Great service and good food. Never had a bad meal here in all the times I've visited

Classy, quiet (appropriate background music that I could take or leave - I like the sound of silence), excellent food, and a well trained wait staff. It was our anniversary dinner. We'll go back soon and for the next anniversary for sure.

We went out for my birthday. Staff was very attentive love the piano music

Duck, stuffed shrimp, white fish and tuna were great. 4 oz fillet was so small you could hardly see it on the plate.

Although the restaurant is lovely and fairly quiet, we were not impressed with the food. The stuffed mushrooms were mediocre. The saffron risotto did not have any saffron taste at all. For the price, we expected better.

We had a wonderful Anniversary meal on the 5th of March. This was our second time to this restaurant and I have relayed to a few others how wonderful the food is and a very nice place for a special meal. Will be returning again on the 27th of this month with our son from England. It was a 10 out of 10 experience.

A pleasant way to spend the evening for either casual/fine dining or special occassions.

We had a wonderful time at The Rose Plantation. The restaurant is beautiful and very romantic. Our server was great.

There was 5 of us for my wife’s birthday. The food was excellent and would recommend to anyone. The surroundings were quaint. Linda our server was great server down to earth person which made it a lot of fun and would recommend you asking for her. I didn’t think to order any desert or a cake for my wife’s birthday and I should have that is the only thing I wish they would have brought out a desert for her.

No doubt the best restaurant in the area. Outstanding food, great service, and all at a fair price in a lovely setting. Can’t ask for any more!

Lovely dining , the food and service were outstanding.

The table for two, next to the entrance to the porch area really should not be that close to the entrance .
Every tray going out wizzed over my head....,And at times drops of I can only asume was water dripped on me ..
I know every seat is $$$$$ BUT,
that table should either be pushed to the right two feet or eliminated..

Wonderful evening. Salmon was previously frozen and quite dry and tough. Other seafood of the special was fantastic. Fabulous soups and Key Lime pie divine. Table for two was right in the middle of a busy walkway so hard to hear each other speak. Service was very good. Overall great dinner.

We absolutely love this restaurant. The ambiance is wonderful. Food is delicious and the service was excellent. Can't wait to return!

i live in downtown chicago and we have some of the best restaurants in the country and rose plantation rivals our restaurants and the prices are about half of the prices in chicago.
we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. can’t say enough about this wonderful restaurant .

The rose plantation was absolutely wonderful. The service was outstanding and so was the food. However it is small portions my husband was still hungry after we left.

Nice charming place with great food and great service.

First time at this restaurant. Throughly enjoyed the experience. Our server, Willie, was attentive, pleasant, and funny. He explained the menu and specials. We felt as if he waited on us , not just taking or orders. The food selections were wide ranging.

The appetizer of bruschetta was OUTSTANDING! We also each had the lobster soup. Again delicious . Each entree was plentiful and mouthwatering. My wife had the 1/2 rack of lamb, which was more then enough. I had the swordfish special, recommended by Willie, and was wonderful. Unfortunately we couldn’t possibly eat dessert but the adjoining table did and the pies looked great.

We had a great bottle of wine with dinner and the bill was a reasonable $130.

Looking forward to returning on a Friday or Saturday to enjoy the live piano player.

Lovely restaurant, we have been there many times before. The food is typically excellent and the live piano music makes the setting for a wonderful evening.

Tonight, however, the waitress was inattentive and slow all night long. In addition she was pushy and at times even rude.

The rose plantation is a wonderful place to go, But unfortunately sometimes a bad waitress can make for a less than perfect evening

The Rose Plantation was amazing! The staff was so friendly and accommodating with my food allergies. I took my parents there for dinner and my husband called in and spoke to Paulie, the maitre de, to pay the bill and surprise my family. He came over to the table and introduced himself and made sure we were having a wonderful evening. The food was delicious, the views were incredible. I recommend this restaurant for lunch or dinner any time of the year.

Our second visit and we ordered crab cakes again. Instead of jumbo lump crabmeat as previously served this time the crabmeat was over mixed with too much filler. A little disappointing since we went specifically for the wonderful crab cakes. When we told the waitress she notified the chef who came to our table to handle the matter personao

Outstanding food and service.

Well balanced menu. Drinks were reasonable. Food was somewhat pricey, but very good. Service was in line with what was expected of an upscale restaurant. Piano music was perfect for dining.

We enjoyed our dinner. Took my husband there for his birthday! The food was delicious and the service was good.

Such a wonderful place. Unlike any restaurant in the villages and so close.

The green beans served with the entre were overcooked.

First time here free hearing great reviews from friends. Had the price fix special and thought it was an excellent value. Sat by the window overlooking the lake and staff was attentive to closing the blinds so the sun wasn't in our eyes. Food and experience was excellent. We'all be going again!

Always an excellent meal for us so far, by far our go to place for a special occasion or great meal in this area

Felt the food was “just ordinary” this visit. Was last here in August and something was just not as good as usual the other night.

Our experience was excellent. I'm sorry I don't remember the name of our waiter, but he was marvelous.
We will definitely be back.

Excellant restaurant , total class, only fault was nightly special , which I ordered they were out of at7:30

Had a delicious meal and enjoyed listening to the piano player while celebrating our 38th anniversary. We will be back!

Everything was great 2 for 2

The greeting upon entering was very courteous and friendly. We were seated immediately and the hostess offered a choice of seating. The waiter was pleasant with prompt service throughout our meal, we felt comfortable and unhurried. I had lamb chops, my wife had scallops both of which were prepared exactly as requested. We have dined here frequently and have never been disappointed, I would recommend dining at The Rose Plantation to anyone.

Gerhardt was our server, he was knowledgeable about the menu and the wines; kept our water glasses filled. He was prompt with his service and was very amiable. Food was excellent and cooked to perfection. We had a great evening and will definitely return.

I was disappointed that, even though we requested a vegan grain-free meal, the chef was only able to provide pasta primavera, which is not grain-free. And there was almost zero flavor. We showered it with salt and pepper to improve the flavor. The spinach salad was delicious, though. Typically, high-scale restaurants like Rose Plantation go out of their way to cater to dietary restrictions. So, I was disappointed.

Second visit. Just as good as our first. Always a wonderful meal and great service. The house is quite a charming atmosphere.

My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. A pretty view of the lake as the sun is setting. Courteous, helpful and prompt service from our waiter Willy and a delicious dinner to top it all off! We’ll be back to dine again for sure!
