The food is mediocre at best, very overpriced, and the restaurant is surrounded by tents.
Amazing food, great service!! Strongly recommend their juices
I know Covid is difficult but the overflow outdoor space has zero ambience. It feels like picnic tables at a public park with very bright lighting. Other restaurants do the COVID dining much better - where the new outdoor spaces feel every bit as good as the original dining area - with ambience, mood, good lighting, nice tables and chairs etc. when the ROSE check arrives it looks like the check from a full dining experience restaurant but that’s not what you got. the pretty good food cannot make up for the bright light, no ambience, and picnic tables and chairs in the temporary COVID dining area.
The food here is spot on. Our server was also very friendly and helpful. Ps get the frose.
Manager wasn’t so friendly. Older guy
Overall fun experience! Went for a birthday and was not told about the dining limit (figured there would be one but the waiter should have explicitly stated this when she first came by or when we were first seated). After the 2 hour limit mark a man came up to us and said “hate to break it to you but you’re way over the limit” could have said it much nicer...
Loved this place, super cute, great ambiance, food was delicious and amazing service! Busy though, we had reservations and still had to wait for a bit.
I was there with my friends for brunch, everything was good, we enjoyed the food and atmosphere.
Great place for brunch. Loved the open air feel as it keeps noise down. Interesting menu, lots of good stuff but you can't make changes easily.
Rare outing ! Terrible in every way. Was randomly contacted about our experience by Allison Wiseman the operations manager. She did ZERO to make us whole on a total rip off. Never going back to this overpriced restaurant I’ve enjoyed for over thirty years. Sad
Food was average and overpriced. Ambience was the best part.
Overall enjoyable. Just the food came out way before the drinks including the steak! The steak was quite unenjoyable and had clearly just been sitting in the kitchen pass ready for someone to order it as it came it in under 5 minutes
Amazing food, great service. Perfect date night spot!
We did get there 10 minutes late, however we were told we would only have 5min (so 15 minutes if we were on time) to order because they were switching from the brunch menu.. & they said we couldn’t order from the dinner menu. We get in line to order, by the time the couple in front of us ordered (assume same happened to them as they were saying reservations only) the server said they were already closing the kitchen so we couldn’t order.
Extra annoying because I called days ahead to confirm the reservation & I wasn’t given a heads up about them giving me a reservation that was only good for 15 minutes. Also we could only sit in the front where the patio isn’t as nice as the back.. didn’t know I had to ask for the back patio. And it was Valentine’s Day..
Service was great, the food and drinks where so yummy
Nice staff
The restaurant itself is cute. ambiance is ok. nothing fancy for Westside standards.
Food and drinks are mediocre for the price.
Great service, felt safe. Food was delicious. Will be back soon!
We love Rose, but we were extremely disappointed with our recent experience. They have just reopened (due to Covid), so hopefully it improves, but...
We were seated in the newly tented area (built where the parking lot used to be). Tables were spaced far far apart; there were no heaters, no music, just a very sterile/weird/cold environment. And many empty tables so there were very few people in this huge tent. I wore a down jacket the entire meal, and was shivering.
The food was great, besides the scallops; the sauce was way too overpowering of a weird spice. The Brussels, salads, vegetables, etc were otherwise delicious. Service was wonderful. Just don’t sit in the new tent if you want to enjoy your meal.
Never a disappointment. Love going here for brunch lunch or dinner. Good vegetarian options. Great drinks. Cute outdoor dining. Easy parking.
Cool place but way overpriced for the quality. Worth checking out once only.
First, COVID online menu did not have prices. They brought us paper menus, but then forgot drink menus. We had to ask again. Their Sea Cucumber Drink machine wasn’t working. They were out of some menu items. The food was mediocre, but overpriced. Not many heaters outside. That’s about it.
We have liked going to this place many times in the past. This review is mostly for covid. I don’t know how they are allowed to have diners in the tent that is mostly closed. So many people walking around with no masks either. Food was excellent. But we’ll do take out until it’s safe to eat there.
Food was so blah.
Food was delicious and service was amazing!!!! Thanks for a great night!
Amazing food, drinks and ambiance! Service was great and felt very safe.
Sat on very back patio (parking lot patio), so as nice as it can get I guess.
The Bee Pizza seemed quite pricey.
Enjoyed our visit.
Was there for brunch. Wasn't impressed with the menu selection and what I ordered.
Great food and great dining experience! We love coming here for both brunch and dinner
love this place
Love this place. Service was a bit slow, but worth it.
We were here as the new president was announced. It was wild on Rose and we were in the perfect location to see it all. It was pretty cold outside but they use art of tea and the earl gray was nice. I was super basic in my food choice from being hungover so I got a children’s plate of scrambled eggs and toast (thankful they let me order that) the hot sauce was extremely tasty. My cousin got the lox and enjoyed the sandwich and her girl got the huevos rancheros and she was cool with that too. Overall good experience even though it was cold out and I felt terrible but it was great to see the celebration on the streets with a heater next to me.
Great as usual!
We went for my friends birthday lunch. The lunch menu has changed since the pandemic. I expected delicious sandwiches, salads, and great lunch options but unfortunately the menu did not have these items.
We ordered the octopus ceviche, it was very fishy and seemed old abs very chewy. The chicken shawarma salad was small and not tastey. The Korean fried chicken sandwich was heavily seasoned and dressed, very overwhelming in thick sauce.
The pepperoni pizza and fries were the only good dishes we had unfortunately.
Also food is overpriced and small portions. I was very disappointed.
Above average prices and above average food
It was good not great experience
Great dining experience, we ordered from the Lunch menu and the portions were generous. Definitely make reservations as this is a popular destination for those that have enjoyed a meal at the Rose Cafe.
Highly recommended.
Everything was absolutely delicious. Staff is great and helpful in choosing what to order. Drinks are bomb and we felt safe the whole time 👍🏼 go go go
Great atmosphere and food. Highly recommend anything on the menu. Very pleased with the overall experience.
Really wanted this to be good but alas! Three of us ordered two chef neroni-style and one breakfast sandwich
Suspicions were aroused when the two chef neroni-style arrived 90 seconds after ordering .... hmmm how long have they been lying around!
Then the wait- 25 to 30 minutes later the breakfast sandwich arrived which was basically the chef neroni-style breakfast constructed
And the rub was the bacon - if you are going to sell a bacon chop instead of bacon call it that... far too thick to call it bacon and far too fatty
To the servers credit he didn’t charge for the sandwich but at @ still over $125 (inc tip) for 3 bloody Mary’s and the two breakfasts a complete rip off
