Everything was great. Small note to bar manager: I get the whole hybrid beer trend. But, A “pilsner style ale” is NOT a pilsner; it’s, well, an Ale. You should make that abundantly clear on the menu and with the servers to avoid surprising those of us who don’t love ales (particularly with a meal). Otherwise👍👍

2nd time. 1st was ok. went again to celebrate daughter's bday. Really disappointing. Food average, really small portions, expensive, too loud, lighting too low, serve average, placed next to kitchen so looked at dirty dishes being washed all night and high traffic crew. Drink arrived in middle of dinner, tasted like pure alcohol. Left hungry and poor. Will not go back. Better options that will cost less, better ambience, and leave you feeling satisfied.

Very underwhelming. The new menu is just not worthy of being called a restaurant meal. None of the ingredients were fresh. Practically no flavor was added. Seems like it’s just about plating the food to make it look nice so you feel like you are paying for something. Even the plating was very average. The himachi tasted old, there was barely any burrata on the toast which was so soggy with the red sauce which was totally tasteless. And the nectarine salad was just nectarines cut up and plated on some white cream. Yeah the balsamic vinegar reduction that I asked for on the side was actually the star of the show….. that’s how disappointing the meal was.

Best food, service, menu options, and ambiance in Venice. Cocktails are amazing as well. Love this neighborhood gem. Literally everything on the menu is great and you should order a variety of items for share-style dining.

First time checking out The Rose and needless to say I found a new favorite restaurant in LA. My server Chance was so competent and knowledgeable and had some great suggestions. We had a show and an hour and a half out time and we got there early, were able to have 3 courses and be out in time. Will definitely be going again!

We were seated and given water by the host and bus boy, after that no one checked on us again for 15 minutes (arrived at 9:32, went to the hostess at 9:47). The host said he would check on it for us but no one came and we sat for another 5 minutes. We tried to get multiple waiters’ attention but were ignored. My partner had to go to the host again to check what was going on before we were finally helped. When we were finally helped by our waitress, she said she didn’t know we were in her section and did nothing to rectify the situation. We received our food before our drinks. I’ve been here many times and was always happy with the food and service, but this left a very poor taste in my mouth.

Good service. Friendly staff. We arrived earlier than our reservation and let us sit early. We came with a toddler for brunch and they were very kind and patient with him. Food was great as well.

We are huge fans of Rose but last nights meal was disappointing. Sadly the famous Carbonera is no longer on the menu and the new small plate format was too small. The Branzino that we also used to love was soggy and the salads were over dressed. Hopefully it was just a bad night and things get back to the level they were at in the past. Our waiter and the drinks were still excellent.

Rose has changed its menus to the”tasting” concept and considerable raised its prices and its wine prices are absurd Best of luck They also failed to bring one dish not didn’t fail to charge for it …luckily we caught it

The food portions are fairly small but high quality. Most of the food came out sort of cold… But everything tasted great and our waiter was friendly. High top area was uncomfortably hot compared to the outside patio.

We’ve been here two times now. First time was an invitation by a friend for the Sunday brunch and the second time was for breakfast. We really enjoyed it. For Sunday I would recommend a reservation as it was pretty busy. Food and the drinks are amazing. This place is a highlight in Venice

Chaotische organisatie, meer dan een half uur gewacht op onze gereserveerde tafel. Sommige gerechten waren lekker, maar werden niet samen opgediend. Een van onze gerechten was niet beschikbaar. Niet lang genoeg gekookte en koude pasta carbonara ( hoe kan een Italiaans restaurant dat verknoeien??)werd door onze behulpzame maar overvraagde ober vervangen door een pizza. Onze ober heeft deze teleurstellende ervaring toch wat goedgemaakt. Prijs kwaliteit niet in verhouding. Geen aanrader.

Was taking a long weekend in Ocean Park and I hadn’t been to The Rose Venice since it opened way back when. Read the menu on Open Table and decided to give it a try. Great out-door seating. Started with a Belvedere Martini with fresh olives. No pimento, no brine. Ordered three starter/small plates to share. The blue fin tuna crudo was my favorite, with the roasted squash with pumpkin seed pesto a close second. The grilled octopus was one of the best I ever had. Great texture and smokey flavor. Really beautiful “chocolate” dessert that wasn’t the usual chocolate over-load. Excellent, attentive service by the friendly staff. Excellent wine list.

I will keep this short. Went for a late lunch. Both my friend and I ordered a salad and an iced drink. The salads looked like a side salad and the drinks came after we were done. Bill was over 40 bucks. I remember when the Rose was amazing….. No more.

Our server was great. Everything else was ok. We had a reservation and at the host stand were told that “the bar is available right now, is that ok?” I asked how long it would be to sit at a table and they did take us to our own table. Not the best first impression, but nothing terrible. Our server was friendly and informative. The Grapes of Wrath Flatbread was tasty, if a bit over cooked. The Cacio e Pepe was fairly bland. They had also run out of most of the desserts by the time we were finished eating. I’ve had a better experience in the past here, but this one was just ok.

We had a delicious dinner. However, the restaurant has two large parties going on. As a result, the menu for regular diners was limited. And there was no dessert at all! We should have been informed when making the reservation. And I’ve never heard of a fine dining establishment not offering a dessert course.

The food was delicious and the service was great. The best thing we ate was the biscuit, it was amazing with the blackberry jam. We should have made an earlier reservation because the delicious looking pastries were all gone while we were there at 1 pm. We were celebrating our anniversary and they were kind enough to give us a nice table in the back garden area. It was peaceful and very comfortable. We will definitely go back to try more items and hopefully the pastries too!

Had brunch with friends on a holiday Sunday afternoon. Food was pretty tasty and the fresh juice was a nice touch with the mimosas. But our server was just so blah. Cute face but his attitude left a lot to be desired.

We come for the food and the setting. The service is designed to make you consume more. If you know how to say no, you'll have a good time overall. The wine is overpriced. A Corsican wine in France costs $16 and sells for $100.

The food was disappointing. The "stone fruit and ricotta toast" was served on a slice of bread that was not toasted, the ricotta appeared to have been mixed with something such as cream cheese, and the stone fruit consisted of a sliced plum; I had expected a mix of stone fruit. The arugula salad was uninspired.

One of my all time favs has undergone a menu change unfortunately. We were guided on what to eat but the arugula was drowning, the tomatoes were less than ideal, the burrata hard, but the corn pasta sublime. When the patio re-opens perhaps the food will have a rebirth also?

Our server was not very attentive. Also on Sunday there is a revised small menu and that is not posted online. We came in for steaks and pastas, which were not offered. The selections weren’t amazing. The Sunday fried chicken dinner was the best of what we ordered.

A completely enjoyable experience! Although very busy, our service was fast and attentive. Without being TOO fast or TOO attentive- just right. All the food was DELICIOUS. We were a party of 6 and all were impressed. Thanks to The Rose for a wonderful time!
