probably will not go back.
We waited for our food for an hour and a half. We watched customers be seated after us and leave before us. The waitress only apologized one time and agreed to comp only after being asked. Even when our food arrived 2 of the plates were cold. Out of the 4 of us, only 2 of our meals were comped and they were not even completely comped, which they should have been. Overall, it was a very bad experience and our waitress handled it very poorly, I wish we had chosen a different restaurant.
Food and service were excellent, I would recommend highly!
Stood at the door for five minutes before someone acknowledged me. The ac was out and it was extremely hot. The food took way too long to come out for what it was. Food was decent, but it’s a very limited menu.
Great atmosphere! Very friendly servers, hostess. Food as always excellent! (Although lamb chops not great) love coming here!
Always great food and service here. The food is always delicious! The baked egg is incredible! The pizza is good too! Happy hour is nice as it cuts the price down on a couple dishes I probably wouldn't buy at full price. Highly recommend this place!
The Rossi is one of our favorite places I. The Short North. They have a pretty decent selection of drinks and food offerings on their happy hour menu, which is why we were there today. My wife and I love their aioli fries. Wood fired pizza is good as well. Beyond happy hour, they also carry a good selection of wines including my favorite which I cannot find any place else- Planet Oregon.
Good food in a chaotic environment. The bar and its pizzas are the big draw.
We celebrated our one year anniversary and couldn’t be happier. Great food and great service.
We visited on a Friday night at 6 PM. The service was a bit slow considering they were very busy at that time. The drinks were good they make a decent Manhattan. Our salad was delicious. We ordered a pizza and unfortunately it had a large hair across the top of it, they did replace it without an issue and deducted that from our bill which was appreciated
I would go back but I wouldn’t say I’m in a hurry
The BBQ Salmon served with Kale and Shaved Brussels sprouts was excellent.
Service always friendly and superior.
The food was fantastic! The service was great! I was hoarse when I left a 2 hr dinner because I had to talk so loud during dinner for my friend to hear me.
Low key but attentive service. Server was able to answer questions well about the food and offer accurate information. Food was as described and came out quickly. Nice place to have a conversation. Parking in The Castle lot just up the block made it easy to get to park, but we went on a super rainy night so maybe parking was more available than usual.
What a wonderful evening out with dear friends. Our server Alexis was absolutely unbelievable. We will be back very soon.
