Nice meal in a beautiful setting. The special of the day, blackened prime rib, was very tender but really did not seem to have been carved from a freshly roasted rib. It was better than some I’ve had other places, but not quite what I expected. The gravy actually detracted from the dish.
A lovely gem of a restaurant. Not cheap but superior to anything inside The Villages. Top notch food. Top notch service
First time there was great and enjoyable will be back for sure..
This was our 25th wedding anniversary and the dinner and experience delightful!
Love this place!!!!! Superb service, food, location and setting.
absolutely gorgeous and has fantastic food. Best beef I ever had. the service is very good but be prepared, this is a leisurely experience.
A great dining experience. The dress code is also a great addition. Will visit again soon.
My husband took me to The Rose Plantation for my 75th Birthday,we were seated in the porch with a view of the lake which was lovely. We ordered drinks and sat for awhile and we were not rushed to order oour meal, when we did order I had the Queen rack of lamb and my husband had the prime rib and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meal and after that I ordered a cappuccino which came nice and hot just the way I like it.The waitress was efficient and pleasant and the piano playing was very nice and not too loud.We enjoyed it so much we will definitely be going again
This was our first time and our 59th anniversary. We were most pleased with our experience, service great and food was just right! The price was a little high, However we will be back on special occasions. It was indeed a rememberable time we will share in the future.
The food is very good. However one guest had cold food and sent it back to be reheated. I had duck although tasty it was dry in areas and overcooked. Most importantly table #202 is so cold it is difficult to enjoy your meal. I will go back but will never sit at that table again.
Service was great, food a disappointment. Hike from parking to door also a negative. Sand everywhere. No sidewalks.
Food was delicious. Service was fantastic. The ambiance was wonderful. The only reason I did not give it a full 5 stars is that some of the food is not from scratch - however - they do manage to elevate it to a delicious level.
Roast Duck excellent, as was the bread and butter service. Well paced, unhurried dinner. Very nice ambience with live piano music. Server somewhat extended due to number of guests, but courteous and friendly. Have been multiple times and never disappointed.
The ambiance was outstanding. I enjoyed my entree but my husband did not like his. The house chardonnay was not very good.
It was our 47th anniversary, the restaurant, food and service were impeccable. Absolutely loved it. We did ask for dining by window in my reservation comments but did not get and thought that perhaps we would have been offered a complimentary free dessert or something to recognize this special occasion but nothing. We will be back again.
Lovely Friday nite out. Piano player was terrific!
Expensive diner type food, doesn’t seem they cook anything in-house.
We discovered this place by accident and wow what a find.
Everyone was friendly and the service was excellent the food was excellent we will be going back
Daughter's birthday. The place to go for special occasions. As usual, food and service was top notch.
We went for my daughter's birthday and had a wonderful experience. Our waitress Linda made it extra special. The food and service was excellent
Pasta purse appetizer was excellent. Last time we went there was a brownish sauce on them. This time it was more of a cream sauce with lots of garlic. The caprese salad was fair, at best. It was more a salad with some mozzerella balls thrown in. The cheese smelled and tasted like it was off. The Angelino, roast duck, and risotto were excellent. The peach.pie was fair. The vanilla ice cream was awful! Waitress, Linda, could not have been sweeter or kinder. Grounds need attention.
Main course was great as expected. Cherry pie was good but seemed smaller than before.
We were able to reserve the private dinning room and I was able to work with the chef on our 7 course meal to fit our experience. It was great!!! Jay did a wonderful job of guiding me through the evening and the owners were wonderful!!! Highly recommend this place and will definitely be back
Very good. Beautiful view great service and good
Great ambiance. Noise level was for very nice for conversation, very nice.
Had a seared fish filet, one of the best ever. Service efficient and fun.
Service was good. We did not wait long for our meals. The Crab Cakes were excellent.
Good food and service. Enjoyed Joe the piano player.
We have eaten at the Rose Plantation numerous times and never have been disappointed.
I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that enjoys a fine dining experience.
I had the prime rib medium. Done to perfection. Wife had fish. Also very good. Waiter was excellent. Overall a very good experience.
Excellent food and service. Rose Plantation never disappoints!
The service and food were great.
Both the food and service were outstanding. Have come to expect.
This is an outstanding restaurant extremely well managed and run .Pretty much an oasis in a culinary desert. A small complaint about over seasoning was handled professionally and in a very customer friendly manner. Prices are reasonable for what is an upscale restaurant. My wife and myself are hospitality professionals and cannot wait to return.
Overall it was ok. Entrees we’re good but sides weren’t that
This is a wonderful restaurant and not like the usual places in the area. Very nice for special occasions.
Dined for parents Anniversary called to ask what they offer the day before and was told a candle in a shared dessert, I said that would be great! Didn’t get the candle and didn’t want to make a big deal in front of my parents. Chicken piccata with no pasta is strange to me and I’m surprised Brittany our server didn’t mention it t my Dad when he ordered and was chosing a side. Brittany was very patient with us and allowed us extra time to relax and dine we didn’t feel rushed at all. Piano player was fantastic !!
A fine dining experience with excellent food and service.
Very good health, Covid protocols. Nice ambience and view on the porch overlooking the water. Good choice of food for all types of eaters. Nice use of technology on drink orders at table via tablet and therefore ability to get drinks to table quickly. Would definitely go back
Always a great place to for a celebration. Great food & service
