Welcome to The Rose Inn
The Rose Inn is located in the beautiful rural area of North Warwickshire in the village of Baxterley with stunning views over Leicestershire, Birmingham and on
into the far distance.

The Rose sits opposite the site of the old Baddesley colliery, behind the village green and duck pond with an orchard and large relaxing area overlooking the pond.

Originally believed to be a 'Gentleman's residence', the building dates back to the 18th century and has served as a courthouse, jail, mortuary and for more than a hundred years as a public house.

A wonderful spot for lunch, dinner or drinks From the moment we stepped in, we could tell this was going to be a lovely experience. The setting was absolutely stunning—comfortably designed with just the right balance of charm and sophistication. Whether you're seated indoors surrounded by warm lighting and tasteful decor, or outside with a view of the peaceful pond surrounded by beautiful countryside, the atmosphere is serene and inviting. The restaurant offers a lovely menu with a great variety of options, and every dish we tried was genuinely delicious. Thoughtfully prepared with fresh ingredients, each course was beautifully presented and full of flavour. It’s clear the kitchen puts care and attention into everything they serve. What truly set the experience apart, though, was the service. The staff were warm, professional, and genuinely attentive without being intrusive. They anticipated our needs with grace and made us feel completely welcomed and cared for throughout the entire evening. This is the kind of restaurant that you’ll want to return to time and time again—not just for the food, but for the complete experience. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a memorable meal in a truly beautiful setting.

We ordered 2 fish and chips, good sized portion, nice chips, nice white haddock, minted peas and home made tartar sauce. 1 smashed burger, very nice but onion rings greasy.

We had wanted to try here for a while but unfortunately we were very underwhelmed! The menu is over priced for the quality of food. I had the belly pork which was very bland and was mainly fat. My husband had the gammon. The gammon was fine but the chips, whilst home made, tasted grainy and just weren’t right. My daughter did however enjoyed her salt and pepper chicken starter. The burgers were reasonably priced but steaks in particular where well over what I would expect to pay in a pub. This is a great place to sit outside with a drink and enjoy the view but we will not be returning for food.

The best sunday lunch I have ever had, the beef just fell apart, the roast potatoes were incredible one of the best again. Highly recommend and already want to go back!! Lovely scenery outside aswell, can imagine it would be stunning with the sun out.

Not been in many many years so decided to go up last night. Was well worth a visit staff really friendly and food was out of this world would defo be going back

We ate at 1800 on a Sunday..the roast turkey was fine but the pork was too thickly cut and with rubbery crackling Roast potatoes too salty
