Great waiter. Yummy good.
Very good food, enjoyed everything. However I was not a fan of having to order everything at once and then they take the menu from you.
The oysters weren’t cleaned or cut making it difficult not hack up the tiny oysters. They were out of the chicken sandwich leaving handheld options from the menu that day limited. The smash burger was good, but shouldn’t be $19 especially with a modest amount of cold, burnt homemade chips. The snap pea salad was under seasoned, lacked a vinaigrette and the veggies seemed to be drowning in water making the whipped ricotta disgusting. I stopped eating because it was a waste of calories and figured I would eat somewhere else later. The server was mediocre at best.
We were there once before and had an amazing experience. Unfortunately this time around, it was one of the worst experiences I’ve had in LA. We had a reservation, but they had us wait 30 minutes until after the time until we were seated. It turns out they had marked a walk up table as our table, and sat them in our place. They finally sat us at a table surrounded in bugs. Both of those could’ve been overlooked had I not received used/dirty utensils and a dead bug not in my food. Service was fine until after we found the dead bug, where then we barely saw our waiter. They then tried to charge us for the ceviche with the bug in it. We only had max 2 bites before noticing the bug and asked her immediately to take it back (didn’t ask or receive a replacement). I’m really sad about this experience because I thought we found our new favorite spot :(
The good: drinks were good, espresso martini was amazing!
What a vibe!
Parking is limited and valet is $15 with $1 service fee for cards which sucked. Drinks were great, food can be overpriced due to small servings depending on what you get BUT our service was great and the ambiance was great too
The food was pretty good and nice ambiance
Service was exceptional. I’ve been to Rose a bunch of times and service this time around was truly something noteworthy.
Worst food I have ever had extremely over priced. Not sure what the fuss is all about, menu lacks variety and food is tasteless
Food is overall fine. Drinks are good. You can get much better food elsewhere for the same cost or even less.
Great pasta. Cheap olives
Overall great place and ambiance, food comes out quickly - once it is ready so be sure to space things out when ordering.
The outdoor back patio is great for maintaining distance and fresh air. plenty of heaters to keep everyone warm once the sun goes down Food was delicious. Plenty of choices. the only thing with dining outdoors is that the food gets cold really fast so you have to eat quickly.
Are used to love the rose café in Venice. This was my first time dining there in over a year and I was really looking forward to it. It was a supreme disappointment. The menu has completely changed, the food was subpar at best, and it was very expensive to boot.
Delicious meal. Ate outside and heat lamps kept us warm. Very good service.
The hostess was not the kindest! And they did a poor job cleaning their seating - I ended up sitting in something gummy and ruined my pants!
Had the best lunch with girlfriends! AMAZING drinks and Leo our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable and really made our day special! They have really upped the bar on the menu and everything was delicious (especially loved the pea salad). Highly recommend and can't wait to go back for dinner!
I didn’t get a table in the back patio as requested for my 40th birthday but we had a lovely evening on the less and the server was very kind. The table was just set for five not six but that was easily sorted and the food was delicious as always. It was nice to sit inside by the bar for a cocktail before dinner as well
Good service good food
Food was incredible, as was the service. Will definitely be returning.
Food was average and crazy expensive. Don't go unless you have money to burn
The Tokyo pizza was a big disappointment, but the other items we ordered were pretty good.
Morris is the best server ever!
Valet parking at $15 too pricey for lunch. No street parking an option.
Confirming the reservation was a challenge, i tried changing the time and it led to issues...i went in person, was reassured that it was changed and when we arrived it had not been changed. The manager in charge did what he could do to make it work for us, after we waited around for a while....
When you make a reservation you expect you’ll be seated at the time of the reservation or within a few minutes. You do not expect to be directed to a 20+ person deep line to wait upwards of 30 minutes for your table. Unfortunately my last experience at Rose was unfortunate due to the above situation. They should consider changing their system to “walk in only” if they can’t handle reservations.
I went to the Rose for dinner and the food was delicious! We were seated in their extended outdoor dining area (I wish we were seated more in the front / patio) but it was still nice. The wait staff was very friendly! All of their dishes are meant to be shared. A few of my favorite dishes we ordered: Korean BBQ Bone Marrow, Rigatoni, and Arugula Salad. The s'mores dessert is a MUST!
They have a time limit and reminded us about it about 4 times during our meal. They rushed us out when there were clearly tons of tables open. Bussers were stalking our table. We couldn’t get through a conversation or even put the glass down after a final sip without them pouncing on us and interrupting us asking if we are ok. I love appropriate attentiveness but this was just obnoxious.
We ended up going down the street to
Chulita for a second drink which we would have just as easily of had at Rose if they didn’t push us out.
Dumb. Pretentious. Overpriced.
We got sat at table all the way in the corner under the tree. My friend found a little bug in her drink probably from sitting under the tree. It was a cold day heat lamp didn’t do much. I had the kale salad it was very mediocre. Waiter said drinks were balanced there were in fact extremely strong. Nice place nothing great probably would not go back.
Good environment, a bit slow. Delicious cocktails and food but brunch took a long time
There was a loud pickup truck s a drummer that played for 20 mins and prevented us from talking.
Good food and ambiance. Slightly disorganized staff but food was delicious
The food is excellent, and the ambience can't be beat. This spot has multiple adorable patios and an overall great vibe. I've never met a menu item I didn't love.
Great food, great vibes, great experience!
Great brunch date with my boo. Loved the crispy bacon, chocolate croissant and Neroni breakfast. Great service and chill vibes!
Great Rock Fish Tacos and Curry Fries
Food was just ok, not worth the price
We really enjoy The Rose. Food is very good, people are nice and location is good. It's a little pricey but always good for a special celebration.
Food is amazing, This was our third time and it’s always great. But it’s very expensive. They asked twice if it was a special occasion. It was - a double birthday and a big milestone birthday. Also told the waiter. But no one said anything or did anything or comped anything. Okay, so why ask? Courses came too fast, three at a time.
Overall outstanding. Service, food, creativity, pacing. Nice job, Rose
