A very special meal - totally delicious, and we were so well looked after. A beautiful setting too.

Wonderful service, very attentive and informative. Lovely to have a dining and drinking experience which couldn't be replicated at home- an elevated level of experience.
The staff were even accommodating after we had some unforeseeable issues with arrival time and numbers of guests booked.

Food great as always and efficient and friendly service. Somewhat noisy - but the night before lockdown perhaps not unexpected. Love the menu.

A lovely friendly restaurant with good food and wine and great staff. Their prices are fair too although prices of some of the wines by the glass can be a bit of surprise! We had a lovely pre-lockdown evening. As soon as we are able we’ll be back!

We ate dinner twice at The Rose - both excellent. Imaginative cooking with fresh local ingredients. We will return!

Had read great reviews and our Sunday lunch didn’t disappoint. Beautifully cooked roast beef and couldn’t fault anything. Will definitely return for more.

As always amazing food and great ambience but slightly spoiled by terrible service topped off when they served warm potato salad to my partner and only told her afterwards it was cooked in chicken stock! As a vegetarian of 34 yrs she was over the moon! When we queried this with the manager, and in particular the fact the menu made no reference to this not being suitable for vegetarians, we were met with an aloof attitude and the response “it just isn’t our style”! Meaning it isn’t their style to tell veggies when menu items aren’t suitable (watch out if you have a nut allergy!). Great food, average service and terrible manager who needs dragging into the 21st century

Food is superb- clean, simple with fresh produce and absolutely delicious. The cocktails are a bit on the expensive side for their small size but if enjoying a nice meal with beer would highly recommend The Rose. Stunning restaurant

Everything was simply delicious! We were warmly welcomed on arrival and service was prompt but at no point rushed. We enjoyed our table for over 2 hours, eating three fabulous courses as well as wine and cocktails. The restaurant has a lovely buzz, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The food was some of the best we have eaten - this is simply a must visit when in Deal.

Absolutely delicious, every single course was perfect. Porcini bread sauce is a game changer!

This an excellent option in Deal. Really well run. Managed to implement restrictions whilst still creating a relaxing and enjoyable environment. Staff were very attentive. The menu is imaginative and emphasises local produce. An excellent experience.

Had lunch here on Sunday to celebrate our son in laws 50th birthday. We were a party of 8 so obviously due to Covid restrictions we would be unable to be seated together ! However we asked to have adjacent tables ! On arrival 5 of our party were placed in the bar area the other three in the restaurant so we were unable to even see each other ! This booking was made several weeks ago and the request was made at the time, so naturally we were very disappointed to have had our request ignored ! The food was okay but a strange choice ! I would have expected more emphasis on Sunday roasts! The shoulder of lamb was really fatty with very little edible meat ! The potatoes however were amazing ! Beware of the steep steps to the toilets I found out too late that a disabled toilet was available ! A lot of noise from the kitchen/bar with empty bottles being discarded ! All in all a disappointment

We had to send ours back and we’re still charged full price which was shocking and not even a sorry

Great food and environment would definitely return and already making plans to do so.

We came on a rainy October Thursday. Really impressed lovely setting, really professional service and amazing food. Worth the 1 hour drive !!!

Lovely dinner and experience at The Rose recently. Local squid, grilled oysters, grilled cabbage, skate wing and a pumpkin dish, all delicious and just what we hoped for. Nice enough wines. Service was lovely. Summed up to a very enjoyable evening. A real treat when visiting Deal. Could easily become a regular here if only I were a local. Recommended.

An absolutely delicious meal - the lobster doughnuts were a highlight as you’d expect! Very tasty mains and well-seasoned all round (I had lemon sole, chips and griddled hispi cabbage). Great dining room and a relaxing bar next door. A great destination spot for Deal.
