Food was just ok, not worth the price
We really enjoy The Rose. Food is very good, people are nice and location is good. It's a little pricey but always good for a special celebration.
Food is amazing, This was our third time and it’s always great. But it’s very expensive. They asked twice if it was a special occasion. It was - a double birthday and a big milestone birthday. Also told the waiter. But no one said anything or did anything or comped anything. Okay, so why ask? Courses came too fast, three at a time.
Overall outstanding. Service, food, creativity, pacing. Nice job, Rose
A great place...beautifully deigned. The outdoor spaces are green and lovely.
The huevos rancheros are delicious! Noise level is low...very relaxing.
Hostess manager is incredibly rude
Perfect place for large group of friends
Love this place. Food and service are excellent. Tables really well spaced. Safety protocols in place. So happy to be back!
From start to finish it was sensational!!
The Rose is super cute and had a large selection of food. Unfortunately we were right under the speakers and it was so loud! We could barely hear each other talking the whole ttime. We also ordered the breakfast sandwich and were SO disappointed with it! It was $14 and looked like it was made by a 4 year old... there was kraft singles cheese, a hamburger bun which was squished down (looked like unwrapping a fast food burger), and a sunnyside up egg. SUPER disappointing, especially for the price. We got some yummy stuff like the breakfast burrito and the biscuits, but it was kind of hard to get over the main thing I ordered being so small and kind of gross looking.
The dinner we had was not good for me, however, I love their creativity and use of organic, locally grown foods.
Delicious , beautifully plated food. Great service. Nice outdoor seating.
My party loved everything about The Rose Venice from the friendliness of the staff, their attention to our needs, the breadth and creativity of the menu and the quality of food. We were seated in a very spacious and comfortable outdoors dining area and the restaurant was hopping busy. Highly recommend The Rose Venice, enjoy!
We enjoyed being out with friends and having a good meal. First time in a year!
Busy but the service was good. Attentive server and support staff. Went for brunch, great food and cocktails.
Great ambiance; glad I made a reservation. Food was a little pricey but all very tasty.
Everything about this place was perfect. Amazing COVID protocols, refreshing cocktails, delicious food, friendly service. One downside was, they pushed us out of our 90 minute reservation saying we had finished our 2 hour time limit, when we still had 7 minutes left on our reservation. We did not appreciate the time crunch on our anniversary.
The outside dining experience was great- tables spaced far apart and everything seemed clean.
Service was also very good and prompt.
While the food and drinks were tasty, it is overpriced and portions are on the smaller side.
$14 for a breakfast sandwich(no side) and $28 for a crab roll with chips(fries are extra) is a bit much.
Absolutely amazing food!
Great experience- I took off a star because they don’t alter the menu to meet dietary restrictions. But the waiter was amazing & found the perfect dish for us.
There is a long line to wait in just to check in with the host to say you have a reservation. Then another 20 mins of waiting. When we were finally sat it was 15 minutes before a waiter approached our table. We ordered food and drinks then since we knew it would be a while before he came back. 20 mins later, one of our drinks arrived. 5 minutes after the first drink came out, the waiter came to say they ran out of the other drink. When ordering a second round the same thing happened. Poor service and communication.
The Rose has always been one of my favorite spots in Venice. I went recently just to try the uni latkes and oh my gosh, what a brilliant and delicious creation. Putting a spin on traditional latkes using creme fraiche instead of sour cream and topping them with delicious uni... just perfect!
Everything was so great! Service, food, drinks! Can’t wait to visit again!
The food and ambiance were wonderful. The service was questionable. There was one server managing over 6 tables (some large) and although he was nice and knowledgeable, our service suffered. Our coffee (basic drip) arrived after our food. The food, as I mentioned, was good; however, the coffee was lukewarm at best. We were in our seats for over 30 minutes before even getting the first cup. We asked for another warmer cup after drinking about half of the first, and those took more than 10 minutes to arrive. I ordered a glass of wine to enjoy after meal, when that didn’t arrive after 15 minutes, I notified the server. He was apologetic and served the glass a few minutes later. After personally being in service industry for 15 years throughout school, I understand how many things can go wrong, and how important adequate staffing and team awareness are. There were many team members who could have been more affective and helpful. I tipped the server 30% because he was working with what he had and very hospitable. I hope this was a one off occurrence as I heard amazing things about this restaurant. Will likely give another shot.
Food was overpriced and poorly executed. Curried salmon dish that was like fish in sauce for $45. Server forgot my drink. "Sommellier" promised to charge us a reduced price on the wine that was not honored on the final bill.
My girlfriend said never again.
Absolutely loved everything!
We had a reservation and showed up 15 minutes ahead of time, however, we had to wait an extra 45 minutes to be seated. Then, once we got seated they were out of majority of items listed on their menu...disappointed to say the least.
We waited almost an hour for our reservation today, along with other parties who also had reservations. I enjoy the food and ambiance, so I continuously try to give this restaurant the benefit of doubt, but I have been here several times and every experience has been awful. The wait staff is not attentive and can be very rude. Last time we waited 40 minutes before anyone came to our table to take our order after. After trying waive wait staff down to place an order, the waiter was rude and made it clear that this was not his table. I understand this is a popular place, but they seem to overbook and they cannot handle the capacity.
The restaurant doesn't filter reservations so they were running at least 30 minutes behind schedule on their reservations. It was a complete madhouse/ chaos outside to check in with about 100 people trying to get in (kind of like a nightclub scene but it was brunch). Once we had the table (40 minutes after our reservation time), it was fine though service and kitchen were backed up of course. Overall, very disappointing. I've been here many times in the past. I guess they are having trouble getting things organized again post- pandemic closures. Not sure I will return.
Had a reservation and still got seated 45 minutes later. The food was expensive for what we got too. $75 for two plates and 1 iced tea
Food was wayyy to salty. They take the order at once and say they will corse it out but they did a terrible job with this.
ehhhhhhh---too much hype. I think the food is overpriced and the atmosphere is lackluster.
Great food and service
Tables spaced far apart and appropriate Covid 19 precautions. Primary server was friendly and attentive. However, for two people, one ordered hot entree and one cold entree there was at least a 10 minute gap between the time the two dishes were served (cold first). No one ever came back to see if we needed or wanted anything until the very end of the meal. One dish served with ricotta ad strawberry gazpacho (misleading on the menu as the gazpacho was more like a generous serving of salad dressing) but no spoon was provided to eat it with. Green tea served in open cup, no teapot, no idea how long bag had been in the cup when served. In my improvement needs improvement to raise service standard in particular and to better describe dishes on menu.
This was always one of our favorite places. But this time, the food was unexceptional, the menu choices very limited, and the service was extremely slow.
we will wait to go back until they have reestablished their full menu. we can't recommend it to anyone at this point.
Super cute spot! Drinks were delish! My favorite was the Rose mimosa! Super refreshing! I would definitely come back!
What wonderful variety in the menu. There is something for everyone. Food quality is 💯
Biscuits are best we've ever had. Terrific adherence to COVID protocols. Very friendly staff. Wide menu -- salmon pizza a home run.
My second time here and it did not disappoint once again. The snapdragon cocktail is my favorite. Also the snap peas salad with whipped ricotta( I know it has a different name lol) is absolutely refreshing. Cacio and Pepe Pizza, you will need a nap after that pizza and it’s so worth it. The service was phenomenal. Thank you.
