Really good Sunday lunch with friends. Service was attentive without being invasive and food was excellent. Will definitely be back as dog friendly

The Rose and Crown was perfect on Friday for what we wanted, but have not given 5 stars for everything as in other circumstances the service might be considered a bit slow and there is always room for slight improvement somewhere.

I took my parents there and we loved everything! The set menu has a good range of food and wine. Plenty of parking in front. The service was very friendly.

We were able to get a table for 6 at short notice although I have booked well in advance previously when there was a large group of us. Our waiter was David. He Was able to answer our questions regarding the vegan & gluten free options & went to double check in the kitchen if he was unsure. The vegan & gluten free menu worked very well for my daughter. We all enjoyed our food & will definitely be back again.

The food would have been lovely had it got to the table hot. The restaurant was very busy and seemed understaffed. Both starters and mains weren’t very hot and that was for four people. Ordering drinks took an age too so hence we ate our food and left without getting dessert. Shame as am sure if they’d had more staff on it would have helped. Waiting staff polite though.
